@Amaury: Amaury you seem to have problems with my edits, do you have any good reason for that? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.129.30.222 (talk) 14:40, 1 October 2017‎ (UTC)

Random question

Amaury, you know those "heritage" PSA's that Disney channel runs from time to time (e.g. there's one where Olivia Rodrigo talks about her Filipino heritage; one where Madison Hu talks about her Chinese heritage; another where Isaak Presley talks about his Cuban heritage; etc.)? – Do you know if either the Disney Channel website or YouTube has these?... "Ethnic background" seems to come up fairly often at the Disney Channel-related BLP's, so if people are going to add stuff, it would be better if we would just cite these Disney "heritage" PSA's as the source... TIA. --IJBall (contribstalk) 00:27, 2 October 2017 (UTC)

OK, cool – that one seems to have links to most of the others ones (just the Isaak Presley PSA isn't listed, but I think that one's "new" as I just saw it for the first time today...). Thanks! --IJBall (contribstalk) 00:30, 2 October 2017 (UTC)

Disney Channel series on Netflix

I remember making mention about the most recent Disney Channel series available on Netflix right now, by premiere date, is Bunk'd (at User talk:MPFitz1968/Archive 7#Raven's Home), and was wondering why Stuck in the Middle and Bizaardvark weren't, as well as Andi Mack more recently. Plus, none of their DCOM's since Invisible Sister (which premiered nearly two years ago) are there. I'm talking at least in the U.S., not sure about internationally. Well, the mystery is over, as I am finding out Disney is ending their contract with Netflix come 2019 and launching their own streaming service at that time [2] (not really new news, with this article being nearly two months old, but kinda new to me). While the article doesn't mention Amazon or iTunes, it's probable it may affect those streaming services, too (another article I found thru Google searching hinted at their ending their contract with Amazon, but went more into detail about Netflix than Amazon [3] - plus, this article is from Australia, so not sure about its effect regarding Amazon in the U.S.). This is certainly an eye-opener for me and others contemplating the idea of cutting the cord, or those who have already done so, but probably no surprise. MPFitz1968 (talk) 07:38, 3 October 2017 (UTC)

@MPFitz1968: Not 100% sure, but I don't think Amazon or iTunes will be affected since there you purchase the episodes. On Netflix, you pay $10 a month, I believe (?), and then get access to some shows. I've never used Netflix, though, so the majority of my statement is a guess. Amaury (talk | contribs) 07:47, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
(edit conflict) Yeah, about $10/month. On the purchasing episodes part, that could be a cloudy situation and depends on how Disney has their contract with Amazon and iTunes structured regarding consumer purchases vs. outright unlimited streaming like with Amazon Prime or Netflix. But Amazon does have a provision in their terms of service for digital content that even purchased episodes, movies, etc., could become unavailable if the content provider (i.e., Disney) decides to do that. I'll have to look at what ways to be able to hold on to any purchased content (like SITM, where I have bought every episode up to the current one) - some devices allow downloading, like with my phone, but not so on my TV or computer, as far as I can tell at the moment. User Mecj2

I thought this one was finally getting better. No such luck. I can't tell if this is WP:CIR, or deliberate trolling, by every single edit from this user will need to continue to be scrutinized, and likely reverted in most instances. I'd suggest going to a NB, but I don't think we'll get satisfaction from any of those except ANI, and the latter will require a time-sink in order to put together an exhaustively complete case of evidence (and even then it's probably 50/50 that it would be ignored)... --IJBall (contribstalk) 20:27, 5 October 2017 (UTC)

I was trying to remember whether that's a reliable source? At K.C. Undercover, this edit had me questioning it, and I made note that it wasn't reliable in my revert of that edit (user didn't cite the source anyway). Pinging Geraldo Perez and IJBall as well. MPFitz1968 (talk) 15:44, 9 October 2017 (UTC)

@MPFitz1968: I don't trust them unless they cite a source themselves. Otherwise, I'm not sure I'd use them independently as sourcing... --IJBall (contribstalk) 16:20, 9 October 2017 (UTC)

I've been noticing this over the last several weeks when going there, which will normally be when I'm attempting to verify content related to addition of episodes or air dates. Quite frustrating with these lengthy waits for anything to come up, and sometimes nothing comes up. Anyone else having difficulty accessing Zap2it, especially episode listings? MPFitz1968 (talk) 17:39, 13 October 2017 (UTC)

@MPFitz1968: I've noticed it as well. It went away for a while, but came back, like, last week. Amaury (talk | contribs) 19:52, 13 October 2017 (UTC)

Was she actually credited that way in the finale's end credits? If not, where did this credit come from?... Just curious. --IJBall (contribstalk) 15:49, 14 October 2017 (UTC)

@IJBall: Yes. The show's actual end credits. You might be aware that on TV, Nickelodeon uses generic end credits while a show is still running. A very long time ago, they removed shows' actual end credits, I guess to make more time for commercials or something. (I miss the actual end credits.) For example, watch a SpongeBob episode on TV and then one on the Nick site if one's unlocked. The difference is obvious. See Geraldo's talk page for more info. Just posted a message there. Amaury (talk | contribs) 15:59, 14 October 2017 (UTC)

When you moved did the split of Elena of Avalor episodes, you so very nicely removed the shorts section I took time adding WITH a source from the Disney Channel PR tweet. -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 19:08, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

