Your talk page and your message at the New contributors' help page

[edit]

I just created a user subpage for you and put the text of your draft article there -- it is not appropriate for a talk page. The subpage is at User:Baydawin/Ashin Mettacara. I also put a link to it on you user page. I also deleted the draft from the New contributors' help page as that page is for asking for help, not for draft articles. Hope this helps. BTW for your draft article to meet WP's notability requirements, it will need reliable sources to demonstrate notability. – ukexpat (talk) 21:32, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia. I have done two things to your articles: I have "moved" "Ashin mettacara" (changed its title) to Ashin Mettacara, so that the second name is capitalised; and I have turned the identical article Mettacara into a redirect, so that anyone who clicks on it will be taken to "Ashin Mettacara" - that saves having two identical articles. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 21:34, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

...and I have also turned "Ashin metadata" into a redirect, but I have also tagged that one for deletion because it is not a likely misprint that anyone would try to search on. Another time, if you create an article with the wrong title, you can either change its title by clicking the "Move" tab at the top, or if you want to delete it and start again you can blank it and put {{db-author}} at the top (two curly brackets each side) which is a request to have it deleted. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 21:40, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the message on my talk page and your off-wiki e-mail. It can take several days for Google's indexing bots to index a new Wikipedia article. There isn't anything that you, I or Wikipedia can do about that, as it's all down to Google. However, let's not lose sight of what we are doing here and that's building an encyclopedia, not entering into a contest for Google hits. – ukexpat (talk) 14:19, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If you are searching for it on Google and it is not being returned as a hit, it is because the Google bots that index new web pages have not indexed this page yet. It can take a number of days sometimes longer for Google to index new pages. You will just have to be patient, I am afraid. There is nothing we can do. – ukexpat (talk) 14:49, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 15:20, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ashin Mettacara requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. The article Ashin Mettacara has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable subject. He's just another blogger, and the "awards" he's won appear to be insignificant themselves.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Nomination of Ashin Mettacara for deletion

[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article Ashin Mettacara, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ashin Mettacara until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Jonobennett (talk) 09:53, 11 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
