Hi. Just a friendly reminder about user page categorization.

I've noticed a draft page of yours linked above is appearing in regular content categories. See for example Category:Canada-related lists under P. This is discouraged. See WP:DRAFTNOCAT and WP:USERNOCAT for additional information.

Usually it's avoided by placing a leading colon at the beginning of each category declaration like so:

People banned from entering

or, by bracketing them with Template:Draft categories like this:

Either method will disable the category function. Thank you. Cheers! --DB1729talk 17:40, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I just went ahead and took care of it myself. (I'm used to giving to above speech when people cat their user pages) The categories will automatically enable when the page is moved to mainspace. Just remember to remove the suppression code at that point as it will no longer serve function. Happy editing! DB1729talk 17:46, 5 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding the "American libertarians" category to this article. It is redundant with the categories "Libertarian Party members of the United States House of Representatives", "Libertarian Party (United States) officeholders", and "Michigan Libertarians". – Muboshgu (talk) 15:59, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any practical difference between these? Why not follow the steps at Wikipedia:Moving a page#How to move a category? DatGuyTalkContribs 17:09, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Oh I didn't see the steps. Thank you for letting me know. Arobinson1987 (talk) 17:43, 10 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to List of notable people banned from entering the United States, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 21:42, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am just organizing this and am not taking out any important content. Arobinson1987 (talk) 21:46, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, an article you recently created List of people banned from entering China, is not ready as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage with citations from reliable and independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. I've moved your article to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's WP:GNG guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. M.Ashraf333 (talk) 13:37, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, as I meant to write it as a draft. Appreciate you doing that. Arobinson1987 (talk) 13:57, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Placido film festival.jpg. However, it is currently missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Vladlen Manilov / 14:31, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 1996 in Brazil, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jabaquara. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Control copyright icon Hello Arobinson1987! Your additions to Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

 • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
 • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
 • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
 • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
 • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 22:48, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Are you specifically talking about the photo that I uploaded? Arobinson1987 (talk) 22:52, 4 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Okay so I added to the article with a source from the AP (via wayback machine), as well as write everything in my own words or paraphrased what the article had mentioned. Please let me know if there are any issues. Thanks. Arobinson1987 (talk) 13:05, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
