Apology

[edit]

I would like to apologise for suggesting you were antisemetic [1], I had not been acquaninted with the policy on Wikipedia:No personal attacks, which is my shortcoming--naturally I should have known about it. There has been much vandalism on the article, and I have no excuse to attack you personally... all I can say is that I was very upset that day. There is enough antisemitism on Wikipedia as it is and I am sure you can appricate that some Jewish people can very easily become inflamed by comments that might seem mild. Happy holidays, - Abscissa 08:12, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That is funny that we each thought the other was an anti-Semite... in a very not funny way! Wikipedia is almost a cess pool of racism, ignorance, and hatred... the history of virtually any article demonstrates my point. Thankfully, there are enough people out there to revert articles and revert the edits of these anonymous Jew-hating racists. I am torn beteween declaring this fortunate--or unfortunate, that not enough people realise how prevelant this problem presently is in the world today. In any event, chag semeach! Happy passover! -Abscissa 16:26, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Admin Reserves

[edit]

Would it be a good idea to have Wikipedians who are known to be "Wiki citizens" to be part of what I call "The Admin Reserves" ? This is to handle the back log on WP:AN, for instance. The Admins appoint long standing Wiki-citizens AS "reserve Admins"/"Acting Admins" to handle this sort of thing, until the backlog is taken care of. Good Idea ? Martial Law 20:22, 12 April 2006 (UTC) :)[reply]

It's not a backlog on AN so much as just a lot of activity. Anyway, would you give these "Admin Reserves" admin rights - could they block, delete, etc? If so, then the community would want to put such people through RfA anyway, to establish that they are trusted enough to weild the tools. If not... if not, well, anybody's free to help out with requests and issues on AN, whether they are admins or not. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 20:39, 12 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
They'd be Acting Admins", just like ordinary Admins, and if they remain good citizens, that could be a permanent rank from which to advance from, to where The Boss is at on Wikipedia. Martial Law 23:54, 12 April 2006 (UTC) :)[reply]

Thank you for voicing your objections at Torchic's FAC, as you may have noticed, Kirill has given a complete copyedit, which hopefully has improved the article at the "clause and sentence" level. If you have further objections or comments on the content of the article it would be beneficial for the article if you could add them to the nomination page. We Belong Together

[edit]

Thank you for the edit. I've renominated the article once again for FA status, but at this point I have grown restless. I don't even like the song very much... oh well! I'll keep at it, are there any suggestions that you would like to point out? —Eternal Equinox | talk 15:44, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I saw the renomination, that's what drew my attention to it. Me, I've never heard the song, or if I have, I didn't know what I was listening to. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 16:22, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That is one of the only mainstream songs I am surprised you have not heard (most of the other stuff on the radio these days is... yeah). It doesn't matter though. I did see the scatterplot graph, I'm just unsure if it should be included in the article. It looks... well... different. Do you suggest I give it a try? What if the opposers find this one even more appauling? —Eternal Equinox | talk 23:41, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Grapes, this may be picky, but would it be possible for you to change the colour of either the UK or New Zealand shape? Since both are close in hue (orange and pink), it looks a bit confusing. You don't have to; I'd appreciate it if you did. —Eternal Equinox | talk 23:49, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
But I'm not colour-blind. Orange and pink, remember? ;P
I'm just asking this so that others are not confused. —Eternal Equinox | talk 23:53, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, you'll have to excuse me. My apologies. Yes, it is better. —Eternal Equinox | talk 23:58, 17 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I hereby award Bunchofgrapes the "Surreal Barnstar" by acting as a wildcard and supplying We Belong Together with an excellent scatterplot. Much thanks! —E.E.
You're welcome. Thanks for the barnstar! —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 01:03, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'd agree with the point on HeyNow10029, primarily because she has been rude to me, and I attempted to remain civil for quite the period of time, but here is where I lost it. Bishonen I won't comment on, because I know you're her friend. I just don't know why she insists that I have to be followed around since she believes I am the hands of HW. Oh, why bother mentioning this, you do as well. But I'd agree with you on HeyNow. —Eternal Equinox | talk 01:38, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Bishonen's not following you around, she's following the FACs -- like she always has. It shouldn't surprise you -- no, it can't surprise you -- when she calls you on behavior unbecoming a FAC-nominator. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 02:13, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Further scatterplots?

