Request for review of a pageblock

You might want to review the reasons that you blocked me, unless you're a rightwinger not interested in facts. Here's the detailed message I left for liar Mako001. "I already responded to you about "rugged individualism,' so please explain why you're ignoring that message I left. And, as for "Jessica Cisneros," you, mako001, are the one who is not being factual. As of last night, the race was not called between Cisneros and Cuellar. Yet, you kept writing on the page that "Jessica Cisneros lost in 2022." And I repeatedly fixed your ignorant mistake, only for you to rewrite it again. Explain your repeated goal of misleading readers and deleting facts. 24.194.73.98 (talk) 01:06, 5 June 2022 (UTC)" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.194.73.98 (talk)

I have never heard of Cisneros (I'm not American), and you were blocked purely for edit-warring. Black Kite (talk) 09:48, 5 June 2022 (UTC)

PWA in Australia again

Back in 2020 you salted Pro Wrestling Australia for being persistently re-created. Well, it has been created again under a different name. PWA Black Label. I can't tag it formally for a speedy deletion as there isn't criteria for this situation that I can find. Would appreciate a pre-emptive strike if appropriate, or any thoughts otherwise. Addicted4517 (talk) 10:52, 7 June 2022 (UTC)

Please could you look at the editing history with particular note of a new editor SovalValtos1 with a user name close to mine and DrNickRiviera1? I am unaware of having done much substantially wrong myself. Best wishes.SovalValtos (talk) 19:37, 9 June 2022 (UTC)

SPA tag

Black Kit, I applied the SPA tag at Talk:Mikey Walsh because a new editor jumped in and claimed to be an impartial judge of COI. Since this is an unusual first edit in a page that has certainly had apparent COIs (some disclosed), it is worth tagging so that other editors may be aware. This is similar to widespread usage I've seen at AfDs. I certainly would not tag a first edit (even to a talk page) as SPA in the absence of concerns. Am I missing something? Perhaps your underlying suggestion is that it is better to just ignore? Russ Woodroofe (talk) 18:27, 13 June 2022 (UTC)

  • Yes, obviously if the editor continues to only cover the Walsh article then that's another issue, but to be honest the SPA tag is really there for when single purpose accounts are trying to caue problems such as influencing discussions like AfDs. Black Kite (talk) 18:30, 13 June 2022 (UTC)
    • Yep! Single purpose account trying to influence a discussion in a problematic-looking (to me) way is why I tagged. So I'm not completely off base, but maybe should tend to reserve for !vote situations. Thanks! Russ Woodroofe (talk) 18:37, 13 June 2022 (UTC)

Hello Black Kite! Interstellarity (talk) has given you a bit of sunshine to brighten your day! Sunshine promotes WikiLove and hopefully it has made your day better. Lal Masjid Siege

I changed the short description from "Pakistani Students" to "radical insurrectionists" as that's a more fitting description, this sort of label is applied to all such groups. The Taliban for example, which literally means "students", was also a militant student organization, nonetheless are labelled appropriately.

The insurgents were very clearly insurrectionists who denied the legitimacy of the state and it's overthrow and a revolution in the legal system. It is disturbing to label them "Pakistani Students". Eranvez1414 (talk) 18:20, 22 June 2022 (UTC)

AE Request

Hi Black Kite, I read your answer. I am trying to better understand the points where I went wrong, to avoid repeating them in the future. Drmies wrote to me that in his opinion the main problems are: "first of all, they need to be discussed neutrally, so that means neutral section headings. Second, don't write up edit summaries that clearly and unnecessarily reflect negatively on her. Third, such material needs to be discussed based on reliable sources". Do you think these are the things I got wrong or are there others? Thank you.--Mhorg (talk) 06:43, 24 June 2022 (UTC)

Any chance you could look at...

Hey. Any chance you could take a look at Talk:Female (gender) and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Female (gender)? If it's appropriate to do so of course. There's some...heated...discussions going on, and a...weird discussion that might be getting in the way of actually developing the article. I don't think it's at the level yet where a trip to ANI or AE is required, and I'd rather have an admin try to chill things down a bit now before they get to that point. Dear Black Kite I am not sure if you recall but you were active in a discussion over the strange and down right misleading editing going on with [2] the pov editing is back with a new editor now using the same old unreliable sources to claim it is a Indian dish made in Delhi while removing all mention of Pakistan etc.

At every given instance they mention India in the article could you kindly address this I think thus article needs a long term protection or something.

Children's TV vandal is back

Hi, just letting you know that the children's TV vandal from ANI is back again (67.161.102.12). Edderiofer (talk) 14:32, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

And again at (67.161.102.30). Should the 67.161.102.XXX range be blocked? Edderiofer (talk) 12:54, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
I've blocked the range for six months. Black Kite (talk) 15:17, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
Thanks. I'm sure they'll crop up again on some other range, but I guess we'll cross that bridge when we get there. Edderiofer (talk) 17:07, 12 September 2022 (UTC)
It's been over two weeks, and so far they've not returned. Thanks once again for the help! Edderiofer (talk) 11:33, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
Spoke too soon, they've cropped up again at 67.161.101.226 (though this time they appear to have been dealt with by another admin). If they come up yet again on a similar range, I'll let you know too. Edderiofer (talk) 04:56, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
And again, at 67.161.103.188. You might have to block the whole 67.161.10X.XXX range at this rate. Edderiofer (talk) 04:31, 29 September 2022 (UTC)

Thoughts?

Hi Black Kite,
I noticed this online link[6]. This might result in more disruption in the cesspool known as WP:AA2 and WP:KURDS.
Google translate: ""The first spark was ignited in order to correct and organize the unfounded claims we have seen on Wikipedia recently. r/turkviki was established. Let's get organized from there."

Another link:[7]
Google translate:[8] "Friends, this subreddit was founded on the termination of unfounded claims made on Wikipedia. Our aim is to put an end to the unfounded allegations made on Wikipedia, the propaganda activities targeting our country and nation, to express the truth and correct the mistakes."
Google translate of one of the comments:[9] "we need a larger audience, salaried employees of wikipedia, and I don't know how effective we can be against the current Turkish hatred"

I hope you are well.

Not sure if you recall, but you participated in my previous appeal to my topic ban. To my disappointment, you did not support my appeal. I currently am appealing again. I hope that the concerns you expressed may be lessened or completely alleviated this time around. If not, I would appreciate you share what concerns you have with me so I can address them to you before you reach a verdict if you chose to. I look forward to conducting a dialogue with any inquiries you may have.

I believe you also partook in my first appeal and the discussion that had following the imposing of the sanction. I apologize if I offended you in any of my comments around that time. I was at a point of emotional turmoil in my life at the time, I recognize I was rather reactive in my responses here.
