A tag has been placed on Werner Schmidt (Gynaecology and Obstetrics) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.pfaelzischer-merkur.de/saarpfalz/homburg/Homburg-Professor-Werner-Schmidt-feiert-diesen-Samstag-70-Geburtstag;art27550,4966421. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". • Ab.bekhit: I have removed the speedy deletion template. However, with this edit, you removed the Articles for deletion template and you also replaced the text with German copied from one of the newspaper articles. Do not copy text! It is a legal violation. I am puzzled that you have not created this article on the German Wikipedia. The different-language Wikipedias are independent; I note that when you recreated the article, you did so in English. Thank you for that, but we do have a German Wikipedia also. However, there too, you must not copy.
You should contribute to the deletion discussion about the article if you want it to be kept. If it is deleted as a result of the discussion, it will be very difficult to make an article about him again without it being deleted. The discussion is taking place here and will last for one week, possibly longer. Yngvadottir (talk) 20:59, 19 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have reverted your recent edits to the article because the references do not support the claim. If you can find a reference saying that he was one of the first to recommend using prostoglandins, please add it. Links to his publications are also not very useful, because of course as an academic he will have publications. The special guidelines on notability for academics require the publications to be influential in the field. The easiest way to show that is to cite an academic paper, book, or newspaper saying so. Again, I recommend that you take part in the deletion discussion. Say why you believe the article should be kept! Yngvadottir (talk) 20:24, 22 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
