[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions so far. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

- Simplified Manual of Style
You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:
- Create new pages and rename pages
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Upload images
- Have your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed
Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a certain number of days and made a certain number of edits.
If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (2601:204:C201:C1E0:486:F262:586B:118D) is used to identify you instead.
I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).

[edit]Hello, I'm Meters. I noticed that you recently removed content from Winona Ryder without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Perhaps you should actually read the cited source before removing something and saying that it needs to be sourced. Meters (talk) 00:33, 5 May 2018 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Winona Ryder, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Per WP:BRD take it to talk. We have a source for this. You claim that there are sources that contradict it? Well, lets see them. Meters (talk) 03:32, 5 May 2018 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Samuel Goldwyn Jr., you may be blocked from editing. Please stop removing correct and easily sourced material. If you want to request a source just tag the claim. You have done this on more than one article. Meters (talk) 03:50, 5 May 2018 (UTC)

Your edit summary
[edit]Hey, no need to call out @Mosstacker: in the edit summary. You were reverted because you removed content without a proper explanation (and consensus is also nice). Also, your edit summaries are appearing to be slightly hostile. I would recommend that you read up on WP:NPA before you talk about people in the edit summary.
Thanks, EggRoll97 (talk) 04:24, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
Warning
[edit]Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. --Kansas Bear (talk) 05:03, 23 July 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Some of your recent edit summaries have been pushing the envelope in terms of WP:CIVIL and it was raised at AIV. I have declined the report, but you really do need to tone it down a bit. Best regards... -Ad Orientem (talk) 16:47, 27 July 2018 (UTC)

If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at Gurmit Singh, you may be blocked from editing. Edit summaries
[edit]Please remember to be civil in your edit summaries. They seem to be written in a somewhat harsh tone. There's no need to include messages to "trolls".
It might also be more understandable to write "Removing unsourced content" or "Needs a citation" instead of "No links" (which I didn't understand). You can also add a {{citation needed}}
to unsourced content.
Thank you. – Þjarkur (talk) 01:11, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Bleed India with a Thousand Cuts. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.
If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Kautilya3 (talk) 11:39, 18 February 2019 (UTC)

Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

ARBIPA sanctions alert
[edit]This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Disruptive editing - large scale deletions
[edit]@RegentsPark, Drmies, and Bbb23: this IP user is making large scale deletion in massive scale without discussion or valid reason(s). I tried reverting lots of it back, but it is too much. As you can see, the IP was warned many times. It is still continuing. I or other users just don't have time to clean or revert this massive amount of deletion. Please help. This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
