First Battle of Tapae[edit]

Because the text you added was so short (what we call a stub), I've reinstated the redirect and added your text to the main article where it will be more useful. Dougweller (talk) 10:18, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Talk:Legio IX Hispana[edit]

I can't imagine what you thought you were trying to do by blanking this page, but please don't do it again. While I'm thinking about it, could you explain your edits as you make them using WP:Edit summaries? Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 10:19, 12 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Halys[edit]

Please don't remove the {{unreferenced}} template from the article. As all articles should contain references, the template needs to stay so that helpful (and knowledgeable) editors can be guided to the article. Favonian (talk) 16:10, 22 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

June 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Battle of Raphia may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Battle of Zela[edit]

You need sources for the casualty figures (including 'probably the entire army'). As for you question about infoboxes, ask at the WP:Help desk. I'm not a big fan of infoboxes as too often we try to express a complicated or disputed issue in a tiny number of words when we use them. Dougweller (talk) 08:59, 25 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Arcole[edit]

Hi. Thanks for seeking to move "The Battle of Arcole" to the more logical name Battle of Arcole. A passing tip - when you want to move a page it is better to use the "Move" function instead of cutting and pasting the text to the new title. If you cut and paste the text we lose the page history, which is an essential requirement as all Wikipedia edits must be attributable to the editors who made them. I've fixed it in this instance.

Sometimes the move function won't work (for example, if there is already an article at the proposed new name), in which case feel free to post possible page moves at Wikipedia:Requested moves.

Hope this is helpful, and if I misunderstood what you were seeking with the page move, please let me know. Euryalus (talk) 12:58, 7 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for August 9[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Battle of Talavera, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page IV Corps. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

August 2014[edit]

Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Battle of Marengo shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. From the list of your contributions I see that you are not leaving any comment in the edit history. You need to start doing this particularly when you make large edits like this this one (see WP:UNRESPONSIVE).

If you make an edit and it is reverted then you should discuss the changes you want to make on the talk page and seek a consensus for them before reinserting them (see WP:CAUTIOUS and WP:BRD)

Copying within Wikipedia[edit]

With regards to this edit. You must not copy text from one Wikipedia page to another one without adequate attrition see Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Copying within Wikipedia and Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Wikiepdia takes breaches of copyright very seriously and repeat offenders are blocked. -- PBS (talk) 22:37, 13 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet[edit]

I have reason to believe from the edit history of your account and this IP address are edit being made by the same editor. As you are making edits to the same pages with the two accounts you either need to stop using IP address or declare the ip addresses and this user account to be one and the same account by placing the information on the user page of both accounts (See "Contributing to the same page or discussion with multiple accounts" (WP:ILLEGIT and WP:SOCK#NOTIFY).

If you continue to use IP addresses or deny that you are doing so I will ask for a WP:CHECKUSER to settle the issue. If on the other hand you acknowledge that you made those edits and you would like those IP addresses (but not the edit) removed from the edit history I can do that.-- PBS (talk) 12:30, 14 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Would you please stop moving this page randomly around to wrong names. The names is pretty much unambiguous, if you do not like it pls discuss. It is no fun to fix double redirects to delete junk which you have created. Continuation will likely result in a block.--Ymblanter (talk) 11:14, 14 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not move a page to a title that is harder to follow, or move it unilaterally against naming conventions or consensus, as you did to Battle on the Ice (Lake Peipus). This includes making page moves while a discussion remains under way. We have some guidelines to help with deciding what title is best for a subject. If you would like to experiment with page titles and moving, please use the test Wikipedia. Thank you. PatGallacher (talk) 00:36, 7 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

And this is your last warning. Next time you will be blocked.--Ymblanter (talk) 08:36, 7 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Battle of Cretopolis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.ccancients.net/Maps/Wars-of-the-Successors-323-281-BC/jd31-cretopolis-319-bc.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Recent moves[edit]

Please do not move pages (a) without explanation and (b) to titles that do not conform with WP:MOS. For the proper procedure to follow, see WP:RM. —Srnec (talk) 01:13, 6 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I can only concur with this: your repeatedly moving pages is becoming borderline to vandalism. Please discuss such things first to acquire consensus before making such contested moves. -- fdewaele, 7 March 2015, 14:20 CET
Are you sure you know what you are doing? Getting awfully close to a block for disruptive editing. Favonian (talk) 21:50, 18 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I think the block is long overdue. I do not see any constructive contributions.--Ymblanter (talk) 21:56, 18 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