[edit]

Would it be possible if you could create a further scatterplot? Since you helped to provide an easier-to-read graph at We Belong Together, I suppose it would be reasonable to do the same at Cool (song). —Eternal Equinox | talk 01:35, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I thought you were on an extended wiki-break? I'll do it if I get a chance. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 03:26, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Strong Personal Attacks

[edit]

Hello, since you are my expert on strong personal attacks ;-) I am hoping you can give me some guidance here. User:Conrad Devonshire has nominated list of shock sites for AFD after it survived an AFD vote with speedy keep one week ago. He also has the following information on his talk page:

  • "I was born in Austin, Texas, USA on April 28, 1989."
  • "I am in many ways what many (including many Christians) would term "ultraconservitive" (though I naturally believe that I am just conservative enough)."
  • "Though I consider myself intelligent, I admit that I am not in a perfect state of mental health, and have a few mental issues which I for the most part, have under control."
  • "I believe that today's society is corrupt for the most part and that people today are tools of society's corruption for the most part."
  • "I consider the media to be to partially blame for the corruption of today's youth (though I also consider, their parents, their teachers, and THEMSELVES to play a part in it)."
  • "I believe that so-called "feminism" has destroyed virtually any and all appeal that the female sex once had."

I would like to post this information as part of a comment in the AFD discussion, as I think it is relevant to why he keeps trying to remove the page as part of a personal crusade, but I just wanted to check with you that that this is kosher. - Abscissa 03:20, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Since he is born in 1989 why is he talking about todays youth in the third person? Here is my unsolicited advice. Mention the user page and link to it rather than paste this information into the AfD. That way, people can read it for themsleves and it seems less antagonistic. David D. (Talk) 04:59, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I am not a maths expert, but I am fairly sure this makes him 17. I am not quite sure what he means that feminism "has destroyed virtually any and all appeal the female sex once had." How he puts himself in the third person and concludes that the youth are corrupted, etc. -- don't ask me. Maybe we should put Socrates on trial again? Really, the reader can draw his own conclusions about these paranoid claims. However, what is known is that some "conservatives" like this represent an anti-Israel agenda, as suggested here... as to whether this person does or not, I cannot say. - Abscissa 06:01, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you!

What a pretty girl, thank you so much! I hope you don't think me ungrateful if I generally use the small version that you see here in my sig. • Feb 3, 2006: [2] - Asking User:Bishonen "Can I get you to help me with a mediation I'm conducting at Talk:Neuro-linguistic programming? I stepped in with an outside view and was immediately personally attacked. I need some administrator firepower watching my back while I do this. Also, since I'm planning on becoming an administrator once I have more experience on wikipedia, having one watch my first mediation attempt would be helpful knowledge for me." This is kind of what I mean by "looking for trouble": looking to mediate a very controversial page and shortly calling in potential allies with "firepower".
I decided to be bold and attempt to help informally mediate something. I actually didn't know it was in arb-com at the time, and in my eyes the mediation actually proceeded fairly well through the point where the arbcom mentors took over and have sinced moved the process along much faster. If you'll notice, they had to resort to multiple blocks with the problem users. I, not having that option, did my best to maintain civility and policy on that page, and I don't think that I slipped there at all. I'm not sure how mediation is "relishing conflict". • Feb 16, 2006: [3] Taking issue with the idea that sometimes the best thing to do with a blocked user deleting talk page warnings is to let that page lie quiet for a while to allow the situation to cool down.
And in that user's case, they did, in fact, proceed to make a second account, make the EXACT same edits they were blocked for, and was caught on RFCU by me. See User:Get-back-world-respect, and User:Nameme. The name was something like "Ineedaname" or something like that. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 04:16, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • February 23, 2006: [4] and [5] responds to (probably misplaced) criticism with an extremely hostile response. Politely asked to avoid personal attacks, Swatjester responds that they "Don't need to snap at me about it." (apologies and some strikeouts would follow, so that's good.)
Indeed, I was uncivil, and crossed the line there. Avriette and I have had our misunderstandings, as I mentioned in question 3. Once I took a step back, I then apologized as noted. Avriette and I, since then, are (slowly) working together on RSTA, and have completely overcome any differenecs we had with each other. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 04:16, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • March 8, 2005:
    • 01:59 Tells user:Postdlf, on his talk page that his behavior was "highly inappropriate." (I don't entirely disagree, FWIW, though the situation isn't clear-cut).
    • 02:03 (four minutes later) Writes up the incident on AN/I in the form of what -- to me -- appear to be rhetorical questions.
    • Android79 responds on AN/I: ":Here's a hint: next time you see an admin do something "inappropriate", use their talk page to sort things out first. If you don't get an adequate response, then bring it here."
    • SwatJester responds that "I did bring this to his talk page first", ignoring the part about waiting for a response, and states "The only reason it is on this page is to get a clarification as to whether I'm correct as to the issue I'm bringing up on his talk page." If that was the only goal, it seems like Swatjester should have asked some admin he knew for clarification, rather than bringing the incident to the attention of world + dog.
This one's pretty clear cut. I thought I was in the right. I "did" as mentioned bring it up also on his talk page, but since it was in my opinion a highly inappropriate action, I brought it up on AN/I as well for clarification. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 04:16, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not going to build a second front of the arbitration against Monicasdude, outside the arbitration page. I did not initiate the conflict with Monicasdude...Monicasdude did, and as my polite requests were denied, I proceeded to dispute resolution as any editor should do. That's not me looking for conflict, and based on the arbitration evidence I"m not the only one that feels this way. This is,however, the last I'll say about monicasdude outside the arbitration page. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 04:16, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I do appreciate your concerns Bunchofgrapes, and if you have any more questions about my behavior, I'd be more than happy to address them. SWATJester Ready Aim Fire! 04:20, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re- Removal of my entries to misleading foods list.

