page move reverted

[edit]

Hello CandanceWillis I reverted a page move that you performed. You had moved page User talk:CandanceWillis/sandbox to CandanceWillis/sandbox: Moving draft to mainpage. The page that you wrote doesn't look like like you intended it to be an article in the encyclopedia as a subpage of an article about yourself. You can have such material in your user space, somewhere under User:CandanceWillis/course notes for example. Please let me know if you need help, or if you don't understand what I did. If you reply below I will see your response. Mduvekot (talk) 01:09, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I was woundering what happened to the original post I did. I'm not sure what happened? CandanceWillis (talk) 22:48, 9 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Benedetta Carlini

[edit]

Her life.

Benedetta Carlini became the Abbess of her convent and was also considered to be "Mother of God" roughly between 1619-1623 according to Judith Brown. Carlini was living with her family in a mountain town near Pescia. Her parents were said that they made a vow when Carlini was born that they wanted her to be part of the convent and took her there when she was nine years old. Not much is know about Benedetta and her family life but she came from a well off family with gave her the privilege of receiving an education. During the time period Carlini was living in women were not given many choices in their life, they were either married or part of the convent. It was also found that she was close with her father who was the contribution to Carlini education. Being a woman during this time becoming part of the convent was not an unusual thing but Benedetta was well educated before joining. Benedetta education helped her when it came to her process becoming the abbess at the age of 30. Becoming an abbess was not to uncommon for women but the few who did reach this level didnt get it until the later age of 40 or older. This knowledge could have been the reason she was able to convince many that she was more than human. She considered herself to be divine and said that God and other angels would speak to her. Judith Brown brings up that she was one of many women to have relationships with women but it was her education and her egotism that lead her to her future imprisonment.
