Wikipedia is not crystal ball

[edit]

If you continue to add/edit information without providing citation, such as PIA plans to use seat plans from air asia x (PIA does NOT follow seat plans, rather makes its own), you will be reported and subsequently banned.

Additionally, if you are not familiar with how wikipedia works, follow other articles as an example. PIA leases planes from many companies. It does NOT mean we have to mention who it leases it from. No one cares who PIA is leasing airplane from, or any airline. Hence you do not see this information be it on emirates, PIA, Air India and so forth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.157.147.100 (talk) 21:12, 27 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia isn't a crystal ball in providing info, but it can be made by our efforts. This reflects your mindset that do you want to make it or not. On other hand regarding citations, the website of an airline can be given as reference but in the case of the PIA, does PIA updates its website regarding its fleet? Does it provides you seating configurations? No. I took all of this info from Planespotters.net . Now you cant say that this website also isn't crystal clear in giving info. Be open and Clear minded! Well I felt good that you commented on my edits. Appreciated!

Hello there. Please note that I've reverted the article back to a version [1] that was later modified by you. This was done following the mass removal of content and references made by user Nofil Jawed. I warned them at their talk page. Regards.--Jetstreamer Talk 23:19, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Airblue, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Muscat. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Question

[edit]

G'day from Oz, where it appears we have the better cricket team (although I can take no credit for that). I have a question: which date format is used in Pakistan, is it day-month-year or month-day-year? Cheers YSSYguy (talk) 01:45, 23 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Sure we have a good team and an interesting match too :D! Well, in Pakistan the format is Day-Month-Year. Have a good day! Abdulrafey97 (talk) 08:36, 23 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Jetstreamer Talk 13:50, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Fine. But what about the destinations? A proper reference link was provided which was from the airline's official website. Airblue currently has 12 destinations, not 14. And even for the 14 destinations, no reference was provided before my editing. Abdulrafey97 (talk) 14:51, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
That is not a valid explanation for removing the terminated destinations from the list.--Jetstreamer Talk 22:18, 10 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Isn't it better for you to read the reference already provided before the fleet table on Saudia's page? If you want to add any information, please provide a source or reference. You said it! Abdulrafey97 (talk) 16:49, 15 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Shaheen Air fleet

[edit]

"A proper reference is already provided and still editing the fleet number of A320s to 7 instead of 8 is against the policy of Wikipedia, which is to provide crystal clear details to Wikipedia readers with a reference even if the information is old. It's better not to add/remove any information without reference."

Against the policy?

I am the one providing them with 'crystal clear' details. The fleet table heading says 'In Service', which refers to aircraft that are currently operating for the airline, and being used to generate revenue. In which case, the correct number of IN SERVICE A320s would be 7, not 8. There are 8 in the fleet of Shaheen Air, but AP-BLH has been stored at Karachi since 6th May due to it being over 20 years old now. I provided 2 valid references, both of which you were very eager to remove. I did not remove any information, I UPDATED it with 2 valid and up-to-date references as well, I don't see how that's against Wiki's policy. I suggest you relax with reverting edits, the talk page is here for a reason. Anyway, you've mentioned '1 stored' in the notes, which is somewhat acceptable, although a total of 18 aircraft being in service isn't accurate or correct, but you seem to be the type of Wiki editor who must always get his way regardless of whether it's even correct or not. --Murtaza2000 (talk) 17:52, 17 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! All of the above written can be your thoughts and I respect it. It could possibly be true. Never the less, how could be flightradar24 be a reference for saying that an A320 is stored? Was there any press release by the airline itself? If yes, then provide that. Even then, without any proper reference of storage that clearly mentions that the specific A320 is stored - as you say - and if you wish to provide crystal clear information, then won't it be more appropriate way of giving information about total number of fleet with heading 'Total' instead of 'In Service' and writing ** stored in notes? Its an advice and if you like then go ahead with this. I removed the reference of flightradar24 because many of the aircraft don't have ADS-B receivers or there isn't any coverage of FR24 and as a result there isn't any history of flights available for the aircraft. So in this case, can I assume that that specific aircraft, with no ADS-B transponder or where that aircraft is flying there isn't F24's coverage, is stored?