[edit]

Sir, I wish to take issue with you on your removal of the several items I added to the misleading foods list. I added them in good faith because I felt that all the items I supplied, with maybe the exception of Eggplant, were misleading. If these items remain deleted from the list, then I will also take to removing various other items such as Elephant Ears, since that is just as bad as Chicken Nuggets...

I do not see what was wrong with Mars Bar (It does not come from Mars, therefore is misleading) in the same way Bounty Bar is misleading (extremely small, nowhere near a bounty.

Fish Fingers... Misleading - Fish do not have fingers.

Do you see what I am getting at???

I will not revert them for now, but a lot of those entries are just as silly as the ones I added. Would you not agree? Thor Malmjursson 13:15, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

August(an) help

[edit]

I want to pitch in at Drury Lane and carry my weight, but real life work is a very deep set of weeds just now. I'll be shed of most of my obligations in about 3 weeks, and I'll definitely contribute what I am able at that point -- stuff you may have already gotten from John Rich (producer), Augustan drama, and Henry Carey (writer). Meanwhile, I'm still researching the relationships between DL, Lincoln's Inn Fields, Covent Garden, and Haymarket. Geogre 15:06, 22 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Tease, tease, tease: I'm reading a Martin Battestin biography of Fielding right now (really sadly not what I had hoped for), and it has him as a dramatist and provides background on the playhouses of his day. This is going to be great for my effort at writing a stub on Little Theatre, Haymarket, but it also gives me some 1730 information on Drury Lane. Again, I'll get to helping as soon as the semester ends (next week). If you don't want to wait, check out the Battestin Fielding biography, around page 84. It's pretty easy to find at a reputable library (but don't buy it). Geogre 00:51, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, this is in regards to Theatre Royal, Drury Lane (which you seem to have worked on a lot). I noticed that the references are a bit ... unwieldy. Specifically, you have some Ibids in there when really all you need to be doing is using name parameters with <ref> to create multiple links to the same reference note. Also, this doesn't have the problem with the Ibid system, which is that, if a ref is inserted in some places, the Ibid suddenly refers to the wrong thing. --Cyde Weys 03:14, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks BoG, not a page I had planned to write, but yesterday someone was going through every page I have written with the word mistress in, and decanting it off to Intimate relationship. "FFS" I have an intimate relationship with my mother-in-law, but she's certainly not my mistress (I promise - on my honour), so when I had finished vomiting at the bourgeois expression I was left with little choice but to write it myself. Please feel free to join the mammoth job of reversion now needed, I have done a few dozen today bit I think a truck has run over the telephone cables again as the internet here is slower than ever. Thanks for the barnstar. Giano | talk 18:59, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I know; I saw the conversation of your talkpage, and you were in the right, but did yourself proud indeed with the new page. I didn't have the energy to say so at the time. I'll help out with the relinking later today, sure. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 19:06, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I did about 40 of them. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 21:49, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh well done! Your edit summary amazed me (→Sexy ladies - I did about 40 of them.) I had not idea you had such stamina. While you were doing perfoming such athletics, I've had a far more mundane evening at the theatre for an evening of culture; well the local town hall to be precise. Hedda Gabler - never an easy play when performed in Sicilian dialect by elderly amateurs, but an interesting and memorable pefomance nebertheless! We kept a straight face to the end. Giano | talk 22:28, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Masochistic bunch you Sicilians are, I guess. I'm sticking to my 40 sexy ladies. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 23:28, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
40 year old sexy ladies? Phone numbers! I need phone numbers! (Actually, one of you needs to put in information about the courtesans of Florence, who were, in the early renaissance, a dream of the Turk's harem and the courtly love noble lady ("fin amour" in OF). They learned singing, dancing, literature, rhetoric, and sex, and their expectations were prostitution and then being kept by a man of sufficient rank. I did the tawdries of 18th c. London, but Bish needs to see if I lied about Richardson's girls.) Geogre 03:26, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
