Before posting: a bit about Al-Andalus

He's been contributing to the Wiki project since mid 2004. He is an Aussie by birth, and a flag-carrying one at that. He has affectionately been called a mutt due to his ethno-religious origins. He's been to every continent on the face of the earth. He is fluent in several world languages.

While he does have, and has never denied having, strong opinions and views of his own (as you may already know) which might be considered contraversial by some - perhaps even "horrifying" if in stark opposition to the mainstream political or other mantra of any of the ethnic and/or religious communities he was born into - he does contribute to the Wiki project independant of said opinions and views. He may even contribute content going against his views, if that is what fact supports, while still maintaining his right to personally dissent in the belief of said fact.

He recognises everyone's freedom of speech and thought, and recognises every person's value as a human being.

Unspecified source for Image:Cantor_Joseph_Cysner.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Cantor_Joseph_Cysner.jpeg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:18, 16 April 2008 (UTC). Chile

[edit]

  • 9° Another study conducted by Jose Flores Garcia - History, Modern.- In Peru, one of the oldest countries of occupation, while the Amerindian are 54% population and 32% Mestizos, white of Spanish origin barely reach 12% and are fewer blacks and Japanese. Something different is the situation in Colombia - white 20%, Amerindian 2%, mestizo, 58% black, 4%, mulatto, 14% - and in Mexico, white 15%, Amerindian 30% and mestizo 55%. Brazil, for its part, has only a small population with Amerindian (0.4%), 53% white European origin, recent extraction, especially Portuguese, Spaniards, Italians and Germans, 34%, mestizos, and its very important to black people in the past, now limited to 11%, reaching a high percentage of black (22%). Finally, Argentina, Chile and Uruguay, its population is composed almost entirely of a white population - over 70% -, Spaniards and Italians for the most part, besides some minorities of Jews, Levante (Syrian Lebanese Armenians) and Central, mostly Germans, arrived mainly after 1800, ranging between Aborigines and a seven percent.

Cordiales saludos--Kusamanic (talk) 14:51, 22 February 2009 (UTC)--Kusamanic (talk) 14:51, 22 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, i would greatly appreciate it if you could source this para that you inserted?
He states it was a topic which was spoken of openly until relatively recent history, much as the Egyptians or Lebanese are aware of their origin in the ancient Egyptians and Phoenicians respectively, and speak of it even if it arouse the passions of those who wish to stress or de-emphasize it. As with other "Arabs", the origin of Palestinians also became a relegated issue over time, but for them, the additional emergence of Zionism in the early 19th century constituted a competing national interest not directly affecting other "Arabs" (although Arab nationalism would serve as a counter-force vis-à-vis Zionism), and so the topic of origin became admonished, then transforming into outright hostility as a blemish of liability following the establishment of modern Israel by world Jewry, to the Palestinians' detriment.

Chile

[edit]

Perhaps rather than continuing reverting the edits of others on the subject of race relations on this and other articles, you would be more effective if you discussed the problems on each article's talk page and reach consensus. Errors and changes without consensus

[edit]

Your changes no correspond to describe the Demographics of Chile or Chile as a nation, not even for ethnography (Greek ethnos-εθνος, "tribe, people" - and graph-γραφω, "I write" - literally "description of people") is a research method of social and cultural anthropology that facilitates the study and understanding of a particular socio-cultural field, normally a human community with its own identity. It is based on interviews and observation (participant observation is the most important), with the field work a basic tool in the research process. "It has to do with the study of culture or cultures of a population, not its composition "racial" or phenotypes and genotypes. That should be encompassed under bioarchaeology or physical anthropology or "study population", but in no case in an article of population or demography. Therefore, I ask that you refrain from changes and opinions as this 1):The only reliable sources regarding the ancestral origins of Chile's population are genetic studies, and all of these, thus far, indicate various majority figures for Chileans of admixed origin, in varying degrees of European and Amerindian admixture. 2): controversy: 35% Amerindian with traces [around 1%] of other admixture." the top 1%?, You are manipulating sources.3): Large listing on their "disputes" and "inaccuracies", though I assume in good faith, but copiare this same message in the corresponding talk page, so that agreed changes and to avoid an edit war, for now return to the information origin. Edit warring

[edit]