It was intentional. Just because something passes WP:VERIFY doesn't mean it must be included. See WP:UNDUE. In addition, all the source says is that shorts aired, but there's nothing that supports the shorts' titles, and that's not the proper format, anyway. Amaury (talk | contribs) 19:21, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
Amaury, did you mean "Just because something passes WP:VERIFY doesn't mean..."? Just wondering. MPFitz1968 (talk) 19:24, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
@MPFitz1968: Fixed. Amaury (talk | contribs) 19:27, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
Yes, because it proves its existence from a verified source, whether it's from Twitter or not. And you haven't bothered to individually source each season 2 episode, yet they are still there. Just giving a cite at the "title" part doesn't constitute a source, it's just as lazy as you probably think of my contribution. -- Anythingspossibleforapossible (talk) 20:43, 17 October 2017 (UTC)
It proves its existence, but it doesn't automatically merit inclusion just it because it passes WP:VERIFY. See again WP:UNDUE. As for the season two episodes, they're all sourced with the column references. They don't need to be individually sourced. On the other hand, nowhere in that tweet are the titles of those shorts mentioned. Amaury (talk | contribs) 20:57, 17 October 2017 (UTC)

Hey, Amaury – has anyone followed up to look for more sourcing for Legendary Dudas? I kind of forgot about this one once it was off my watchlist... But I'm wondering if there was ever an official cancellation notice? Or any explanation as to why it wasn't picked up for more episodes? Or really any coverage of it at all after it premiered/aired!... Do you know anything? (TIA.) --IJBall (contribstalk) 23:43, 19 October 2017 (UTC)

@IJBall: Nada. Even Premiere Date has "not yet renewed": [5]. Amaury (talk | contribs) 23:58, 19 October 2017 (UTC)

Ten: Murder Island

So, I just watched Ten: Murder Island, and I noticed that in the TV broadcast (which is the version I watched since no better one has been posted, but I may but it on iTunes later since it's only $5), the end credits are crammed into the bottom quarter of the screen at the beginning of the movie. I've never seen that before, not at the beginning anyway. I created a draft at Draft:Ten: Murder Island, I'll try to write a proper plot summary later. There's another strange thing – multiple sources claim it was executive produced by China Anne McClain and Chris Robert, but I can only see the former credited in the actual movie. The movie's credits take precedence in this case, don't they? (Also pinging Geraldo Perez, IJBall, and MPFitz1968.) nyuszika7h (talk) 15:13, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

@Nyuszika7H: I missed this one when it originally aired on Lifetime. However, I notice that this, Sea Change and Drink, Slay, Love (the latter of which I did see when it originally aired...), are currently available via Lifetime's app. I'm not promising anything, but I'll try and take a look at it if/when I get a chance... --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:54, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
@IJBall: Well, Ten: Murder Island expires in a few hours, but I could email you a link. nyuszika7h (talk) 19:56, 21 October 2017 (UTC)
@Nyuszika7H: As a sanity check IMDb is usually pretty close for credits. Sometimes people worked on a movie don't get a credit for whatever reason, likely because they had too minor a contribution to matter much. If we have a reliable source that support that and doesn't conflict with the in-movie credits we can list it and tag it non-credited and give the reference for support. Judgement call whether or not it matters enough to list. Geraldo Perez (talk) 21:58, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

It might not say they have left but their names were left out for a reason. As been reported on other sites that aren't accepted on Wikipedia, the series let them go and casted 3 (super young) new characters. The other two series listed on the article have every current series regular listed but the Bunk'd section specifically left those 3 off which confirms the reports that they are departing.Joshie (New Horizons Await You) 07:49, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

Their names being left out doesn't confirm anything. There have been no official announcements stating whether cast members are leaving or not. Implying that there have been is WP:OR. Amaury (talk | contribs) 07:52, 24 October 2017 (UTC)

Amaury – just giving you a head's up about this show, in case you want to keep an eye on it. It premieres tonight on Nicktoons. --IJBall (contribstalk) 19:53, 25 October 2017 (UTC)

@IJBall: I can keep an eye on it for vandalism, but I won't be able to really add anything—other than ratings if they make the top 150—as we don't get Nicktoons with the Charter package we have. Amaury (talk | contribs) 19:55, 25 October 2017 (UTC)

I noticed your revert here, and your edit summary seemed to indicate that Bender made only one episode appearance in Fuller House. Actually, I have noted her in at least three, during the first nine episodes of season three, which at this point would be a toss-up but I'll stick with not including her in recurring until she appears in later episodes (the rest of season three is slated to come out in December). On another note, I am aware guest stars have not been listed in the show's LoE article, though that same IP tried to add Bender for one episode [6]. I can go either way regarding adding, or not adding, the guest stars from all the episodes thus far, but as far as that IP edit is concerned, I reverted it - seemed like an undue weight issue the way it was presented. See: Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Orchomen for today. --IJBall (contribstalk) 04:20, 30 October 2017 (UTC)

@IJBall: Excuse my language, but I fucking knew it! LOL! @Sro23: When did you first notice them? I first noticed them here which IJBall later expressed concern to me over email when I raised the grammar edits here: User talk:IJBall/Archive 12#Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn. At first, I thought nothing of it, but then I started having my own suspicions, and IJBall was the reverse and started backing off on his for the time being. They were making edits to a lot of articles we weren't watching and weren't undoing edits, so nothing raised alarms. Glad you were on top of this, though. Amaury (talk | contribs) 04:57, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
On Ed Jones (racing driver). Apparently it's impossible for him not to follow you around every time. Sro23 (talk) 05:02, 30 October 2017 (UTC)

So, is Paul still being credited? Or have episodes of Bizaardvark now aired in which he is no longer credited?... TIA. --IJBall (contribstalk) 21:19, 30 October 2017 (UTC)

@IJBall: Check out the message I left you a while ago on your talk page. You might have missed it. The last episode, "Halloweenvark: Part Boo!", had Jake Paul credited and in the episode. Also, yes, Viking Guy is only in season two and has appeared five times so far. Amaury (talk | contribs) 23:02, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
