April 2024[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Susquehanna International Group, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Coop (talk) 06:13, 27 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This is insane. They don't lease the whole building. They have a single floor. It is misleading to refer to the whole building as their office. 98.115.164.53 (talk) 03:17, 28 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Welcome![edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, at 98.115.164.53, has made edits to History of the transistor that do not conform to our policies and guidelines and therefore have been reverted. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you did not do this, you may wish to consider getting a username to avoid confusion with other editors. If you'd like to experiment with the syntax, please do so in the sandbox rather than in articles.

You don't have to log in to read or edit pages on Wikipedia, but creating an account is quick, free, requires no personal information, and has many benefits. Without a username, your IP address is used to identify you.

Some good links for newcomers are:

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and a timestamp. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask the Help Desk, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Again, welcome! DoebLoggs (talk) 08:58, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your expedient countervandalism efforts were actually largely incorrect. 98.115.164.53 (talk) 09:02, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm used to accept criticism, I know I can make mistakes and I usually apologise when this happens, but in this case I still think your edit is not constructive, at least in the reformulation of the lead where the introductory short sentence "This is the history of the transistor" is a form I never encounterd on the wikipedia and in the removal of the "Sustainable transistors" section that is properly sourced and in my opinion relevant to the article, not a typical promotional content for sure. The same news is also published here for example. --DoebLoggs (talk) 09:34, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Jimmy Wales sucks for letting Wikipedia get to this state. 98.115.164.53 (talk) 09:55, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You can tell him, here. --DoebLoggs (talk) 10:00, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Its not worth editing Wikipedia when people like you revert positive changes because you're too stuck in your ways. 98.115.164.53 (talk) 10:03, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
And no, I can't tell him there. I'm talking to you, not him. 98.115.164.53 (talk) 10:04, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
As you can easily notice, I didn't revert you again and left your version even if I think your edit were not constructive (not vandalism and not bad faith). Since this is a matter of opinions on a preferrable form I'm not going to revert it. By the way I posted a Welcome message, not a warning. In any case if you have some suggestion on how to improve wikipedia or you have complaints about how Jimbo Wales lets "Wikipedia get to this state", I will recommend to tell him, not me. Bye, --DoebLoggs (talk) 10:13, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. I apologize for the personal attack. 98.115.164.53 (talk) 10:30, 28 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