You seem to be engaged in a slow edit war at Chile, particularly with your insistent replacement of [content without consensus]. While the three reverts rule specifically limits the number of reverts allowable per day, its intention is to prevent edit warring of any kind. Even a slow edit war, if it goes on long enough, is grounds for a block. If you disagree with the contents of the article, please discuss the matter on the talk page, not in edit summaries as you repeatedly revert the change. Ccrazymann (talk) 05:49, 28 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You also appear to be initiating an edit war in Chilean American. Please reach concensus on the talk page before making and reverting contentious edits. Clovis Sangrail (talk) 13:04, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You removed references, and provide no support for you contention. A careful read recognises that the 48% is talking about all hispanics in the US, not only Chiliean ones. The paragraph is poorly worded, but your changes made it little clearer. You have also not discussed the issue on the talk page before reverting a forth time. Clovis Sangrail (talk) 13:39, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Chilean American. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. . You violated it with this edit. Furthermore, you haven't discussed these changes on the articles talk page--Work permit (talk) 00:45, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

seems to me that you have never been to chile

by the way, the universidad of chile is a middle low class university in every aspect, very much related with population of any king of indian ancestry —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dezdez1984 (talkcontribs) 22:50, 21 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I read Cruz-Coke's article, and in fact he is generalizing, because the object of the study is not about determining the genetic-racial composition of Chile, if not, to explain the cause of some genetic diseases. That leaves the statment of general racial admixture of 2/3 white and 1/3 mixed to interpretation. For exaple, in the high income group, if we take a sample of 100 people, 91 would be white, and 9 mixed; of that amount of people, probable 80 is fully white, with spanish or other ancestry, and 20 would have a darker skin. What i am trying to say basically is that genetically you cant say that the whole bulk of population is mestizo, with different amounts of racial admixture, because in fact if you walked through the streets of Santiago everyday you will see there are big differences between people, more than to say that 99,99999% of Chileans are mestizo.

Why do you think the other 10 sources Kusamanic named say what they say? Are they "liars"?

I think you should quit making statements that don´t concern you, about a country youve probably never been on.

Information icon Hello, I'm CaroleHenson. An edit that you recently made to Donald Trump sexual misconduct allegations seemed to be a test and has been removed. If you want more practice editing, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. It's so nice that you're interested in the topic, but the many of the edits have been unhelpful, especially where summarized content that is fully sourced is replaced with content that is not fully sourced. In addition, we're working against a request to have the article deleted... and the talk page discusses ways in which we need to be inline with a number of guidelines to make this a viable article. I would love to help, though, work together better. Perhaps you can take a stab at writing material in your sandbox and then we can work together getting it edited, cited, summarized, etc. for the article? CaroleHenson (talk) 09:40, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I started User:Al-Andalus/Trump sandbox for you and moved over all the info about the beauty contests and the Jane Doe info. I also left the tags that provide information about how to edit the section. I am happy to help out, too. Please let me know how I I can help or if you'd like suggestions about next moves with the content.--CaroleHenson (talk) 09:46, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and made comments to the sandbox page, based on your posting on my talk page. Sorry to shout in bold. I'm so beat and trying to get to bed, but I would have preferred to format fonts in blue, etc.... I just need to research that first, I haven't done it in awhile. Maybe you can think blue... or a lovely color of your choice when you see bold? Talk to you later!--CaroleHenson (talk) 13:26, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Donald Trump

[edit]

I see you're still very interested in Donald Trump, which I am glad to see. Someone reverted this sentence:

"After being pressed on the question multiple times by second presidential debate moderator Anderson Cooper, Trump's hesitated eventual denial on the moderator's third attempt of whether Trump had ever engaged in behaviour amounting to sexual assaults against females as boasted about in the recording led to more accusations by several women that Trump sexually assaulted them being published days later."

It seems that there are several sentences in here and it's wordy, but I think you're trying to get to something like:

"After being pressed multiple times with the question of whether Trump had ever sexually assaulted any woman, Trump finally on the third probing stated that he has not sexually assaulted anyone"

which was added by someone at the Donald Trump sexual misconduct allegations.

They did a nice job of something I skipped over entirely. Anyway, hope that helps. If you'd like to move that sentence and its source, I bet that would be appreciated.

Hope you're having a good day!--CaroleHenson (talk) 23:22, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. I know that you've got a great interest, which is good. However, your edits end up being more disruptive than helpful, particularly when they: contain info that is already in the article, particularly long-winded, and not well cited. I again recommend the sandbox approach, just to get rolling. Once you get a hang of these concepts, it will be much easier. CaroleHenson (talk) 23:40, 13 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Again, I am happy to work with you, but rather than just taking it on myself, I'm going to post the content here that needs work to remove redundancy of what's already in the article, properly position the content, and summarize for brevity.
Donald Trump sexual allegations content

Reactions Trump surrogates have dismissed the accusations, including those with corroborating witness accounts, as beng without "merit or veracity". Trump has personally labelled his acussers as "horrible, horrible liars."[1]

Trump's camp has demanded retractions and threatened libel lawsuits, though it has not clarified if this would be against publishing media outlets or Trump's accusers.

