Proposed deletion of Jimmy "Mad Dog" Matis[edit]

The article Jimmy "Mad Dog" Matis has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no sources that show notability. simply a local jock. does not meet WP:GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Roncelli[edit]

Hi! You're a new editor here I see. Welcome. I am glad you want to be an editor on Wikipedia. It is fun, interesting and educational. Like just about any social endevour you may undertake tho, there are rules and guidelines for participation here. One very important one is that we assume good faith. I would not have removed what I did if I did not believe it was incorrect. When someone challenges an edit you have made, the proper thing to do is to start a discussion on the article's talk page. You do not just put it back. My access to the internet is limited these days and I am writing this on my phone which is pretty worthless for editing. But if you start a discussion on the talk page I will respond in a day or two. Along with reinstating Mad Dog, whom you have not shown to be notable, you replaced a claim of achievement that was referenced to the school's website. Claims of achievement need to have independent reference. Please read some of the links at the top of this page. Thanks. John from Idegon (talk) 05:07, 27 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
