Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently tried to give Paleochora a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut and paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is needed for attribution and various other purposes. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. Palaiochora

[edit]

Hi, we both agree that the name of the town is Παλαιόχωρα. In our rules how to transliterate Greek to English (see WP:GREEK, which is based on an official UN system) "αι" becomes "ai". I have seen similar cases on many road signs in Greece. If you don't agree, you can start a move discussion at WP:RM. Please don't copy and paste content from one article to another, like you did. Markussep Talk 15:04, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to add content, please do so at the article Palaiochora. As I said above, if you think the article should be renamed, use WP:RM. So to answer your question, if you're going to copy content from Palaichora to Paleochora again, I will remove it again. Markussep Talk 14:27, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your contribution on List of Mensans, however it was removed. To be added to that list the individual must be notable according to Wikipedia standards, and the addition must be reliably sourced. You addition did not seem to meet notability requirements and the source directed to a promotional webpage about the island of Paleochora. If you have questions about how Wikipedia is supposed to work, check out some of the links at the top of your talk page in the welcome message I added. Cheers.
