Edit count

See when you enter your edit count into your User page (you use "update" as your edit summary or something like that), do you include that edit in your count? just came into my head --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 21:24, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

2525 isn't round! "2,200+" (like mine), that's round! --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 23:29, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

License tagging for File:Glengoyne 17yr.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Glengoyne 17yr.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 16:05, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Re: That other guy

Haha, that's really weird. I left him a message saying we have similar sig's. Conversation probably can't go much further than that though. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 03:17, 28 December 2008 (UTC)

RE: WP:SPIRITS

haha, the only thing i know about spirits is that Southern Comfort tastes nice.

I would watch out if i was you though, I'm pretty sure that you can get shut down for having less than five members. Did you bring it to the WikiProject Council before you started? In the Proposals section they have ways of finding you other members really quickly. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 00:21, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

PS. Interesting message above. Did you do that? --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 00:22, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
I've added my name to the project. Best of luck with the break. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 16:03, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with File:01 Hell March.ogg

Thanks for uploading File:01 Hell March.ogg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

NPOV?

Hello Don't get me wrong, I've not contributed to this page, I'm just curious as to what NPOV is. I do work for the Jets & have spotted several errors on the page already & will endeavour to get them sorted. Can you inform me what exactly you have issue with? Cheers

Hey, please log in before posting comments and remember to sign them with ~~~~ so I can reply on your talk page. I'm not sure what article you are referring to either. To read up on Wikipedia's policy's Neutral Point Of View see WP:NPOV -- Cabe6403 (TalkSign!) 20:52, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Me again

Hey, i was looking up stuff while i was studying and i found out that WebCT has a wiki page :P --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 15:27, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Yeah everything's going ok, worried about certain subjects obviously! I don't think anyone CES-wise has organised anything, or if anyone will, feel free if you wish :P its only like 10 days till the first one! As for back at uni dates, CES bible says 26 January is the first week. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 17:05, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Despair indeed, we have one every two days, up until a four day stretch of one every day. Thats not including wherever EET is getting thrown in, considering that's not up on my pegasus yet! --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 18:17, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Electronic and Electrical Theory? You wrote a page on it.
And start signing your comments! You're making the place look messy. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 18:57, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

I made this

Ha! --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 05:08, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

Genuinely couldn't have told you that. I just transcluded it (and on the page it shows up as ~~~ anyways so that would have never worked). I've fixed it now. Its going to get taken down i'm pretty sure though, Template:Kitten has already been deleted before... --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 15:46, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

I know you second opionioned it, but how did you feel about the article in general? Just curious.--What!?Why?Who? (talk) 20:38, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

I felt the article was GA material to be honest, I just wanted someone with more experience to have a look at it and see if I'd missed something, it being my first GA review. Your thoughts? --Cabe6403 (TalkSign!) 23:11, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
Good! I'm glad you like it.--What!?Why?Who? (talk) 01:54, 9 January 2009 (UTC)

re:Rogue Squadron GA review

Sure thing, I'll take a more detailed look tomorrow. -- Sabre (talk) 23:59, 7 January 2009 (UTC)

All done, I mainly focused on the images, as most of the rest seems fine. Feel free to pass the article. -- Sabre (talk) 15:56, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
I've been a little too busy recently to conduct any other GA reviews, plus I've never reviewed an article such as that. I may be able to do it, but not for a while: I'm rather busy in real life at the moment, but by then someone else might have reviewed it. -- Sabre (talk) 13:05, 12 January 2009 (UTC)

I think your archiver is broke. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 02:18, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Cool, i'll get on that at Neilston. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 02:40, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
1979? Holy hell. And i'll definately need to be taking a look at Newton (South Lanarkshire) rail accident at some point! See you tomorrow. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 02:55, 8 January 2009 (UTC)

Hi,

Sorry to disturb you. We'the finalized version of the new Wikipedia:Sock puppet investigation page (a long-planned merger of WP:Suspected sock-puppets and WP:Requests for CheckUser) is being done as we speak. But you appear to have used the planned unused shortcut, by a coicidence of timing.

The SPI page will be heavily used and referenced. We probably should have pointed the redirect at it earlier, which would have saved asking. Would you mind very much considering whether the Spirits WikiProject might allow it to be used for this project page instead, as the most likely memorable shortcut for a well-used process?

Thanks and appreciated if so!

I note that you have placed an article for deletion tag on this page that I created only afew minutes ago. I think you should give this page time, like on Norwich park and ride. That was going to be deleted, but it was made into a good page. Reply on my talk page. Dennisman (talk) 17:45, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

redirect WP:SPI

hi,

what made you think WikiProject Spiders is inactive? i now created WP:SPID for it instead, but a little post on the discussion page would have been nice. --Sarefo (talk) 12:42, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

The project seemed inactive from giving it a look over. The Sock Puppet Investigation people thought it was inactive too and where going to reuse the WP:SPI shortcut before Spirits even came along. SPI is more important that either project anyway. -- Cabe6403 (TalkSign!) 16:43, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
i'm just saying, next time leave a message somewhere. cheers! --Sarefo (talk) 17:44, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi and thanks for your note. I have replied on Talk:Glengoyne Distillery/GA2 in some depth. I don't object to the majority of the text in the article, which is generally at or about GA, apart from the marketing hype, e.g. "favoured" and "boasting". The main problem is that the majority of the article, as it currently exists, in respect of "page length" is little more than WP:SPAM. For a start, keep the text, keep the illustrations, but throw away those tables about "nose". I would urge that you look at other articles in Category:GA-Class Food and drink articles to see how these articles avoid being little more than spam. Your user page states that you are a student at Strathclyde University, use the library and use the Mitchell library - the distillery is only about 30 miles away; don't accept company hype uncritically. The Scottish whisky industry is discussed in Turnock, David (1979). The New Scotland (Industrial Britain), Newton Abbot: David & Charles and there are numerous references cited. When you have the ability to add local information, why base the article around third and forth-rate material that anyone can find using google or yahoo? Rob Roy hid 1,000 ft from our still, or the Lowland/Highland line goes through the middle of our site is a marketing angle and little more.

I'm willing to discuss it more, if needed, but I may not reply for a week or so.Pyrotec (talk) 15:49, 8 February 2009 (UTC)
