2021 CONIFA European Football Cup

[edit]

The 2020 European Football Championship, officially UEFA Euro 2020, was previously scheduled for June 12 to July 12, 2020, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic sweeping Europe, UEFA has decided to postpone it from one year, from June 11 to July 1. 11, 2021. Its name "UEFA Euro 2020". The ConIFA 2021 European Football Cup is the same, the tournament has just been postponed for a year (July 9-19, 2021, July 3-12, 2022). Why has the title of the article been changed? This ConIFA competition is like the UEFA competition, it changes date but the title of the article remains the same. Sincerely. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Durante Inferno (talkcontribs) 22:55, 5 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Did you see the source I cited. Unlike the UEFA tournament - CONIFA have chosen to rename their whole competition. Bored0stiff (talk) 10:36, 6 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I am unsure why you deleted a valid row from the career stats - now restored. GiantSnowman 09:48, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Has he not just left on a season-long loan without playing a game for Livingston this season? Apologies if I misunderstood, but I thought that is what just happened when reading the source. Bored0stiff (talk) 09:57, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but we still keep the parent season in, otherwise it is not apparent where he is on loan from, and if he returns to Livingston next season, there will be a gap! GiantSnowman 14:18, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I've learned something new there, I've seen a few players in the past with a gap like that, so didn't think it was a problem. I'll keep that in mind for the future, thanks. Bored0stiff (talk) 14:26, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

FA Youth Cup Help

[edit]

Hi Bored0stiff. This is Logan Z Man 2022! I was wondering if at any possible times you could help me out with creating FA Youth Cup Pages. I started 2022-2023, and I've been wanting to do the previous 4 from 2018-2022. and I was wondering if you or any other football contributors could help. Please respond as soon as possible. Here is the link to 2022-2023. 2022–23 FA Youth Cup Logan Z Man 2022! Logan Z Man 2022! (talk) 01:01, 26 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, sure - I'd be happy to help out. I presume that you're just using the articles for the regular FA Cup as a template? Bored0stiff (talk) 15:11, 26 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
A little bit yes. Logan Z Man 2022! (talk) 15:21, 26 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the 2021-2022 page. That saved me some time. Logan Z Man 2022! (talk) 21:48, 26 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No worries, that Youth Hawk site is a good resource. Just as a heads up, when you're doing scores and stuff - you're supposed to use a "–" rather than a "-". So, like 2–1 rather than 2-1. Just a minor thing. Bored0stiff (talk) 23:15, 26 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. The only hard part is trying to get to the qualifying and preliminary rounds as there are hundreds of teams playing there. I would recommend using the FA Trophy and Vase template for doing those phases. Logan Z Man 2022! (talk) 23:25, 26 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Man thanks for adding the Rounds for the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 FA Youth Cup. That was really helpful. Sorry you had to spend some of Christmas Eve doing this. Have fun with your family. Again, I wanted to thank you again for helping me out with the Youth Cup Pages. Merry Christmas. Logan Z Man 2022! (talk) 14:48, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No worries! Likewise! Have a nice Christmas! Bored0stiff (talk) 14:53, 24 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hey um someone over our 2020-2021 FA Youth Cup Page into a redirect and undid your revision. Restored revision 1125349057 by Onel5969 (talk): Restore redirect - not enough sourcing to show it passes WP:GNG or WP:VERIFY. And as per WP:BURDEN do not re-add unsourced material, as that is considered disruptive editing. Logan Z Man 2022! (talk) 21:20, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay the page is now sent in as a draft. Logan Z Man 2022! (talk) 22:35, 29 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into 2021–22 FA Youth Cup. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Liz Read! January 2023

[edit]

Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Tony Springett article, but I have found one and added it for you. Please try and remember to include sources yourself with future edits. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 20:03, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't add anything to that article - I only undid the childish valdalism that had been done. Any unsourced changes were there before me. Bored0stiff (talk) 21:09, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, 2023 Premier League Summer Series, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 10:22, 28 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, the source for the changes that I made is already listed. The only thing I admittedly did do, was forget to update the date. But as of now, the stats on there are innaccurate now. Bored0stiff (talk) 20:47, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
