Breadwinners (TV series)

[edit]

Hi, I've twice removed content you've submitted to Breadwinners (TV series). It's nothing personal, but Wikipedia is not here to catalog every aspect of the series, so minor characters, or characters that have only appeared once are probably not suitable for inclusion. Further, if you notice that content you've submitted has been reverted instead of resubmitting it, please check the edit history by clicking "View history" at the top of the article. In this case, I explained my rationale for removing the content, so if you disagree with the rationale, you should start a discussion on the article's talk page instead of just resubmitting it. Thanks, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:39, 12 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Phillip Yau requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Your contributed article, List of IndyCar fatal accidents

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, List of IndyCar fatal accidents. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – List of fatal Champ Car accidents. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at List of fatal Champ Car accidents – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Aerospeed (Talk) 20:55, 7 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Never Give Up! (SpongeBob), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.sbmania.net/music.php?id=202.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) A tag has been placed on Never Give Up! (SpongeBob) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.sbmania.net/music.php?id=202. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Deletions analysis

[edit]

You asked me to look into the problem of your articles getting deleted. I think you have several issues. First, the topics that you're picking aren't the right type of topics that get put into an encyclopedia. The topic types shouldn't be legendary drivers or some topic that requires the writer/reader to give an opinion. Most of the racing topics already have articles. Are there existing articles on topics that interest you to work on instead? Your biggest problem is that you need to first come up with a list of reliable sources before you start writing an article. I always "look before I leap" into a new topic. Make sure that you have a bunch of solid sources before you actually write on the topic. Wikipedia is based on verifiable information coming from reliable sources. Another problem is that you're writing articles taken from a US-centric view and not a world view. I hope that you find my comments to be helpful and constructive. Royalbroil 04:23, 21 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Awesomebroboy1. In the interests of potentially saving you some effort in the future, may I suggest that before creating another motorsport-related article, you start a discussion at the Motorsport WikiProject describing the article you plan to create, so that other editors can comment on whether they think it's a suitable topic before you create the article, rather than you investing the effort to create the article, only for it to subsequently be deleted. If you need help with starting a discussion, just let me know, either here or at my talk page. Regards. DH85868993 (talk) 01:39, 22 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of speedy deletion tag

[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from SpongeBong HempPants, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion and appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Well, this article is a parody of SpongeBob. You could search up some SpongeBob links.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Awesomebroboy1 (talkcontribs)
But I DID talk about the show. I just added SpongeBob in for a better understanding of the article.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Awesomebroboy1 (talkcontribs)
You clearly missed Everymorning's point. Submitted articles have to be about notable subjects. Either find the right criteria at WP:NOTABILITY, or be sure that the subject meets the general notability guideline. Unsourced articles rarely ever meet the cut. The burden is yours to support your article, not for other users to do your research. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 06:49, 4 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm MrX. I noticed that you made a change to an article, 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - MrX 13:59, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Andretti Autosport Pocono Problems, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Justin Wilson. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:37, 27 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. I'm just here to say I have finally made a successful page. However, the page is an orphan and has no categories. Sending categories on my talk page or putting them on the page I created, as well as sending me links or putting them on the page will be greatly appreciated.

Proposed deletion of Andretti Autosport Pocono Problems

[edit]

The article Andretti Autosport Pocono Problems has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unsourced and does not warrant an article; this can easily be added to the race article's page itself.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
