Your account has been indefinitely blocked from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of username and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions instead of promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Sdrqaz (talk) 21:23, 29 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Requested username:

Request reason:

I am apart of Bloomreach's PR team. Bloomreach is a commerce experience cloud with over 800 employees. We wanted to create a Wikipedia page for the company as it continues to grow and become a globally used commerce platform. I am a salaried Bloomreach employee apart of Bloomreach's PR & Communications team. Before, I did not properly create and edit the page and did not disclose that as apart of my salaried position I have been tasked with creating a Bloomreach Wikipedia page. Going forward I will make sure our edits on the company's page will comply with all guidelines and will not repeat my previous mistakes. Additionally, we want Bloomreach's Wikipedia page to be a place that future and current employees, customers, and partners can refer to in order to understand what Bloomreach does and how we can better their business goals and career. Thank you and I hope to be unblocked in the near future.

Decline reason:

That username would still be inappropriate. We have no interest in what Bloomreach's PR team wishes to say about the company and it was deeply inappropriate of the company to task you with this. If this is your only goal, this is the end of the line. If instead you wish to write about subject areas for which you have no conflict of interest, tell us what you wish to write about instead. Hi Yamla,
I'm confused. Are editors of pages supposed to be completely unbiased? I have worked for a PR agency before and have been tasked with creating Wikipedia pages for clients, this is not out of scope for a PR and Communications professional. Thanks! Bloomreachpr (talk) 21:46, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, editors of pages are supposed to be unbiased, not part of the PR agency. Which other pages did you create, so we can go and remove those contributions where appropriate. --Yamla (talk) 21:50, 4 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
See Wikipedia:Public relations and marketing. Also, if you created/edited pages for clients in the past and did not disclose this information, then you violated Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure policy. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 04:20, 5 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
