Re:Vandalism[edit]
Hello - you left a message on my talk page today about admin status and asking me to do something about User talk:203.199.213.130.
First, I'm not an admin, although some people are really trying to get me to accept a nom. ;-) As for the warning: I appreciate the notice, but I'm the last person who should receive such a message. If you don't mind, I'd like to take you through the process for warning users, how we try to discourage editors from making unconstructive edits.
The dates are very important when looking at warnings on talk pages. I left that final warning on August 18, more than two weeks ago, so it doesn't really count as a final warning for vandalism s/he did today or yesterday. We try very hard not to bite the newbies, and it's possible – indeed, likely – that the person who used that IP address two weeks ago isn't the same person who's using it today. It could be someone who wants to constructively edit the encyclopedia and/or someone who is visiting Wikipedia for the very first time.
That seems to be the case with this IP address, because between August 18 and today there have been many useful and constructive edits from whoever got it after we gave a final warning. Since it's been more than two weeks since s/he vandalized, and since useful edits have been made in the interim, I would start all over at the first "your test worked and has been reverted" warning with this user. He/she would need to receive and ignore the full gamut of warnings before I would submit this IP address to Administrator intervention against vandalism for blocking or suspension.
In the future, if you're concerned about a particular editor, you should first warn them using the appropriate template, assuming always that it's a test from a new user. If that user has received a final warning within the last 48 hours or so, report them to AIV using the format described there. Don't leave a message on any other page about it, because you don't know when that user will see that message – it could be days, and if it's a true case of vandalism we want to stop that user sooner, not later.

- No problem! If you hadn't left a message, I wouldn't have met you, so it's all good! :-) Don't worry about mistakes - you're not going to break the site, so be bold and jump right in. I remember when I started RC patrol I made a lot of mistakes - I mistook some good faith edits for vandalism, and I almost got my head torn off in a spat having something to do with how to present information concerning a sex scandal at an Australian school. I nearly gave up Wikipedia because I thought I wasn't wanted here. I'm glad I didn't give up, so if you ever feel like that please let me know so I can help you. This place can be one big Wikimess sometimes and we all have to help each other. Oh, and don't be shy about leaving a string of edits - it takes words and edits to tell the story, so use them if you need to. Personally, I'd much rather see links to appropriate pages or diffs than not, because I can more easily get to the crux of whatever issue I'm reading about. Regarding your concern, you'll notice lots of "interesting" "facts" in the answers there. See Wikipedia talk:Reference desk/Science#Physics Magazine Guy for background. - I read your interesting effort to quantify what was a very fictive, Looie596 called it counterfactual, question. I am not sure whether the area you have calculated represents collapse of all the quantum mechanical wave functions of the air molecules concerned. If so then do you assume the same about the skin molecules of the intruder? These assumptions make a big difference in the kind of force involved in the skin-air interaction. Turning to my (second) contribution to the question, it offers a model that is as credible as any other (which is not saying much). It happens that I like science fiction and the premises on which it operates which must be at least superficially believable. Everyone will know that my references to Wikididdlypedia, megafusion and polychromatic condensifiers are as fictional as the OP's references to Donald Duck et al. so it is clear that I am answering fiction with fiction. That may or may not be helpful to the OP who explicitly asked for suspension of disbelief. I don't think there is any disrespect or inappropriate point-making in what I posted so unless anyone is seriously upset by it, it can stay. Please bring this up in Ref. As far as I know Keely has not ben published in an ISBN book, though that is coming very soon. Keely has been in Peterborough and Cambridge newspapers many many times, how do these newspaper articles count towards "Notability status"? Also her title as "Peterborough Poet Laureate" is sponsered by the local City Council and has been running for 11 years. Would this be suitable accreditation?

You made multiple deletions in the section Examples while neglecting to take care of citations of your deleted material in the subsequent section Debating around a straw man. Since you ignore or have ceased reading the discussion on the Talk:Straw_man page, I draw your attention to statements there such as "Disjointing an article in this way is not responsible editing" and "Leaving orphaned and no-longer needed references, is as you say, editor negligence..." It is realy a pity that you erased my translation of LEONARDO's ITALIAN TEXT. (Again) In the main article on Leonardo da Vinci's "Vitruvian Man", there is only a translation of Marcus Pollio Vitruvius latin text, which has some remarkable differences with Leonardo's italian one.
