Your message on the village pump[edit]

Did you get my reply to your message on the village pump about the Wikipedia database? I think I answered your questions, but I'm not too sure about some of the answers. My reply can now be found at this archive of the village pump. There is also this archived help desk thread dealing with the same question. Good luck with your research. Wow! Yeah, your advice at the pump convinced me that, for my project, I could live with "good enough". I was willing to lose the links caused by renames to simplify the work. Thanks a ton for your answer.
