Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Hishofuji Hiroki, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 11:37, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on Keita Kawazoe requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. • You added a reference to the above article, but I can't find any mention of the subject at the website.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:22, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It’s the official sumo website just open it then type in Miyagino beya then I shows you that Hakuho is oyakata and that Kiho is a member. Do I need to find a way we’re it admittedly opens to the Miyagino home page I don’t think it’s possible CARLOSM704 (talk) 20:56, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I assume you mean that the page that mentions Kiho is a subpage that you can't link to directly? The problem is it's a very "busy"/cluttered page, and I have to run a machine translation on it. It just isn't easy. Perhaps you can find another source to support the article?--Bbb23 (talk) 21:15, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oh I can just like his personal rikishi page to the citation I put and that would be enough it in English to? CARLOSM704 (talk) 01:39, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! I saw that you created the page for Kihō, since I'm part of the WikiProject: Sumo I invite you to join us :)
I would just like to make a few comments on the article created, which does not meet, as of now, the notability requirements for athletes on Wikipedia. Simply quoting Kihō's profile on the JSA website doesn't help, at the very least a newly created article should have at least 4 or 5 articles from independant reliable sources. I would recommend consulting Japanese sports newspapers (such as NHk, Nikkan Sports, Sports Hochi, Sports Nippon or Sankei Sports) to find elements. You can also draw inspiration from biographies of jūryō wrestlers like Tsushimanada Masamitsu, Rōga Tokiyoshi or even makuuchi Hakuōhō Tetsuya, whose introduction I noticed you had partly taken up.
In any case, I wouldn't object to deleting the article as it stands, at the very least it should be redirected to a Draft space. Don't hesitate to come back to me if you have any questions, I know it's a lot of information all at once and sometimes it may seems discouraging, but Wikipedia has strict quality standards and we've all been there :)
    Cheers! - OtharLuin (talk) 07:01, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Could you guys from the wiki project sumo help me with the Kiho biography? CARLOSM704 (talk) 09:51, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Carlos, I've removed the BLPPROD tag I placed on the article. I've also moved the article to Draft:Kihō Tomotaka so you can work on it. When you think it's ready for article space, please use WP:AFC to submit it for review. Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:18, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Bbb, which is also what I would have proposed. Carlos, normally, we only make this kind of modification in our sandboxes or in draft space. I'm obviously going to lend a hand in creating the article since Kihō is apparently well on his way to staying in jūryō and was well on his way to having his own article. For further examples you could also look on this draft I did for Shishi Masaru - OtharLuin (talk) 14:53, 17 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've added as much content as necessary, and I think I've covered his amateur career and juryo debut pretty well. I don't think there's much more to add, except in his makushita career, but there probably won't be much relevant content. I'm leaving the Draft in waiting mode for you to see when you want to submit it. See you soon! - OtharLuin (talk) 12:35, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Do you want me to submit it? And also you guys did a great job I had never realized how hard it actually is to write a Wikipedia article. CARLOSM704 (talk) 19:04, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
With the latest addition I've made, I think I've completed the tour of available sources for the moment. There will probably be more in future articles.
Articles need to be better and better informed, a stub needs at least 4-5 sources to be considered notable these days, which can be heartbreaking seeing the state of some articles. I think you now have a good idea of how to structure an article on a wrestler :) You can submit the draft, after all I didn't start it - OtharLuin (talk) 19:12, 18 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
