It's an article about bacon wrapped food, and essentially everything that revolves around it including famous dishes, its popularity in media, health critics, etc. If anyone can read my article and give me some feedback on what I can improve that would be great, thank you! Welcome, Pasta and Banner blindness

Hello,

thank you for trying your hand at editing Wikipedia. It can be challenging to get started, but it is quite fun in the end.

I am coming today because you made an edit (your first in article mainspace, apparently) to add a banner on top of the List of Pasta article, requesting more references to be added in the article.

While I'm sure you were trying to help, the gesture is in fact, pretty useless and somewhat counterproductive: nobody reads these banners (see Banner blindness for instance; or simply consider that some of these have been lying around for years now). And for folks like me who actually do try to improve articles with references, well it is simply disheartening to see someone stick such an ugly item on top of a page we have been working hard on. It really is.

So please: don't do banners, unless you're willing to put the amount of work needed to remove them (and to be sure, there is a lot of lazy people out there who won't do that. Please don't be one of them).
