Reply[edit]

I'm really sorry, I just don't believe in "feminizing" old ships! Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.33.2.49 (talkcontribs) 14:49, 9 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well, that is just something you are going to have to live with. But if you really feel you can't, then you can start an RfC at the guideline talk page to seek a consensus to have the guideline changed. Good luck. - wolf 19:19, 9 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring notice[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on USS Constitution. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.

Note: Please see reply on Talk:USS Constitution#It vs. She. Thank you

Question[edit]

Okay, how do I work to reach a consensus with other users. I feel like I have alienated many users here, even though I have no intention of disrupting or vandalizing pages (though we cannot read each others minds and filter out intentions, right?).

I want to improve and add content to pages as much as the next user. I just wish my fellow users were friendlier about it. Although I have had some people give me friendly reminders (keyword isn't "warnings" as you can tell).

So please let me know how I can actually improve a page, and even offer to help if you can, but do not "threaten" me with being blocked or other punitive measures. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.33.2.49 (talk) 13:55, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I have a question for you first. You signed your talk page comment on Talk:USS Constitution as "Wiscipidier". There is an account on WP with that username. They also both seem to have Wisconsin in common. If that is your account, then I would strongly urge you to sign in and use that account only, as per WP:EWLO. I will check over there and once you have re-posted your questions from here over on that user talk page, I will respond there and try to help you out. - wolf 18:31, 10 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, they do. Thank you for suggesting that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wiscipidier (talkcontribs) 23:45, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

November 2022[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Bridget. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions—specifically this edit to Will Smith–Chris Rock slapping incident—because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks.