The Richardson girls are fine, Geogre. I added Jane Eyre, which is having an enlivening catfight with Giano's 19th-century section. :-P Bishonen | talk 11:23, 30 April 2006 (UTC).[reply]
  • I wouldn't think Jane Eyre would have been a very satisfactory mistress, far too poe faced and good - give me Anna Karenina anyday. What I don't understand about the whole biusiness though, and you, as a beautiful woman, Bishonen will surely know the answer, is why the women of today want to have jobs, getting up in the morning, working etc. When they could just stay in bed all day and be "kept". Were I a woman I would have no problem being "kept", in fact, should any woman offer to keep me now - I think I could endure the hardship. Giano | talk 11:40, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, Giacomo! You know the only reason I've been able to resist El C's very (I must admit) tempting offers, is because you've promised to consider me the next time a vacancy arises in your harem! Bishonen | talk 11:49, 30 April 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Tuborg is the beer of Danish kings. Carlsberg is the beer of Swedish drunks. (And I have photos of myself, but they don't match my online persona at all.) Geogre 02:16, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Tuborg is real!?? I would have sworn that was from the Simpsons. It should be. Carlsberg is Danish too. Swedish beer apparently includes such worldwide favorites as Pripps Blå and Spendrups. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 02:22, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Ah-ha, I see Düff is the Beer of Danish Kings. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 02:25, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Tuborg is definitely real. It used to be one of my favorites, before I started drinking Carlsberg, which I liked because they named each brew according to the animal it was capable of stunning. I liked Carlsberg "Elephant." "Jaguar" was too wimpy for me -- almost as low an alcohol as Tuborg. I thought I'd had Swedish beer, as I made a conscious effort to sample the waters of all nations, but I guess I missed the yellow and blue beers. Geogre 10:32, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
If you drank less beer, and more chianti you wold have smaller stomachs, thus less chance of capsizing a gondola. Which is why (with all modesty) those of us of a Latin disposition have more success in certain.......er..departments. Now if you will excuse I have something to continue; come my little Baroque cherubim, little cactus flower of the dawn.......Giano | talk 08:47, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Giano, it's not the size of your stomach that's posing a clear and present danger of capsizing little your love boat, it's the size of your head! (the certain departments "those of you with a latin disposition" have more success in include braggadacio and bluster and that's about it). Bishi, dump this windy lothario and go with someone that won't call you a baroque cherubim. ++Lar: t/c 12:20, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hahha! I see it all! Some one seems very worried, and very worried indeed indeed about size and proportions. I say nothing to you! Come my little Floral Gothic sweat pea, let us leave this place, and return to out haven of love and tranquility! Giano | talk 12:27, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
"Sweat pea" ??? If either of you are breaking a sweat, you're doing something wrong. Too much wine, perhaps? And I have no worries about the size of MY head, I already know it's quite large, just ask me and I shall tell you all about it. It's YOURS I'm worried about. ++Lar: t/c 15:14, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Winos are bums, Giano. Beer drinkers are gangs. Geogre 10:32, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Football hooligans I think you mean... ++Lar: t/c 12:20, 1 May 2006 (UTC) (PS Lar is willing to drink beer of just about any sort if someone else is buying... even Tiger although the infidels in Singapore serve it on ice)[reply]
