I was just admiring the picture you uploaded of a German Shepherd, I'm guessing yours. He's beautiful. --Caponer 05:45, 18 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

History of the Internet[edit]

Hi there. I thought this change of yours was good. Unfortunately, it has been reverted recently because considered "extranious". For some reason, Barberio displays strong ownership of that article. However, I've had too many problems with him to revert to your version.

Just to let you know that if you decide to insist, I will back you up. PizzaMargherita 11:17, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up. The phrase is now back to a more correct English form. I won't press the issue too far, but thanks anyways. Bburton 06:07, 14 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Offutt Air Force Base[edit]

I see that you changed Offutt Air Force Base to say the Enola Gay was modified (rather than built) at Offutt. My understanding from virtually all sources is that Offutt was built in conjunction with the Glenn L. Martin bomber plant which was located at Offutt. The plant built the bombers and Tibbetts picked the bomber from the assembly line to also be modified. I see that you have added a lot of military history articles so I might be wrong on some facts since my interest is more from a civilan pov about Omaha. Americasroof 03:33, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, I see your point completely. The bombers did go through initial assembly at the bomber plant located on Offutt (now called building D). They were sent across the runway (to the present-day "fieldhouse") where they were modified from the stock design in order to carry the atomic weapons. Now that you point it out, I do see the problems with stating that it was modified at Offutt and not mentioning where it was built. I have reverted the page so that it says "built" again. This may warrent some further rewriting to give a more detailed view into what went on. However, that is probably more appropriate for the Enola Gay and Bockscar articles. Thanks for the double-check. Bburton 21:14, 17 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
