Concerning your contribution, Adventure Express, a page move cannot be done by simply copying and pasting the contents of a page into a new location, as such a process does not transfer the page's edit history and therefore violates the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC-BY-SA) license by denying attribution to editors who worked on Adventure Express (Kings Island). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from Adventure Express (Kings Island). As a violation of the page move process, Adventure Express needs to be temporarily deleted under the speedy deletion criteria so that Adventure Express (Kings Island) may be properly moved in a way that will preserve its edit history. Adventure Express has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message. If not, please refrain from editing either Adventure Express (Kings Island) or Adventure Express until the latter has been deleted according to Wikipedia's speedy criterion G6 (non-controversial housekeeping).

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by visiting the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Cedar Point

I haven't had a lot of time to really dig into Cedar Point's article, but I think you've made a lot of helpful changes to it so far (as well as a large number of other amusement park and roller coaster articles). Thanks for all your hard work. If I can come up with any suggestions, I'll be sure to let you know. GoneIn60 (talk) 15:58, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Edits to Kings Island

ya, probably right. if you look at the time stamps, the edits are usually 5-10 min apart. I always found it is a good idea to save my work just so I don't loose data.Nickvet419 (talk) 21:15, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

Kings Island

The extra column looks a little cluttered at first, I agree. After giving it a second (and third) chance, I think it may be useful enough to keep. Perhaps we should leave it for now and see if other editors make any complaints/changes before coming to a final decision. GoneIn60 (talk) 03:42, 20 January 2012 (UTC)

Hello, Astros4477, and thank you for your contributions!

Some text in an article that you worked on List of rides at Canada's Wonderland, appears to be directly copied from another Wikipedia article, List of rides at Canada's Wonderland. Please take a minute to double-check that you've properly attributed the source text in your edit summary.

It's entirely possible that this bot made a mistake, so please feel free to remove this notice and the tag it placed on List of rides at Canada's Wonderland at any time. CorenSearchBot (talk) 22:51, 29 January 2012 (UTC)

Hopkins Rides

I can use help with a listing of Hopkins Rides that I am working on. Updating park names, wiki links, and finding the names of all the flumes are a few things that would be helpful.

The page is a work in progress. I will be adding the River Rapids Rides next.

If you know anyone else who can help, please post on their page.JlACEer (talk) 19:17, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi,

I've reviewed your nomination and made some comments at Talk:Kings Island/GA1. It's most fundamental problem is that it contains too many lists, which are against the criteria of the good article criteria. Also, it has 8 dead links and {{cn}} tags. I doubt that there is time to fix the article in the seven days that it will be on hold, but certainly you can try. Good luck! MathewTownsend (talk) 16:41, 17 February 2012 (UTC)

Serial Thriller

I don't think the photo you uploaded from Flickr is of Serial Thriller (now Thunderhawk) when it was at Geauga Lake. The photstream of that user doesn't have any pictures from Geauga Lake at all and it's tagged with "sixflags" and "texas". From what I can find, this is a picture of Serial Thriller at Astroworld. http://www.themeparkreview.com/photos/sfaw/thriller.htm --JonRidinger (talk) 04:22, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

I just looked at the photo stream it came from and your right, it's from AstroWorld. I saw the Son of Beast and Tomb Raider photos of Kings Island so I assumed the Serial Thriller photo was of Geauga Lake. Ill just add the Serial Thriller photo of AstroWorld to what it is now at La Ronde. --Astros4477 (talk) 04:32, 19 February 2012 (UTC)

Re: Millennium Force

The article seems well-referenced, but it doesn't feel like there's a lot of information in the article to me. I'd look through Behemoth (roller coaster) to see what's missing from here. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 12:38, 17 March 2012 (UTC)

Looks a lot better on a surface read now; worth going for GA status I think, so go ahead and nom it. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 20:17, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

B&M 2013

Its been literally confirmed that its a Wing coaster!!!

http://www.screamscape.com/html/bm_track_2.htm

The code reads: WI-E00-TE106

WI stands for Wing rider...just like how MC stands for Mega Coaster...--Dom497 (talk) 01:47, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

My bad, I saw that on Screamscape but I didn't know there was proof. I didn't know that stood for Wing coaster, but it's not necessarily for 2013. Obviously most people would agree it'll be for 2013 but there's no proof for that. I'll undo my revision, the code doesn't really make sense though because WI doesn't really stand for Wing Rider or Wing Coaster.--Astros4477 (talk) 02:41, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
I know I have no evidence, but for Raptor, Wild Eagle, The Swarm, and X-Flight all the codes had WI on it....but it does stand for "Wing". :-P --Dom497 (talk) 20:28, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
Even though there are those labels, citing that photo at Screamscape and stating there is a B&M Wing Coaster coming in 2013 would be in violation of the original research policy (in particular the section on Synthesis of published material that advances a position). Themeparkgc  Talk  01:03, 29 March 2012 (UTC)

