Speedy deletion of Pixmac[edit]

A tag has been placed on Pixmac, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Pixmac, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. A More Perfect Onion (talk) 20:54, 28 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you recreated Pixmac after it had been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. I have tagged the article to address the issues of the subject's notability and the article's lack of independent, reliable sources. Please improve the article to resolve these issues. Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Pixmac. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. References for submitting photos for the organization fall under WP:NOT#HOWTO. Please add references for the organization itself. A More Perfect Onion (talk) 13:06, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Pixmac, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Please do not remove the notability or refimprove templates until the article has been improved to demonstrate notability with good sources. • The article didn't make any claim of notability (why it was worthy for inclusion, it just claimed to exist) and didn't cite any reliable references therefore not meeting the notability criteria of WP:CORP. Fotolia mentions a large userbase and coverage by the New York Times, Shutterstock is coveraged by several reliable publications and iStockPhoto was acquired by Getty Images and has a large Alexa ranking. If you can establish similar coverage by reliable publications in combination with a large picture collection, userbase or visitor number, the article might have a chance of staying. (PS the last version of your article contained a how to section, that is not suitable for Wikipedia) - Mgm|(talk) 08:41, 19 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My Talk Page[edit]

Hi there,

I recently noticed that you deleted something from my talk page regarding the article "Pixmac". I understand that you may have wanted to retract something that you had said previously, but please note that it is still my talk page and therefore I should be the person who makes the decision what gets removed from it!

Please understand that I mean you no ill and that I am not angered in any way, I would just ask you that you refrain from doing that in the future.

Thanks,
