I am not trying to promote anything, rather I am just adding a topic to Wikipedia in which I inform people about several online freelance marketplace just to help beginners. Aqsa Shabbir (talk) 12:14, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Contested deletion[edit]

This page is not unambiguously promotional, because I am telling and informing people about several platforms at which beginners can earn and cash their skills. I am not promoting anything as there are about 5 platforms in it which are well known and doing good in freelancing race. Review it thoroughly and you'll understand my point. Thanks

Just reading your comment here makes it clear your intent is promotional, even if you didn't think of it that way. We aren't here to tell readers how to make money or to send them to places that will help them do that. It's an encyclopedia meant to inform people about things, not to give advice or guidance. References and links are for the purpose of allowing readers to verify the information in an article and to provide them with additional informative resources. Objectivity is key. Largoplazo (talk) 21:30, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That is what I was doing. I was giving references of several journals and articles published on google scholar. My intention was pure and to help people. Everything is present in the Freelancer article but not the info or platforms which support freelancing. Aqsa Shabbir (talk) 16:33, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I was trying to edit this page and trying to make it more professional and not promotional but you blocked me and didn't gave me a chance to correct my mistake. Aqsa Shabbir (talk) 13:21, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
One of the many things which Wikipedia is not, is a host for any kind of original research or a directory of websites, vendors, etc.. Even if your intention was not to promote any websites, you created an article which exemplifies things for which there is no place in Wikipedia, no matter how well written it might have become. --Orange Mike | Talk 19:03, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

First, your user page is to tell us about your activities on Wikipedia, not to write about anything else, particularly SEO. Your article does not appear to be an attempt to write an encyclopaedia article, it is just a WP:How to. I see you have attempted to make constructive edits elsewhere, so I'll unblock you for now. Incidentally, don't Americanise spelling. "Centre" isn't a mistake, it's standard English spelling outside North America, similarly, colour, honour, practice (noun) etc Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:37, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for my mistake, I didn't knew that, I'll try to correct it. Kindly give me another chance and I'll be thankful to you.
I'll keep these things in mind in future. Please unblock my account. Aqsa Shabbir (talk) 15:50, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much sir for understanding my point. I'll do more research about the topic and will try to learn more about Wikipedia.
Thanks again. Aqsa Shabbir (talk) 15:52, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello sir,
Can you please review my new draft article for me before I publish it. As I have been blocked earlier and I don't want to take any chance. I aim to contribute positively and wish to avoid any issues. Your feedback on neutrality, sourcing, and formatting would be invaluable. Can I share the draft with you for review? Aqsa Shabbir (talk) 17:10, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for informing me. I'll try to be objective and neutral in my other contributions next time. Aqsa Shabbir (talk) 17:29, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate content[edit]

The content you added to Freelancer “These platforms provide global opportunities for freelancers and clients, enriching professional portfolios with diverse experiences while addressing the demands of an evolving job market.” was totally inappropriate and has no place in an encyclopaedia please STOP. Theroadislong (talk) 17:27, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'll try to be more careful next time. Thanks Aqsa Shabbir (talk) 17:30, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
My advice is that you completely abandon, at least for now, editing about freelancing until you have a better handle on content and sourcing policies. 331dot (talk) 11:23, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