Rose bowl term

I couldn't find any reference to "rose bowl" describing a helix on a coaster outside of articles talking about the Son of Beast. There were a few in blogs about other coasters, but nothing reliable. How do we know that's a common term and not one that was made up to describe SOB? If no solid reference exists, we should probably just call it a helix. GoneIn60 (talk) 02:17, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

I removed rose bowl. I also removed cone yesterday because I have never even heard that term on a coaster before.--Astros4477 (talk) 08:14, 2 April 2012 (UTC)

Types of roller coasters

We all agree that there are "classifications" of roller coasters: hyper, giga, and strata. In the roller coaster article, these are defined by height or drop. Although Superman's drop is not over 400 feet, the height of the roller coaster is. Therefore by definition, it is a strata coaster even if it's not officially called one. A consensus is needed if you want it removed, because the definition of what a strata coaster is would have to change first. Also keep in mind that the B&M and Morgan coasters are listed in the giga chart, though they too are not officially called giga coasters. GoneIn60 (talk) 09:44, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

After further review, I overlooked the fact that Superman does not complete a full circuit and removed it from the chart. GoneIn60 (talk) 10:12, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
I agree with that. The reason I don't think it should be in the chart is the fact that it is not a complete circuit.--Astros4477 (talk) 14:21, 4 April 2012 (UTC)

Recently you've been creating a bunch of navbox templates with categories that are automatically applied to the pages that transclude the template. Some of these categories, however, didn't exist until I created them.In the future, it would be great if you could please create the category at the same time the template is created. Regards Themeparkgc  Talk  22:23, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the tip,--Astros4477 (talk) 01:26, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
I have been working on creating the WikiProject Cedar Fair but I'm running into problems with it, is there anyway you can help? I've looked at other WikiProject amusement park pages but the categorization is getting messed up.--Astros4477 (talk) 15:08, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
All the categories seem to be created already here. You just need to add |cedar=yes|cedar-importance=??? to the relevant articles where ??? is an importance level (low, mid, high, top). Is that what you were meaning or am I misunderstanding? Themeparkgc  Talk  01:47, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
I meant how do I make this page have the same categories and stuff as this page?--Astros4477 (talk) 03:59, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
Okay now I get what you mean. Firstly, I'll give you a bit of background.
Originally there was the Amusement Parks WikiProject. Some editors branched off and created WikiProject Disneyland, WikiProject Walt Disney World, WikiProject UK Theme Parks, WikiProject Herschend Family Entertainment and WikiProject Universal Parks & Resorts as children projects. After the first 4 projects had become inactive for a while, I decided to merge them in (along with the Universal project that I had created) to WikiProject Amusement Parks and convert them to task forces. All of the categories remained the same in reference to the former WikiProjects. In doing so, I sparked some new interest in WikiProject Amusement Parks and additional task forces were created (Cedar Fair, Six Flags, Merlin Entertainments, and Hersheypark). Since these were never standalone WikiProjects, the categories related to these featured task force in their name (e.g. Category:Merlin Entertainments task force).
So in short, the category you recently created at Category:WikiProject Cedar Fair already exists at Category:Cedar Fair Entertainment Company task force. To merge them back together you could point Category:WikiProject Cedar Fair participants to be included in the task force category rather than the WikiProject category, and request the WikiProject category be deleted under {{db-g7}}. Themeparkgc  Talk  07:15, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for clearing that up. That makes much more sense. I also directed the Template:User WP:CF to Category:Cedar Fair Entertainment Company task force. Should I rename that template instead of the WP for WikiProject? Also, I know you would use {subst:AP invite|Astros4477 (talk)} to invite someone to the AP project, what would you use to invite them to the Cedar Fair task force? --Astros4477 (talk) 12:51, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
I haven't really thought of that. Maybe the template can be converted to include something like "You may also be interested in the <insert-name-here> task force." Thoughts? Themeparkgc  Talk  22:20, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
That sounds good.--Astros4477 (talk) 23:18, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
Done You now can invite users to a specific task force using {{subst:AP invite|1=~~~~|2=Cedar Fair}}. Themeparkgc  Talk  23:33, 8 April 2012 (UTC)

RE: Leviathan term

Well the letters MC were on the lables (which stand for Mega Coaster)...just like how WI stands for Wing Coaster. I think B&M is just trying to confuse us. :P --Dom497 (talk) 20:54, 6 April 2012 (UTC)

Hopefully it all gets cleared up soon. I haven't been on CWmania for a week, has the drop been announced? Once we find out we need to make sure we post it.--Astros4477 (talk) 00:58, 7 April 2012 (UTC)
Daily Planet (from Discovery Channel Canada) did a report on Leviathan this past week and they mentioned that the park isn't 100% sure of any numbers and that is why nothing has been told to the public. What they did say though was that at the bottom of the drop, riders will feel a max of 4.5 g's for 0.2 seconds....but they aren't convinced that that is the right number as of now (even though it probably is).--Dom497 (talk) 12:24, 7 April 2012 (UTC)

