This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Tabby's Place, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.tabbysplace.org/what-is-tabbys-place.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.)

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Thank you for uploading File:Tp-building.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 02:30, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Problems with upload of File:Tabby-building.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Tabby-building.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 04:05, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How does anything work on Wiki (just kidding, please see below)?

[edit]

I'm really new at this and have left a message on the Coren talk page also.

I previously tried to publish an article on "Tabby's Place: A Cat Sanctuary," which was deleted by JoJan for copyright problems (my bad: I simply uploaded language from their URL. Stupid, I know, but it was my first try on Wiki).

Secondly, I stupidly tried to re-do my article with the same name... I REALLY want to publish this article and am doing the due-diligence work this time!

Finally, I did not understand the the alerts placed on my talk page and did not respond/overlooked them.

I'm hoping I won't make a fatal error on my next attempt to publish and would greatly appreciate your guidance...

Many thanks!

If I wasn't in a rush out, I'd give a more direct answer to your question, but I'm sure someone will be along soon. Right now I see a rough draft in your userspace: User:Bonnie0718/Tabby's Place: A Cat Sanctuary. While heart-breakingly cute, it reads a bit too much at the moment like a puff piece to be encyclopedic. You might want to see WP:FIRST. Again, I wish I could write more (my cat next to me does as well), but I have places to be. Can someone else contribute help to Bonnie? Magog the Ogre (talk) 14:23, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, Magog, I was before this edit conflict arose:

Hi. What is Tabby's Place? If you could explain a bit what it is, it can help me. Thanks. --Imagine Wizard (talk contribs count) Iway amway Imagineway Izardway. 14:25, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've just seen the link for your draft article, I'll have a look at that.--Imagine Wizard (talk contribs count) Iway amway Imagineway Izardway. 14:26, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
P.s. If you want, you could come onto our live help chat here (http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=wikipedia-en-help), and I can help you real-time. Thanks! --Imagine Wizard (talk contribs count) Iway amway Imagineway Izardway. 14:25, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to me that your article seems to be like an advert. For a variety of reasons. 2 of the main ones are:
  1. A number of sources aren't WP:Reliable sources. E.g. YouTube, Wikipedia (we don't self-cite) and Tabby's Place's own website.
  2. If I read it, it appears to be a leaflet. It has detailed information on a number of cats. This to me is advertising 'Look, we take in all sort of cats, here are a some', the sort of thing you get on a TV advert. Each cat is not notable enough to be mentioned individually.

If you can re-evaluate your article, you can resubmit it following the instructions on the page. If you need further help, simply replace the template above with {{helpme}}, or come to our live chat here.

I hope this helps --Imagine Wizard (talk contribs count) Iway amway Imagineway Izardway. 14:55, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bonnie, I've made a few (major-ish) changes to the live article, removing most of the individual cats' stories, fixing some references, spelling, working with wording, tone, reorganizing information, etc. I have also done something elsewhere, which I hope will result in a little surprise for you in maybe a week or so (hopefully; if it doesn't happen, no big deal, but if it does, you should be pleasantly surprised). fetch·comms 04:20, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:TabbysPlaceLobby1.jpg missing description details

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:TabbysPlaceLobby1.jpg is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you.  ono  06:21, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Tabby's Place

[edit]

The DYK project (nominate) 06:03, 21 September 2010 (UTC)

Congratulations! This is the surprise I was mentioning earlier. /ƒETCHCOMMS/ 12:45, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:TabbysPlaceLobby 1.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --ARTEST4ECHO (talk|contribs) 14:58, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
