— Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.49.107.63 (talk) 02:12, 2 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you undo the wikipedia Thalía's discography?[edit]

Hola[edit]

--Watquaza (talk) 03:05, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please, stop quoting outdated 51 million figure for Thriller (album)[edit]

Please stop quoting old/outdated 51 million figure reported by Guinness World Records. In later editions of Guinness book of world records it was reported that Thriller sold over 55 million copies (see book editions from 2007 or 2008)... Anyway, that 51/55 million figure is wrong/outdated. Check Thriller certification dates & figures in numerous countries...

Total available certified copies: 42.3 million US: 29 million, UK: 3.3 million, GER: 1.5 million, FRA: 1 million, CAN: 2 million, AUS: 1,12 million, MEX: 1.6 million, NLD: 800,000, ITA: 100,000, SWE: 400,000, ARG: 500,000, SWI: 300,000, AUT: 400,000, FIN: 119,061, NZ: 180,000, IFPI HKG: 15,000

So, for example in UK Thriller is 11×P (3,3 million) but actual official figure is 1 million higher, see HERE and that is only for retail sales in the UK. Same goes for France, certification is for 1 million and actual sales of all Thriller editions is close to 3 million, Japan no reported certification here but with over 2.5 million reported sales, In Canada Thriller was at 2.4 million in 1986, was certified for 2 million in 1984, but in 2010 it was over 3 million, in Italy Thriller sold over 1.3 million so over 1.2 more than reported 100k here for Thriller 25th anniversary edition, in Spain more than 800k not reported here, Belgium over 500k not reported here, Brasil over 2 million not reported here, Chile over 400k not reported here, etc... I have many privately collected (mostly official) documents for more than 40 countries regarding Thriller sales over the years but due copyright issues and also because No original research I can't / won't post it here but it's easy to prove that the 51 million figure is way too low. Thriller's actual sales is around 65-70 million and it can be proven with original research but wikipedia policy is Verifiability, not truth. There are hundreds of reliable sources with 104 or 110 million figures reported for Thriller but to STOP edit war my suggestion is to leave only 65 million figure in the article which is also closest to the truth! Z.K. HAL (talk) 04:41, 11 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reply to your warning and your biased behavior! (Thriller (album))[edit]

Pushing the figure of 51 million for the sale of the album Thriller you showed your bias. With simple summing of Thriller's certifications and all other known sales published by the OFFICIAL musical organizations in many countries you would realize that Thriller sold far more than 51 million copies, a figure published by Guinness way before Thriller 25 and Jackson's death. In my previous post I mentioned some of the official sales figures uncovered by certifications (I gave you a source for UK and I have the same for 40+ countries) to simply show you that 51 million figure is ridiculous same as 110 million. Yesterday I made a proposal for deleting 110 million and 51 million figures and to leave in the article only a figure of 65 million which is closest to the truth, but unfortunately you are not interested in the truth. I didn't started edit war (with clear explanation I made a total of 4 edits of Thriller's article), and you act like this is your private site which is contrary to the rules of Wikipedia. After your warning (?!) that I may be blocked from editing (even though I didn't break any rules) I will not go into further discussion/edits since I don't have the time to waste on things like this. Nevertheless, I hope that your behavior will be, sooner or later, condemned by other experienced, benevolent and unbiased editors. I don't know what you have against Michael Jackson, but I saw on another article that you don't have a problem with ridiculous sales figures from other artists, and here you go so far to push old 51 million figure just to reduce Jackson's success. Clear double standards! Z.K. HAL (talk) 03:52, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Re[edit]

You didn't presented both realities, you only presented one side with outdated 51 million figure which is clearly wrong as 110 million figure, and as I said before, another article CLEARLY showed that this rule you use only for Michael Jackson!?!? FYI, some Thriller certifications around the world are older than 2 decades but fortunately for years certain organizations collect over-the-counter sales in almost every major market so we do know how many copies Thriller sold in last 10+ years on retail sales. To get over-the-counter sale figures in many countries you need access - to subscribe (not free) to certain services and same goes for access to some databases with older figures. Due to the nature of my work I have access to many data (old and new). You can insult me, you can insinuate that I am making up figures, I really don't care, if you will study this subject at the analytical level you will find out the truth. At the end of day, figures I posted could be independently verified. I posted you a link for UK where you can find official data published by The Official Charts Company and I could do the same for many other countries but it's clearly a waste of time. Z.K. Ray of Light[edit]

--Watquaza (talk) 00:17, 8 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

About the certifications of Paulina Rubio.[edit]

The album Brava! de Paulina has been certified Gold+latinum in Colombia and I put the official twitter of the Mixup (it's like the RIAA in Colombia). Also,I put reliable sources of the Gold certifications in Mexico and USA. The Thalia's page on wikipedia is complete in links like this,we don't have links like RIAA,to countries like Colombia.See Thalía's wikipedia page (discography).--88marcus (talk) 05:23, 3 March 2013 (UTC) (Or are you a hater of Paulina?)[reply]

FAC comment[edit]

Hi. Would you care to comment at my nomination here for the article Song of Innocence? A support, oppose, or any other comment would be appreciated. If not, no need to reply to this. Dan56 (talk) 19:34, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've had it brought up before at this FAC for Rhythm Killers, and by other editors (this for example by User:GoingBatty, who often reviews FACs too and have asked to comment at my previous FACs). The only thing the Mendez source offered was that the album incorporated "psychedelic pop from the 1960s West Coast music scene"; one of the other reviewers for Song of Innocence questioned it, so I replaced it, since it wasn't excluding anything that pertinent. If you can bring up why Mendez or the publisher is reliable on the topic and not self-published, I'll gladly restore the revision before this. Dan56 (talk) 03:30, 3 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please Stop making edit wars[edit]

Stop being heavily concerned about Mariah Carey and her sales figures, MusicBox outsold the 30 million record. and AS you are a Madonna fan and there is always a rivalry between the fans of BOTH Divas, stay concerned with your Diva's discography page and stop editing from an anti-fan point of view by lowering the sales. Fidel 19:39, 7 April 2013 (UTC)

Irregularidades[edit]

--Watquaza (talk) 03:22, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Madonna Legacy[edit]

"She became the first viral Master of Pop on history, years before the Internet was massively used." Madonna was everywhere; in the almighty music television channels, 'radio formulas', magazine covers and even in bookshops. A pop dialectic, never seen since The Beatles's reign, which allowed her to keep on the edge of tendency and commerciality" -La traducción a mi parecer está bien, solo ciertos detalles de expresividad había que arreglar. --Watquaza (talk) 04:40, 15 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

There is no reason whatsoever for this list to be removed as over 50 artists have credited Beyoncé as an influence at some point of their career.
