Welcome![edit]

Hello, Ayegerardo, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

  • You can find answers to many student questions on our Q&A site, ask.wikiedu.org

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me on my talk page. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:16, 22 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, please let me add my welcome to Shalor's above. I noticed the work you were doing to improve the Adventures In Missions (Texas) page - this page definitely needs some attention, it's had no updates for a number of years, and currently contains no independent references of any kind (not good!).
If I may, I'd like to offer a bit of advice about the text you've currently got in your sandbox - I hope you'll find this helpful.
  • Regarding your section on 'Application steps', please review WP:NOTGUIDE. We don't offer advice on how to do things - we could include a link to the organisations website in the 'External Links' section (see WP:EL for more on that), hopefully that would give readers access to advice on applying.
  • Finally, your 'Purpose' section will need some changes. We can't make statements in Wikipedia's voice saying what the job or duty of every Christian is, or that many people do not know how to fulfill God's calling - that would fall foul of various policies and guidelines, like WP:OR and WP:NPOV. Our aim should be to provide factual information, as neutrally as we possible can, all based on reliable, secondary sources.
I realise this is a lot to take in, and I'm not trying to give you a hard time! I'm just eager that you don't spend time working on material that the community won't accept. If I were you, I would start by looking for reliable independent sources, and see what you can add to the article with them. You can drop me a note on my talk page any time if you have any questions. Cheers, and happy editing. GirthSummit (blether) 18:21, 12 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