Your request for rollback

Hi Astros4477. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! v/r - TP 15:45, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

I have added the attraction model template to Wikipedia. If you want to help, you can add the template to other articles that talk about a ride model. If you want to see an example, I placed one on the Wing Coaster article.--Dom497 (talk) 21:10, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

Ya I'll be able to help. It looks good, the only thing I would recommend is adding a "number of installations" parameter.--Astros4477 (talk) 21:14, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

Very nice article—good luck with GA! One thing I noticed (since footnotes were an issue in the first GAN) is that the last six citations are bare URLs; you may want to re-format them according to the citation guidelines. All the best, Miniapolis (talk) 20:37, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

Am I allowed to review Kingda Ka? From what I know, I can't review an article if I have contributed to it a lot. The rules don't state that if you know a lot about the subject you can review it. If I'm allowed I will review it! Do you happen to know?--Dom497 (talk) 20:21, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
According to WP:GAN, you are aloud to review it. It just says you can't if you have significantly contributed to it in the past.--Astros4477 (talk) 00:57, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

Good Article Review: Kingda Ka

I have stopped reviewing the article until all paragraphs in the article have a reference. There are quite a lot unreferenced paragraphs.--Dom497 (talk) 00:26, 1 June 2012 (UTC)

I will give you 10 days to fix up the reference issue. In the meantime, I have changed my mind and will complete the review. PS, I really should really have failed this article right now as it is no where near GA right now. I would give you 14 days to fix up the article but rules are rules. It should really only be 7 days and therefore I will give you 10 days max. Consider this a little gift from me that I am giving you the chance to get the article to GA without having to re-nominate it.--Dom497 (talk) 00:30, 2 June 2012 (UTC)

Missing Ride Location on Boomerang (roller coaster) page

Hi,

Sorry if I'm not sticking to the rules for these messages, I'm not sure what to do here or how to edit wikipedia pages!

I was looking at the Boomerang (roller coaster) page that you have been involved with, and realised that I know of a boomerang not listed in the Ride Location section. I knew of it when it was at a Butlins Holiday Resort in Wales in the UK, and as far as I can tell from nostalgia sites in the uk, this ride was relocated to Dixie Landin Theme Park in Lousiana, and renamed Ragin Cajun. This is confirmed on www.rcdb.com

I don't know how to add this entry myself, so I picked you at random and got in touch to see if you would be interested in correcting this information.

Thanks for your time,

John from Nottingham in the UK. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.32.88 (talk) 15:17, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

I have added the coaster to the article.--Astros4477 (talk) 15:29, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom

I changed commons category to inline because there was only one other item (this much should have been in the notes), and it generally looks better and scans better under these conditions than having a big ugly box out of the way on the right and then a big blank space below the single External link. Just my opinion, and I have not reverted your edit. Don Lammers (talk) 20:58, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

I changed it back.--Astros4477 (talk) 23:35, 8 June 2012 (UTC)

Ok!

Hi Astros,

sorry, thought you were just someone trying to get his edits up, now I see that you truly are here on your turf, trying to help; nonetheless sources are very unlikely to appear any time soon, out on wiki it might get help from others, on a user page it won't. So I'm just leaving the page there for now until more info comes up, if you feel it needs to be deleted do go ahead, but I'm pretty sure we're on the same page here. Marginal though it is, or ever will be for mankind, just a little corner for, in my case, leave some saudades. take care, Magafuzula (talk) 02:39, 25 June 2012 (UTC) (and naturally I skipped your intro I see now after saving)

I'll leave the page. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't some guy creating an article about a made up attraction. I did a quick search on google and I found forums about it so I know it's not made up. Just a note for the future though, don't create an article about an attraction unless it's been confirmed. It helps with spreading rumors about something that may or may not happen. I am however going to add the tag back so people notice there's not references and hopefully add one. You're right! I'm glad someone in this place has some brains. I thought I was editing the California's Great America page. Face palm. Jim1138 (talk) 01:39, 26 June 2012 (UTC)

June 2012

Hello. It appears that you have been canvassing—leaving messages on others' talk pages to notify them of an ongoing community decision, debate, or vote—in order to influence Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2012_June_29#Template:Six_Flags_in_2012. While friendly notices are allowed, they should be limited and nonpartisan in distribution and should reflect a neutral point of view. Please do not post notices which are indiscriminately cross-posted, which espouse a certain point of view or side of a debate, or which are selectively sent only to those who are believed to hold the same opinion as you. Remember to respect Wikipedia's principle of consensus-building by allowing decisions to reflect the prevailing opinion among the community at large. jcgoble3 (talk) 03:25, 30 June 2012 (UTC)
