Redirect of Danielle Taylor[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Danielle Taylor, by Zeibura, another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Danielle Taylor is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Danielle Taylor, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Please note, this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Danielle Taylor itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. --Android Mouse Bot 2 14:59, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I am a contributor to wikipedia, every now and then. Well lately I've been updating the LSHS page (because it's my HS) and it keeps getting vandalized. Deleted deletion debate[edit]

Hey Allen. A while back you deleted Talk:M.R.M. Parrott, after its associated article's VfD. The talk page, however, was an archived deletion debate of an earlier VfD and is now a red link on Wikipedia:Archived delete debates/Jan to Apr 2004. This comes up as a result of this post at Wikipedia talk:Articles for deletion. We are attempting to restore all the red links in the archived logs. Can you restore the page? Note the archive message at the top of this page as an example, that has been tailored for such talk page archives. Thanks in advance.--Fuhghettaboutit 03:01, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fring[edit]

Hi, I notice that you, along with others, have deleted the page Fring stating that it is "advertising". Now the page is blocked and cannot be recreated until it is unlocked. I do not know what was written on the page before you, or others, deleted it so I cannot say that what was written wasn't advertising. However, the software itself is redfining the use of VoIP and is a product unlike any other that I have heard of. It is similar to MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ, Skype and many more (it even incorporates some of those applications into itself) but is a lot, lot more. One of the differences between Fring and those that I have mentioned is that it is completely free. There is no advertising in the software unlike MSN, Yahoo, Skype, ICQ etc so it in itself is not promoting anything that will make it money. If the applications that I've mentioned warrant having articles then surely Fring does considering that it is a completely new application unlike anything else available. Please consider reinstating this page so that it can be written about. Thx. Smaunsell 15:47, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

DYK question[edit]

In a comment you left on a DYK nom, you stated that the article was too short, and that 1500 characters is a preferred minimum. Are you aware of a tool for easily counting characters? I'm continuing to expand the article (there are a lot of sources to cull through!), and would like to keep track of when it gets big enough to meet the requirements. Thanks! I am sorry that you were offended by this edit asking for a sufficiently detailed citation that it is possible to find the article upon which you claim to base your accusations of criminal conduct. It is easy to understand that the embedded URLs showing the newspaper you said published the article has no stories by the alleged author could tend to cause embarrassment. Um... I'm flattered that this has been included, but have just realised that I didn't catch an error. Bird's debut was actually twelve years later, in 1946. I got that right in the article, but didn't notice when you posted your previous comment to my User talk page a few days ago. I'm rather embarrassed now! Though I suppose it was probably "eleven-and-a-bit years", since he was likely to have been on the Warwickshire staff until September 1934, and made his Worcestershire debut in early May 1946! DYK remarks[edit]

Thanks for the star on The Kandy-Kolored Tangerine-Flake Streamline Baby, Allen, but all I did on that one was to suggest a reduced-length hook. In fact, part of my suggestion was added to the original hook! I can comment it out myself if you want...  :)

Also, I'm just wondering whether my nomination for Jannie du Plessis will get in. It won't be any skin off my back if it doesn't, but it's been sitting in the "expired noms" for two days now, and no one other than me has commented on it. My comments were to note the length of the hook, and remind updaters that he in fact played in the 2007 Rugby World Cup, which makes the item timely. Also, I haven't see too many other South Africa-related hooks lately. — Dale Arnett 17:43, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was about to start an article about the band, but noticed that the article had been speedied under A7 by you in August. Googling for some online sources to back up sufficient notability turned up nothing spectacular, but maybe it's still enough to warrant an article now?

Henry Ashurst[edit]

The problem is that this sentence has three factual errors. I gave it the benefit of the doubt that Ashurt MAY have attended the constitutional convention. The convention was i 1910. It was presided over by George Hunt. Ashurst was not a delegate. Perhaps someone should check their facts before vandalizing edits. —Preceding unsigned comment added by WildGooseWest (talkcontribs) 13:16, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your comments make it clear that you are confusing the 1910 convention that initially wrote Arizona's state constitution with the 1911 convention that adopted the constitution. It should also be noted that your argument is ultimately not with me but with the publisher of the cited source. If you actually wish to check the New York Times article, the information is located in the first sentence of the second full paragraph in the rightmost column under the picture of Ashurst. If you are unhappy with this one source then a second source that provides the same information is: Johnston, Alva (December 25, 1937). "The Dean of Inconsistency". The Saturday Evening Post 210: 23,38-40. (Look at the last page of the article in the section entitled A Redheaded Rival.) --Allen3 talk 20:41, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Henry Ashurst[edit]

The fact remains that the Arizona Constitutional Convention was in 1910; George Hunt was the president of the convention; and Henry Ashurst was not a member. In 1911 the Congress deliberated the constitution. My only sources are the constitutional notes in the Arizona Revised Statutes, Annotated, 2001 and the Minutes of the Arizona Constitutional Convention, 1910, but they seem to agree and are accepted by the Arizona Secretary of State. Neither document is available to the public on the internet, although the annotated ARS is available by subscription to WestLaw. Your comment, “Please stop changing dates and actions so that they differ from the source cited at the end of the changed sentence,” illustrates the major criticism of Wikipedia: Facts are what ever public opinion thinks they are.WildGooseWest (talk) 23:30, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
