Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! [edit]Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. I am glad to see that you are discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:George H. W. Bush are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic or unrelated topics. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Your message was not appropriate to an editorial discussion related to building an encyclopedia. Please take note of behaviour considered to be not here to build an encyclopedia, and avoid it. It was also technically a violation of the biographies of living persons policy. Thanks. Murph9000 (talk) 01:44, 13 May 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of User:Bob man guy dude
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on User:Bob man guy dude, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It appears to be a clear copyright infringement. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.
- It appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free Web hosting service. (See section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Murph9000 (talk) 01:56, 13 May 2017 (UTC)

[edit]This is your only warning; if you add defamatory content to Wikipedia again, as you did at Talk:George W. Bush, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Murph9000 (talk) 01:50, 13 May 2017 (UTC)

- Yes, we know that, we're an encyclopedia which has an article on nipple clamps. Murph9000 (talk) 02:06, 13 May 2017 (UTC)
- Glad to see you're joking with me now... unless that's not a joke... in which case: lighten up dude, I'm just here to make jokes I have nothing better to do with my sad cold life. I love you though [[User:Bob man guy dude (talk) whenever i posted this i dont know UTC dude(UTC)
Just for you, Murph9000. Are you actually joking with me or are you 100% serious with everything you do on my page.
[edit]I'm honestly wondering at this poing. And, since you asked before, my home page got everything from here: http://www.dailychump.org/toenail-fungus-everything-you-need-to-know/ . I also put that link at the bottom of your talk page, sorry, so just disregard that. Thanks. I love you by the way.
- I'm serious. You started off slow, but then sped right through a number of quite serious policies. What happens next is not up to me (I'm essentially just the first responder). Murph9000 (talk) 02:18, 13 May 2017 (UTC)
- okay. Well, thanks anyway. do whatever you want with this page I'm probably never going to edit Wikipedia again unless it's serious. I'm just a student who wanted to have painless fun, but this is a serious community and not the place for me. In school, they always teach that you shouldn't use Wikipedia, but with people that are serious about the work that they do, like you, there's no real risk in getting information here. Thank you for what you do, even if I just messed it up. it was fun while it lasted. Bye! keep up the good work! I have like 3 mental illnesses, so I should see a doctor... I love you.
- Well, we do have fun, but it does not involve disruptive behaviour on article talk pages, defamatory content anywhere, copyright violations anywhere, and so on. Defamation and copyright are taken extremely seriously for serious legal reasons. The fun we have does not do anything which disrupts Wikipedia or potentially causes legal trouble for the Wikimedia Foundation. Come back when you're prepared to be mostly serious with occasional subtle and non-disruptive fun (but, most importantly, if you want to constructively help to build a serious encyclopedia) that does not cause anyone else a problem or consume their time to clean up after it. If helping to build an encyclopedia is not your goal, Wikipedia is not the place for you. Thanks. Murph9000 (talk) 02:28, 13 May 2017 (UTC)
