June 2023[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Wiesbaden Hot Springs, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Please do not change statistical information in articles without providing a reliable, verifiable published source. The temperature is based on the reference - we stick to what the sources say. Word of mouth is not considered a reliable source for encyclopedic inclusion. Netherzone (talk) 00:29, 21 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There was no removal of content or templates, only updates to correct information. The previous version showed our source temparature at 118F, though it has been over 125F and holding at 127F. The soaking pool temperature was also shown lower than daily records. I only updated numbers to accurate readings- nothing more, nothing less. 204.10.127.70 (talk) 20:22, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am happy to provide live video of source temperature testing, or anything else to prove authenticity. I live on site and test this information daily as the general manager. 204.10.127.70 (talk) 20:37, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, thank you very much for confirming that you have a conflict of interest. Please read the notification below on Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for conflict of interest editors.
You need to: stop editing the article directly and instead use the edit request system on the article talk page. Secondly, because Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not some random website, or your own website or the Wiesbaden Hot Springs website, all information (content) contained in articles MUST be backed up by a verifiable, independent, published reliable source. The current information in the article is based on multiple published sources. If you can find an independent (meaning not connected to you or to the establishment), verifiable (so our editors can check/verify the reference), that is published in a (book, magazine, newspaper, government source, scientific journal) reliable source WP:RS, then please add that information along with detailed information on the reference including author, title, publisher, publication date, URL, etc. to the article talk page as an edit request. That way an independent WP editor(s) can check the information and decide to add it to the article (or not). Thanks in advance! Netherzone (talk) 21:42, 19 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, 204.10.127.70. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Wiesbaden Hot Springs, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted.

As General Manager of the commercial establishment, you have a conflict of interest, and must stop editing the article directly, and instead make suggestions for edits on the article talk page. Please read and digest WP:COI; this is especially important since you have a financial connection. That is how things work here on Wikipedia, we are an encyclopedia with content that is based on verifiable, published reliable sources, not on word of mouth or photos from employees. We are not the same as a personal website to promote private or public companies or individuals. If you want to change ("update") content and statistics, please do that on the establishment's website, where you can write whatever you like based on your own temperature readings. Here all content must be backed up by published reliable sources. Several published books as well as NOAA have published temperature data on the hot springs that differs from the stats you changed in the article. Thank you.
