Well then you're not looking carefully, because the "new argument" (for example) was one in addressing one of yours, about "not always part of Italy in the past". I refuted that argument reminding you that many other regions of Italy were not considered part of a unified whole until recently anyway. Number two, as far as "readability", that's just your opinion that it's not readable in saying it the way it is with "region of southern Italy" in the opening sentence. The point is saying it in the opening as well as "Medit Island" is not so "unreadable". Why should it be? It's accurate and is way more consistent with other regions of Italy is the point. Archive links
I was wondering what your reasoning is for adding archive links to references that are still live, such as this one when we usually add an archive link to references that are dead links. The archive link will still be there after the live link no longer exists so it seems like you are doing unnecessary work where there is actually no need. I undid the "merge/redirect" that you did for a couple of reasons:
- The edit caused a double redirect.
- The section in the USACE article is merely a summary to show how widespread USACE is in the US.
- A stub article should be expanded where possible, not deleted unless no further information is available.
- Further information on SPD is available (I just don't have the time to flesh it out); and a main article can be a valuable resource to researchers if it exists.
- Having a stub versus no stub acts as an encouragement to editors (i.e., the public) to improve the article per Wikipedia guidelines.

Response to your reply
I understand where you are going, but the only reason there is no expansion of these stubs is that there are only so many things one can do in a day. I started watching the various USACE-related wiki articles because of NPOV problems, but I can't fix them all (right now). I tinker more than anything at this point and usually just watch my watchlist.
As for notability, a quick Google on us army corps of engineers "south pacific division" revealed 17,900 hits. It is probably like that for the other divisions.
I hear what you are saying about content forking. It could potentially be a problem; however, it depends on how it is done. Each District and Division has different "centers of expertise" in an attempt to minimize redundant work effort. I think that these would be interesting to researchers, but I don't have the time to research for independent notable articles that are not written by the subject organization itself. Exploring/explaining all that in the main USACE article would make that article too big (IMNSHO, it is already too big per Wikipedia:Article size). And that is also why I removed many redlinks in the main USACE article since there was little likelihood of getting any article on those subjects started in the foreseeable future. In general, I see it more as splitting an article.
As for the article titles, that IS a problem. I did not create the articles. They could be -- should be -- moved to more appropriate AND consistent, more self-explanatory titles. But that doesn't mean that they need to be eliminated. Don'tKnowItAtAll (talk) 19:20, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

I saw that you've raised several objections in the talk page about the new non-collapsible template that User:Qara xan has created, and told Qara xan that it is pending further discussion. - I agree that 1976 seems much more likely. It's closer to the 1974 "700th anniversary" and the style of the stamp seems more like 1976. I attempted to verify the date using Scott's Postage Stamp Catalogue, but I could not find it listed there, which probably means that it is a revenue stamp and not a postage stamp. That it says "Iran" and not "I. R. Iran" or "Republic Iran" means that it cannot be after the 1979 revolution. I don't know what reference I might have had six years ago when I uploaded this image. I'll see if I can find the 2003 Revenue Stamps of Iran somewhere to verify the date. Thank for bringing this to my attention. --Bejnar (talk) 20:47, 16 September 2012 (UTC)

Northern Mbundu
I did not quite understand your redirects. Which is the term you consider as mnost commonly used: Northern Mbundu (introduced by European ethnologists, unknown in Angola), Mbundu (which in Angola as well as internationally is increasingly given up in favour of Ambundu or Akwambundu, i.e. with the plural prefix), or Kimbundus (which is used by Portuguese and other Europeans who don't know Kimbundu is just the languege spoken by the Ambundu)? -- Aflis (talk) 22:59, 24 September 2012 (UTC)
- My comments about frequency were not about the names but about the topics, as I was doing disambiguation. Of the articles on Google scholar and the current English Wikipedia which use the term "Mbundu" more than 80% use it to refer to the Ambundu whose article currently on the English Wikipedia is at Northern Mbundu people, not my choice. Generally the term Ovimbundu is used preferentially for those people at the current article Southern Mbundu people, again, not my choice of title. With any luck, no articles currently use the Mbundu people redirect page, but past usage suggests that if in the future they do so they would be most likely referring to the Ambundu, hence it currently points to the Northern Mbundu people article. There is a dab hatnote at the top of the article to catch any false drops. If someone suggests a move of Northern Mbundu people to Ambundu, I would support it. (The redirects would follow the move.) See WP:Requested moves. As to the languages, where I found someone using Mbuntu, I tried to check their source, again the more likely target was Kimbundu, as in the dictionary by Amandus Johnson. Again, I did not name the articles, so the article about Kimbundu is at North Mbundu language, etc. Again I suggest going through the formal move process. Thank you for your explanations. I am indeed entirely in favour of changing the titles "Northern Mbundu" to "Ambundu", and "Southern Mbundu" to "Ovimbundu". And, of course, of "Northern Mbundu language" to "Kimbundu". Which by the way, corresponds to the use I found in other Wikipedias - I edit mostly in pt:WP, but frequently have a look at fr:WP and de:WP. You successfully nominated the Ruben Canelo article for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ruben Canelo, and you were the one who had the insight that the "Lord of Studley" title was almost certainly not real. Since then a new SPA created a new article Lord Professor Ruben Canelo of Studley which was speedy-deleted. Festus v. Festus
Hey, Bejnar, I acknowledge that this can be tricky, but I think you need to revisit your disambiguating of Festus to Festus (historian) or Sextus Pompeius Festus. - I'm very impressed by your carefulness in this. I'm in a bit of a dash at the moment, but yes, there are different excerpts and so forth of Festus the lexicographer. If you find a Festus in connection with Paulus, it's the lexicographer, because that refers to excerpta. An s.v. will mean the lexicographer, because it's referring to the entry rather than a page number in an edition. Flamen Dialis would be the lexicographer. Will try to remember to get back to this. Hi. Thanks for your help – the URL you found is actually very useful, because it gets closer to the "destination" than I had managed to get. Using the "View source" function in IE, I can grab a list of the four-digit codes that are used for each county, and substitute the relevant one for the county I'm interested in. If I add an explanatory note in the citation template (something like "Click Search on this page"), I reckon that should be a sufficiently robust citation. Hi, Im wondering if you could help me with something, After another user commented on the List of Presidents of Colombia on being too complicated to read and full of misleading information, which was true, it prompted me to take some action and attempt do some changes and clarifications, specially because its not just this page that has misleading, unclear information, but every page relating to one of our "presidents", their vice presidents, first ladies, government ministers, elections, and the general way Colombian history is told in wikipedia in relation to its leaders and constitutional stages, and by fixing this list it can provide a guideline to fix and edit the relating articles and help in the making of future ones. So after a lot of research I have made some adjustments focusing on the constitutional presidents, like it should be, in any case could you take the time to look over what I've done in User:Mijotoba/List of Presidents of Colombia and give me your opinion and advice, it's hard to find other users from the Colombian wikiproject who may be familiar with its crazy history, and I wanna make sure that Im getting enough feedback before i make the changes in the actual page.
