Your submission at Articles for creation: HALLEL COLLEGE (April 25)

[edit]
Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Velella was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: No evidence of any notability. Primary schools and nurseries are very rarely deemed to be notable on Wikipedia

Comments and advice regarding your attempts to create an article

[edit]
  • I see that you have created two draft articles on the same subject. It is not helpful to do that, as it makes it difficult for other editors to keep track of what is being done, and also wastes the time of reviewers, who may not know about the other copy of essentially the same draft which has already been reviewed.
  • Having seen both drafts declined because of a lack of suitable sources you decided to ignore the opinions of the experienced editors who had reviewed them, and went ahead and created an article directly. The sourcing there was is anything even worse, as the sources you cited did not confirm any of the content of the article. If that were the only version of the page I might have moved it to draft space to allow work on it to improve it and make it suitable as an article, but since there are already two drafts in existence there is no point in having yet another one, so I shall delete it.
  • My advice to new editors is that it is best to start by making small improvements to existing articles, rather than creating new articles. That way any mistakes you make will be small ones, and you won't have the discouraging experience of repeatedly seeing hours of work deleted. Gradually, you will get to learn how Wikipedia works, and after a while you will know enough about what is acceptable to be able to write whole new articles without fear that they will be deleted. Over the years I have found that editors who start by making small changes to existing articles and work up from there have a far better chance of having a successful time here than those who jump right into creating new articles from the start. • While I was posting the above message to you, you added a reference to Wikipedia to the article. Wikipedia is not acceptable as a reference, for at least two reasons: (1) it is not a reliable source, as anyone can write anything here, and (2) Wikipedia using the fact that Wikipedia says something as justification for saying that same thing is meaningless. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to introduce inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, as you did at Hallel College, you may be blocked from editing. If you need guidance on how to create appropriate pages, try using the Article Wizard. Most of us, including myself, make mistakes when we first edit Wikipedia. Because you were making mistakes I put a significant amount of thought and time into writing the above messages to try to help you, and you chose to ignore my attempt to help. Continuing to make the same "mistake" after you have had explanation as to why it is a mistake is a different matter from initially making a mistake. If you still wish to work on creating an article, despite my advice to get experience in editing first, then work on improving one of the drafts you have created, and if and when it reaches a state where an experienced reviewer thinks it is suitable, it can become an article. You have been blocked from editing for a period of 31 hours for persistently creating an unsuitable article. I shall move the article to draft space, and when the block is over you will be free to work on improving it there, as I have already explained to you. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 21:52, 26 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Obi Imemba requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
