I have no problem with your request and am willing to action it, but why remove just "logo" ? It is a logo. Just kinda confused that's all. Cheers, - FlightTime (open channel) 15:06, 19 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@FlightTime: Hey! I guess I don't have a specific reason exactly besides seeing that it is normal looking at other football team logos to not include the word "logo". So like File:Arsenal FC.svg, File:Seattle Sounders FC.svg etc. but some teams like Manchester United use the word "badge" which I think is the more correct term. So I guess I would just ask to change it to "File:NorthEast United FC badge.png". We don't need "official". Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 16:24, 19 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello ArsenalFan700. Shortly after you created Salvatore Esposito (footballer, born 2001) User:UncleTupelo1 created Sal Esposito about the same person with virtual identical content. Maybe you two can agree under wich title the article should remain and turn the other title into a redirect. I would suggest Sal Esposito to remain the article but would leave it to you experts to sort this out. I inform UncleTupelo1 accordingly. --Proofreader (talk) 12:40, 20 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

List of Indian football champions

This one creating dilemma. Though I've updated it recently. But I think it creating confusion among readers and editors. First I think we can't place the name of a ISL champion as national champion who does not play the continental champions league and again we can't place a name of a club which has not won the championship but playing the champions league. Again, its parallel league that is I-legaue playing the at the continental level but the ISL champion does not get a direct slot. I think this three year we must write all the three club name (I-League, ISL champion and premier) until 2023, when there will be promotion relegation be started between ISL and I-League or kind of merge will take place, then again we can keep a single champion.

Secondly, it will be according to reliability, because unlike I-league or National league the ISL champion or premier are not called as the national champion.

The lead should be:-

The Indian football champions are the winners of the highest league in Indian football system. Currently, two parallel league system exists, namely Indian Super League and the I-League. The ISL regular season premier represents India in the AFC Champions League group stage, and the I-League champion represents India in the AFC Cup group stage.
Since 2007–08, the I-League champions were considered the national champions until 2018–19 season. Before the 2007–08 season, the league was known as National Football League (NFL) since its inception in the 1996–97 season; the champions of the NFL were considered as the national champions.

Speedy deletion declined

I have declined this speedy deletion request. You did not specify a valid speedy deletion criterion (see WP:CSD). Previous deletion of a talk page is not, in itself, a reason to delete that talk page again. Talk pages need not meet either WP:NFOOTY or WP:GNG, and lack of notability is not one of any existing speedy deletion criteria (see WP:NOTCSD no. 5). Please also note that talk pages are rarely deleted unless the matching article is itself deleted. Also, the {{db-reason}} template isn't intended for made-up reasons - if you can fond a valid criterion at WP:CSD, there will be a specific template for it; and if none of the criteria fit, the page isn't eligible for speedy deletion. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 19:30, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, just wanted to clarify, I did mean to just nominate the talk page for deletion, not sure how that happened but I did mean to do it for the actual page. Should I just take it to AfD? --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 22:58, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
If you want an article to be speedy deleted you need to tag the article itself. Read through the G criteria and the A criteria (none of the others can possibly apply), choose the criterion that best matches the situation, and use one of the tags shown immediately after the description of the criterion. For example, a page that is unquestionably patent nonsense may be tagged {{Db-g1}} or {{Db-nonsense}}. If a criterion is doubtful, it doesn't apply because CSD is for uncontroversial cases. If you can't find any applicable criteria, your only route is WP:AFD. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 23:31, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi dear, I have noticed somebody deleting the specific required section ( Honours & Achievements ) for the Indian national football team today. If possible can you help wikipedia by creating & enlarging this section. Because my edits were terminated but this section is highly needed where India's all kind of Honours (major and minor tournaments like Mardeka, Hero Intercontinental cup, Colombo cup etc) are highly needed. If possible please please cooperate and help this page. Thank you so much. :) Yogabrata (talk) 17:09, 9 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The club thing

Hi...check this, this clears a lot of things now. ATK Mohun Bagan Pvt. Ltd. is a true Mohun Bagan club, where Sanjeev Goenka holds 68% Share, Mohun Bagan Society (MBAC) holds 19.998% Share, Utsav Parekh holds 8%, Sourav Ganguly holds 4%, and Swapan Sadhan Bose(Tutu Bose) holds 0.002% Share. since...Mohun Bagan Society (MBAC) has to hold a minimum 76% share of Mohun Bagan F.C. India Pvt. Ltd. (Minimum 15.2% Share of newly formed ATK Mohun Bagan Private Limited). If any individual tries to acquire more than 24% share of MBFC India Pvt. Ltd. then the Merger will be terminated. Interesting thing is that, the company name of club "bla bla pvt. ltd." are subject to change with every new sponsors...like if Goenka sell shares tomrow to any other company than there will be new 'pvt. ltd'. This actually clears the thing now that, it's just same club, its a five year contract which is subjected to termination under failure of any clause. I don't see any reason why a new page needed to be there. Let's see what they say in coming days. And, that user became total hostile, being a East Bengal fan he is just doing whatever coming to his mind to all these articles. His real attitude and motive is now open and last few things really irritated me, I used to cooperate or suggest whcih can be best to all these article in which he is working on but his attitute really disappointed me. updates

i had to fix some more "head coaches" to be as you say...btw still on isl and i league maps old kolkata team names, locked so users must correct!

Notice

The article ATK Mohun Bagan FC has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This is not a new Club. This is a merger of two clubs leading to renaming of Mohun Bagan. It has already been confirmed that this club will participate in 2021 AFC Cup and AFC Club Competitions Entry Manual Point No. 12 has clearly set down conditions which a club must fulfill to participate in AFC Competions. A new club will thus not be eligible for the same as they do not fulfill those criteria. But Mohun Bagan will be taking part in 2021 AFC Cup as has been officially announced based on winning the 2019-20 I-League. So this is not a new club and thus I suggest it to be deleted and any further edits about the club be done on the original Mohun Bagan page.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Something is wrong.....

Hi sir,I came to know that you are one of the most contributing person in Indian football related articles. So it came to my notice that at the table of teams with points on article-2020–21 I-League,it is mentioned that the topmost team will qualify for ISL. I suspect it as a wrong info. Being a IP user,I didn't revert it. So can you check that it is genuine or not? I'll be obliged. P.S. I'm asking for your help as I'm inexperienced. Please check that article's table.122.177.47.70 (talk) 05:26, 21 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. IMO, we should ask an admin (especially who contributes to sports like Lee) to close the discussion. otherwise it won't stop. Every next day, a new meatpuppet account will come up, and by the time you complete reply him/her, another will come. So, it will be endless. Since the MB related discussion started, we have 9+ meatpuppet and canvass accounts like Ztruc, Aarul Chandekar, Figuto, NijerDomeISL, IndianFootball1996, Darkarmy241998, M Kariyappa, FootyMessi9147, PratyushDas1999. unnecessary personal attack and harassment. ❯❯❯   S A H A 18:26, 17 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
