Welcome to Wikipedia. I have noticed that some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to I Am Love (song), have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you to seek consensus for certain edits. Thank you.  -- WikHead (talk) 00:12, 19 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Give In To Me Video , 1992.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Give In To Me Video , 1992.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:16, 15 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Toronto, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thank you. The image you replaced did not match the caption. Johnny Au (talk/contributions) 02:27, 16 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to Mason Dash Disick, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you. Callanecc (talkcontribs) talkback (etc) template appreciated. 16:01, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. JamesBWatson (talk) 16:03, 25 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from changing genres, as you did to D.S. (song), without providing a source and without establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 03:06, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In your recent edit to Thriller (album), you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 00:35, 16 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Thriller (album). Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 00:44, 16 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is the final warning that you will receive regarding continued genre changing without discussion or sources. If you choose to continue, as you did at She's Out of My Life, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.  -- WikHead (talk) 00:12, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

External links to pages requring registration should be avoided per Wikipedia:El#Sites_requiring_registration. Also, what little I saw did not show the genre for that piece. Jim1138 (talk) 00:45, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Enjoy Yourself (The Jacksons song), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Enjoy Yourself (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

You've received a full set of warnings and explanations about genre warring, yet choose to ignore your talk page and continue editing as you please. I would much rather work together in harmony... but if I continue to find more of this disruption linked to your username, it will be reported without further hesitation. The choice to shape up is still yours. Regards,  -- WikHead (talk) 05:20, 6 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, I Can't Help It (Michael Jackson songI Can't Help It). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – The Lady in My Life. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at The Lady in My Life – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Metropolitan90 (talk) 02:12, 13 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please, you've been well warned (above) about genre warring yet you continue to ignore the warnings and edit however you please. If I continue to find more of this disruption linked to this username, it will be reported without further hesitation. Don't say you weren't well warned in advance. Regards,  -- WikHead (talk) 22:33, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for violating Wikipedia policy. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest this block by replying here on your talk page by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}}. You may also email the blocking administrator or any administrator from this list instead, or submit a request for unblock to the Unblock Ticket Request System. The article I Can't Help It (Michael Jackson song) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:REF AND WP:NOCITE

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Michael Jackson without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, Jim1138 (talk) 04:47, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Michael Jackson, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 22:59, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Michael Jackson. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 22:59, 10 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