This is why American football is better. Get drunk, get rowdy, and then run at each other at full speed and break bones; that way all the natural Aggressinols in beer are released harmlessly. This compared to wine, where one either develops a sudden urge to drink Aqua Velva or Skin Bracer or to inhale noisily and dismiss one's companions as "riff raff" -- both profoundly antisocial results. (Worst beer I've consumed in this world was Jax Beer at $1.75/six 12 oz. cans. It should have been served on ice -- dry ice, preferrably -- to numb the tongue and palate of the drinker.) Geogre 16:09, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Better for the players perhaps, but true football hooliganism happens in the stands, or even well away from the pitch (on the ferry on the way to Holland or whatever). As for Jax beer: this site (lacking a WP article to source! I can't believe it... someone should write one!) seemes to indicate it stopped being made in the 1950's! That somehow doesn't quite fit my preconceived notions of how old you are! Where I went to school, we used to have a UP 6 pack: 2 heinies, 2 millers and two leinies... by the time you got to the leinies you couldn't taste the difference, or so the wags said. That Leinenkugel has now been positioned as a premium beer instead of swill boggles my mind, but I digress.++Lar: t/c 17:23, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Poor reading comprehension, Lar... the site says it stopped being made locally in '56, but was sold and continues to be made today... I think. And from the makers of Pearl beer no less! Good stuff. <gag/> —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 17:29, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I had Jax Beer in 1980. I have not had it since, as even I am capable of learning from an experience that traumatic. I had it in New Orleans, when I was a freshman at Tulane University (before you needed a snorkel to go to class). However, for ironies, Schlitz beer went out of business, but Pabst Blue Ribbon is now being positioned as a boutigue beer for yuppies without a clue and yankees and westerners. (Then again, kids in Chapel Hill used to drink Olympia and think it a good beer.) American football's safety valve is that it is amazingly violent, and therefore the rowdies in the stands get to vicariously live out their hatred of themselves and their spouses by watching someone decapitate another person. Not quite as good as Australian Rules Football, in that regard, but plenty vicious all the same. Whereas soccer is so boring, even the mildest person has to be tempted to smash a chair, just so something will finally happen. Geogre 18:39, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There's just a large number of amazingly bad beers being repositioned, wouldn't you say? I think you may be right about football, much as it may pain me to admit it. But I've found types of soccer that are fun to watch... skilled older adolescents playing indoor soccer well make for an amazingly entrancing game. But I digress. I want to get back to why Bishi has such appallingly cliched bad taste in paramours... ++Lar: t/c 00:00, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Pabst Blue Ribbon was never as bad as the company it kept (redneck), but some other praised beers (they're foreign, so they have to be good), like Fosters Beer, are just the Australian Budweiser (while Budweiser overseas is almost beer), and some of the venerable prestige brands, like Heineken, are good middle of the road beers with little actual character. Bass Ale remains good, and Newcastle Brown Ale is worthwhile, and all the microbrews in the US are churning out rather identically "different" beers. The Belgian lambics and weissens are tasty but rather specialized brews. Ummm...right, Bish and her many lovers. I think she's just being a tease, and Giano's tasting the dish before it's on the plate. Of course it is the acquiring that is the thrill, according to William Congreve, and new mistresses are gotten like new friends: by disparaging the old ones. Geogre 02:24, 2 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We were so close in getting FA status, but we were waiting on reviewers to re-review the article. When and how can the article be nominated again? Ccson 04:34, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What I meant above was that all the changes requested had been addressed, however; the vaious users did not have the time to verify and strike thru that there changes had been met. There's nothing left to be done but wait for strike or addition feedback. Hopefully they will review the current article and strike thru so we'll be ready. I will wait a week before renominating. I thought you had already archived the prior nomination. Am I to archive the page that's been archived? thanks Ccson 16:49, 1 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I came to thank you for the comment you just left on my talk page, which seemed to be friendly. I'll assume it was said as a friendly gesture. Thanks for that. Then I saw what you said to me (above) concerning my block day, and got irritated again. (I never read that comment before.):
You really made good use of those links, I see. I predict a short career at Wikipedia for you, I'm afraid. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 19:07, 25 April 2006 (UTC)

