Hello Bill and welcome to Wikipedia. Unfortunately articles on non-league club seasons do not meet our notability guidelines (WP:NSEASONS) and the article has been nominated for deletion. You are welcome to work on improving 2017–18 Northern Premier League, 2017–18 FA Trophy or 2017–18 FA Cup qualifying rounds, and of course South Shields F.C.. Happy to answer any questions you have – I do a lot of editing on non-league football. Cheers, Number 57 21:18, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Bill. As I said, non-league club season articles do not meet the WP:NSEASONS notability guideline. Newcastle and Brighton's do as they are in "top professional leagues". Number 57 08:47, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, so if i was to add this information to the South Shields FC page instead, would this be acceptable?

No, it wouldn't be appropriate there. Number 57 09:27, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

what an utter waste of time then eh. deary me.

Sorry about that. Editing Wikipedia is often a learning curve at the start – many of my early edits were removed as they weren't in accordance with guidelines/policies. Cheers, Number 57 10:30, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I apologise for my tone, as you can imagine I am frustrated. So in your experience is there any way I can keep the page I have made or not? Surely there must be a way around it? 😔

No problem. With regards to keeping the article, I'm afraid not. As I mentioned above, I'd advise working on other articles that are deemed suitable for Wikipedia. Number 57 12:59, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 15:12, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, 2017–18 Northern Football Alliance, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the confirms on the Articles for Creation template atop the page.
