Autonomous Region of Wood[edit]

Hello, I'm Paul Bustion. You reference a Portuguese colony in Africa called the "Autonomous Region of Wood" in age of consent in Africa. I have never heard of such a place and googled it and found no references, I have not seen it mentioned on wikipedia. Are you sure this is a real place, or are you trolling?--PaulBustion88 (talk) 17:27, 16 April 2015 (UTC) Yes, I figured that out by now. I changed its name to Madeira in the article about the age of consent, because that seems to be what it is commonly called among English speakers. I do not think people will know what we're talking about if we say "Region of Wood". They might think its a joke. I have to admit that's what I thought originally. --PaulBustion88 (talk) 17:56, 16 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Autonomous Region of Madeira should remain in age of consent in Africa.[edit]

Hello, in age of consent in North America for sex, the British Virgin Islands' law is listed in the article even though they are part of the British Empire, it is not just relegated to the Europe article. The same should go in ages of consent in Africa, we can list the laws of Portuguese states' or subdivisions or whatever they specifically are in the geographical region they are. You could just write that Portuguese law applies in this case. --PaulBustion88 (talk) 18:10, 16 April 2015 (UTC) Wait, my mistake, I see that you added Madeira later on in the article, I thought you had just taken it out, I apologize.--PaulBustion88 (talk) 18:13, 16 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Jordan's law.[edit]

In most Islamic countries, sex outside of marriage is strictly illegal. I do not know what the law in Jordan now, but as recently as 2003, it was stated that adultery was illegal in Jordan. Source: Women of Jordan: Islam, Labor, and the Law By Amira El Azhary Sonbol 2003 Syracuse University Press page 198.https://books.google.com/books?id=JWDPO6T5Dq8C&pg=PA198&dq=jordan+law+against+adultery&hl=ga&sa=X&ei=x4wwVbnCHbXIsASx6YHQDw&ved=0CBwQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=jordan%20law%20against%20adultery&f=false https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Ages_of_consent_in_Asia&diff=prev&oldid=656644041 Here you seem to be stating that sex outside marriage is legal in Jordan as long as a person is an adult. I think sex outside marriage is illegal in most Islamic countries regardless of whether the people involved are adults or minors.--PaulBustion88 (talk) 04:36, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A problem[edit]

We have 2 problems with your recent edits ...firstly ...Wikipedia's licensing requires that attribution be given to all users involved in creating and altering the content of a page. When copying content from one article to another, at a minimum provide a link back to the source page in the edit summary at the destination page. See Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Secondly I personally don't see how age of concent has to do with LGBT rights. I will be reverting the edits on these two grounds. -- Moxy (talk) 19:50, 27 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

April 2015[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Homosexuality in Macau, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Dl2000 (talk) 00:44, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Odd edits[edit]

Hi. You appear to be doing constructive work in a number of LGBT rights articles, but some of your edits are puzzling. For example, you removed the first half of a sentence here and took out two necessary words in a sentence here. Please be careful! —Largo Plazo (talk) 19:11, 29 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for creating this article. I added it to Wikipedia:Wiki Loves Pride 2015/Results, which records new LGBT-related articles created during the month of June in conjunction with the annual Wiki Loves Pride campaign. If you happen to create or improve other LGBT-related articles this month, feel free to update the Results page accordingly. Thanks again! ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:36, 17 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Honduras[edit]

Hi, Alex!

Your edit here was removed because the reference is dead. http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.iberred.org/sites/defau/files/codigo_penal_de_honduras.pdf has nothing on the wayback machine WhisperToMe (talk) 23:38, 10 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Ages of consent in North America→‎Honduras[edit]

This is with regard to your edits done on 7 March 2016‎, regarding the"estupro" provision in Honduras law:

I don't think "stupor" is an appropriate translation of "estupro".
The general age of consent, as stated in any of the Wikipedia "ages of consent" pages, should be based on the unfettered age of consent. Given the "trust" criteria specified the in "estupro" provision, this provision cannot be considered to be "unfettered", bearing in mind that other jurisdictions which mention "trust" as a basis for a higher age of consent typically imply the alleged perpetrator is someone who's in a position of authority, and this does not.
