Art Green, The Hairy Who and Chicago Imagists

Hi Artemis-Arethusa, my research reveals that The Hairy Who was a Chicago group in the 1960s that put on a few shows. After Art Green left Chicago and the group, the Chicago Imagists was formed by remaining members of The Hairy Who and some new members. I will update the Chicago Imagists article to reflect this. You are quite welcome. Someone deleted it, I presuem, but the deletion log entry is missing, so i have no idea who or for what reason. no user page

I just saw your post at WP:VPA. To stop people from posting to your User page by accident, you can do two things:

1. Modify your signature under "my preferences" (upper right of the page). Add [[User talk:Artemis-Arethusa|Artemis-Arethusa]] to the signature box and click the "Raw Signature" box. That way anyone that clicks on your username on any page that you have signed is automatically directed to your talk page.
2. Create your user page as a redirect to your talk page. The only drawback of this is that then your user page does technically exist.

Don't put copyright infringement into Wikipedia

As you did in this edit to Holling_C._Holling. The paragraph beginning: "Holling graduated from the" is a direct copy from the author bio already listed at the bottom of the article. That bio has a clear statement of copyright at the bottom. That was clearly illegal. Did you think no-one would notice? Don't do that. It seems to me that aesthetics usually don't win out, especially when up against the marketplace, but actually this is a bit more than that. I have 1,500 (more or less) articles on my watchlist and I feel honor bound (another trait that has trouble with the marketplace) to check all edits done by annon users or those by red links. I notice you were populating History of fashion with military uniform articles. Why is this? Don't they already fall into subcategories such as Category:United States Army Uniforms etc. etc.? and By the Way, I thought you were a new editor because you don't have a user page. Interesting. I most certainly am not. I'm not sure I've used the "revert" function even once in the eight years I have been a Wikipedia editor, nor did I undo anyone's edits. What I did do was add a line about the controversial nature of the publisher mentioned to its page, as well as a note that its primary methodology is copying and binding Wikipedia articles, which is simple fact and was already cited in the references given.Artemis-Arethusa (talk) 21:50, 25 April 2013 (UTC)