The New York Times’ lawyer, David McCraw, dismissed Trump's charge that their actions constituted libel and has rejected a demand for retraction, informing Trump's legal team that the reporters worked to “confirm the women’s accounts” and had given Trump the opportunity to respond.[2]

"The essence of a libel claim, of course, is the protection of one’s reputation... Mr. Trump has bragged about his non-consensual sexual touching of women. He has bragged about intruding on beauty pageant contestants in their dressing rooms. He acquiesced to a radio hosts’ request to discuss Mr. Trump’s own daughter as a “piece of ass.” Multiple women not mentioned in our article have publicly come forward to report on Mr. Trump’s unwanted advances. Nothing in our article has the slightest effect on the reputation that Mr. Trump, through his own words and actions, has already created for himself... [I]f [Trump] believes that American citizens had no right to hear what these women had to say and that the law of this country forces us and those who would dare to criticize him to stand silent or be punished, we welcome the opportunity to have a court set him straight"

— David McGraw, USA Today

CNN has reported that such a legal move by Trump against those accusers whose statutes of limitations for lawsuits against Trump have lapsed would be counterproductive. Such a move, CNN reported, would then open Trump up for legal discovery by his own motion, which would not have been possible at the motion of the acussers themselves due to expiry of statute of limitation limits.

Hi,

I don't think you mean to, but it appears that there are a number of times when you made edits that you're inadvertently overwriting information that had been edited for improvement - or overwriting information that was correctly formatted, written based upon a specific source - and then overlayed with another source. For instance, last night I was working on cleaning up citations and two of them have been reverted to where they were before I edited. It looks like we were both in the Recording controversy and October 9 debate section around the same time.

Is it possible that you may be making edits where instead of typing information into the edit window you're copying information into the window?--CaroleHenson (talk) 06:29, 16 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Prostitution law, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Illegal. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Discretionary Sanctions warning

[edit]
This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding all edits about, and all pages related to post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

Note: See Talk:Donald Trump-Russia dossier for an explanation. --MelanieN (talk) 19:58, 1 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

PLEASE STOP re-adding this inaccurate material to the lede. I have invited you to the talk page to discuss this. I have warned you that the article is under special restrictions so that you can't just keep on re-adding your own version. I do not want to have to report you for violating the Discretionary Sanctions, but that will be the only recourse if you keep on ignoring messages and edit-warring misinformation back into the lede. --MelanieN (talk) 20:29, 2 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. [edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Adultery. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. PepperBeast (talk) 04:51, 22 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Unclean animal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Masorah (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Notice of Arbitration Enforcement noticeboard discussion

[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a report involving you at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement regarding a possible violation of an Arbitration Committee decision.TheTimesAreAChanging (talk) 22:25, 15 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

January 2018

[edit]
To enforce an arbitration decision and for Disruptive editing and violation of the "consensus required" provision on the page Donald Trump-Russia dossier, you have been blocked from editing for a period of 1 week. You are welcome to edit once the block expires; however, please note that the repetition of similar behavior may result in a longer block or other sanctions.

If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing blocks (specifically this section) before appealing. Place the following on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Please copy my appeal to the [[WP:AE|arbitration enforcement noticeboard]] or [[WP:AN|administrators' noticeboard]]. Your reason here OR place the reason below this template. ~~~~}}. If you intend to appeal on the arbitration enforcement noticeboard I suggest you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template on your talk page so it can be copied over easily. You may also appeal directly to me (by email), before or instead of appealing on your talk page. GoldenRing (talk) 11:31, 16 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Reminder to administrators: In May 2014, ArbCom adopted the following procedure instructing administrators regarding Arbitration Enforcement blocks: "No administrator may modify a sanction placed by another administrator without: (1) the explicit prior affirmative consent of the enforcing administrator; or (2) prior affirmative agreement for the modification at (a) AE or (b) AN or (c) ARCA (see "Important notes" [in the procedure]). Administrators modifying sanctions out of process may at the discretion of the committee be desysopped."

I removed what you wrote on Chilean Spanish because I dont think it helps argue the case for a process that happened 2000 years ago. Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. Wikipedia Wars and the Israel-Palestine conflict...please fill out my survey?

[edit]

Hello :) I am writing my MA dissertation on Wikipedia Wars and the Israel-Palestine conflict, and I noticed that you have contributed to those pages. My dissertation will look at the process of collaborative knowledge production on the Israel-Palestine conflict, and the effect it has on bias in the articles. This will involve understanding the profiles and motivations of editors, contention/controversy and dispute resolution in the talk pages, and bias in the final article.

For more information, you can check out my meta-wiki research page or my user page, where I will be posting my findings when I am done.

I would greatly appreciate if you could take 5 minutes to fill out this quick survey before 8 August 2021.

Participation in this survey is entirely voluntary and anonymous. There are no foreseeable risks nor benefits to you associated with this project.

Thanks so much,

Sarah Sanbar

The file File:Map-Hispanic countries.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused, low-res, no obvious use. Replaced with File:Detailed SVG map of the Hispanophone world.svg.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
