AfD nomination of Nondance Records[edit]

An editor has nominated Nondance Records, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nondance Records and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 22:44, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:ND566100096317.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading Image:ND566100096317.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 23:15, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Es1.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:15, 28 January 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 23:15, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding edits to Deer Tick[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Deer Tick do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bmyspace\.com' (link(s): http://www.myspace.com/deertick) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! SquelchBot (talk) 02:13, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

January 2008[edit]

Hi, the recent edit you made to Nondance Records has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thanks. sbfw | talk 04:58, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The recent edit you made to Ether Switch constitutes vandalism, and has been reverted. Please do not continue to vandalize pages; use the sandbox for testing. Thanks. sbfw | talk 04:58, 29 January 2008 (UTC))[reply]

You blanked those pages in an apparent attempt to delete them. That is not necessary; an admin will delete them soon enough. And don't feel sorry about creating them. You did a good job (better than most newcomers) in your wording and formatting. What you didn't know is that Wikipedia has its rules about what topics are worth including in the encyclopedia - lots of rules that take quite a while to learn. There isn't a single editor who hasn't had something he wrote deleted by other editors. Please continue to contribute to the encyclopedia. Sbowers3 (talk) 21:31, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit to Tick[edit]

Hi. I have replaced the link to the disambiguation page that you deleted and replaced by Deer Tick. You can keep everybody happy by putting Deer Tick onto the disambiguation page. --Old Moonraker (talk) 08:01, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

(While I was adding my note above I saw this one and thought I'd give you a little more explanation.) In your edit you attempted to add some useful information but you did it in the wrong place and thereby unintentionally deleted some other useful information. The right place to add your information is at Tick (disambiguation). If you have any questions, feel free to ask me or User:Old Moonraker or at WP:Help desk. Redirect of Etherswitch[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Etherswitch, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Etherswitch is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Etherswitch, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