What did you mean by made good use of those links? and
I predict a short career at Wikipedia for you, I'm afraid.?

You, along with Swatjester are the ones who actually propelled my getting blocked to begin with. What I said to Merecat on his page was nobody's business but Merecat's and mine. And yet, it was known in an instance by all these people. You provoked me by saying this:
The above rant is offensive in the extreme. Bishonen is one of our most-trusted users, and the amount of goodwill you burn up by comparing her to a Nazi Stormtrooper is... amazing. Then later you said: I suspect people have shown you these links before: Wikipedia:Civility. Wikipedia:No personal attacks. meta:Don't be a dick. You really need to read them. —Bunchofgrapes (talk) 18:27, 25 April 2006 (UTC) My response was a natural one under the circumstances. I got blocked. You walked free as a bird. If you don't know the circumstances of something then don't make igonorant comments about it.

There has been a lot of deleting done on my page recently not done by me. I'm not saying you did the deleting. But it was done by someone who is trying to tear me down by tearing my comments down, and make you and others look good.

I'm not sure what your game is Bunchofgrapes, because I don't know you personally very well, and I'm just beginning to learn about wikiland.

I still find you hostile and mostly distasteful. Please feel free to comment on this comment and to answer my questions. thewolfstar 03:31, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bunchofgrapes, thank you for the apologies. That shows honor. And thank you for making me laugh, you have a sense of humor, and that is always commendable in a person. And thanks also for reading what I wrote, and answering it honestly. That in itself shows courage and integrity.

I apologize to you also. Not so much for what I said, but for the opinion I had formed of you. This opinion was obviously unfair because you have shown yourself to be a worthy person, and a good hearted and funny one.

I feel friendly to you now and wouldn't mind if we remained on a friendly basis, if that's alright with you. Thanks and peace Maggiethewolfstar 04:29, 3 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

some questions and stuff

[edit]

Hi Bunchofgrapes, just to get this over with, before I ask technical questions..Bishonen actually did attack me by refusing to see what I was trying to tell her. There is more way than one to be uncivil. A refusal to be helpful and kind when someone is appealing to you for help is uncivil, whether it breaks wiki rules or not. Actually it does break wiki ettiquette that clearly clarifies on many pages how to treat a newcomer. The only way to know what I am talking about is to go back to the entire incident between Bishonen and myself, and I don't expect you or anyone to do that. Also, I know that Bishonen has good in her. I found that out later. Consensus can be a good thing and it can be an indication of nothing, also.

But I'd like to forget about Bishonen and ask you some questions if it's okay.

I know about the logs but still find them confusing at times. I have reverted some comments back that were deleted. I think I am using the word 'revert' correctly, no? question: how do I restore all deletions to the talk page? Is there a simple way I can do this? Thanks for your help, Bunchofgrapes. Hi, sorry to bug you, and feel free to ignore if you're not interested, but I found your comments on the recent Cape Horn FAC so helpful that I wondered if you would be interested in looking over the Sunday Times Golden Globe Race FAC. I feel that this is an interesting article; it currently has a couple of "support" votes, but seems to be suffering from a lack of interest. Bunchofgrapes, I wasn't aware that talk pages did not apply to the Wikipedia policy which I had read (or I merely forgot or something — whatever the case). I didn't intend to bother her in any way, I was just explaining some details about an image, but she became critical. I understand now, so thank you very much for clearing the situation. However, in advance, please don't accuse me of bothering her since I was incorrect, but once again, thank you much for the notification. —Eternal Equinox | talk 20:07, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You're very rude — has anyone told you that yet? I don't expect stupidity when I am attempting to answer a question for somebody; if one requires eluciation, I provide it. I don't wish for an uncivil spiral of giggling and chuckling which doesn't make sense. Please remain civil. I think it is a good thing that I've been making as little contact with your group of friends as possible. Now I ask of you — such as HeyNow placed on my talk page — please do not respond to this.
