Blood values[edit]

Thanks for contributing to blood values! However, since these values are likely to be used clinically by many people, it is extra important to give the source here. Inverness' Population Figures and Boundaries[edit]

Following your recent edit of the Inverness article, I'm looking to discuss these matters with you. Firstly, I think "Greater Inverness" would likely include more than simply the various settlements to the east of Inverness (of which I think it would certainly be difficult to claim that Westhill was an autonomous and separate entity in the form of a village). Perhaps what is currently term "Inverness" could be described as "Central Inverness", what is currently "Greater Inverness" could simply be "Inverness" and what we would call "Greater Inverness" should include the population of commuting villages, such as Kessock etc. Many thanks! Scottish Localities and Settlements[edit]

Hello. I know it's been many months since I'd asked the question, but for some reason just got back around to seeing the answer you left to my question on the List of towns and cities in Scotland by population talk page. Anyway, "settlement" is fairly easy to understand and it's basically an urban area/conurbation measurement. I think I also understand the concept of "locality," too, but the problem is that the definition on the page still confuses and might need to be corrected. What may need to be removed is the reference to "contained within the limits of a particular city, town or village." This sentence continues to give the impression that there are administrative cities, towns and villages, whereas the only administration below the council area level of administration are community council area, and these localities definitely can cross those boundaries. I'd rewrite that sentence using some of the language on the weppage you linked me to. Also, I'd even make the definition of settlements clearer by making it clear that they are a collection of "localities" (where they abut one another) instead of using the word "settlement" again (i.e. "some of which are composed of more than one settlement." would go to "some of which are composed of more than one locality."). Anyway, main thing is to remove all use of the word "limits/city limits" as unless we're talking about council areas or community council areas, have real no administrative relevance, here. --Criticalthinker (talk) 09:26, 6 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
