Hi, Cassiopeia. I hope you are staying safe. I am sorry to disturb you, but I have just recently written to Pahunkat asking him to help me with my CVUA training course. As far as I can see, he's been inactive since March, just as my previous trainer. I started my CVUA course some time ago, but unfortunately, my first trainer Puddleglum has been inactive for quite a remarkable time. I would like to request to help me finish my CVUA course off as I think that this course is quite useful. If you wish, you can take a look at my uncompleted training - here. Visioncurve I have run thought your history log and talk page and noticed that you were reported to ANI, blocked for edit warning and blocked for legal threat (personal attack) last year. The requirement of to participate in the program is 6 months after the block lifted including the time that you participate in the program. Thus if you want to re-participate to the program, we have to start from Assignment 1 again. Each trainer provide have their own program but many of the question (reading material) are the same across from all trainers. Being a counter vandalism editor, we encounter many personal attack from the editors who we place the warning message on their talk page, they troll, curse (all the disgusting words under the sky), they argue and they threaten. For such, we need to have the extra patient and cool head when dealing with them. I hope you have learnt your lessons (you are lucky to be unblocked actually), be calm, be nice, be patient and be polite "at all time" regardless who you deal with or who is at the wrong. Wikipedia is a planform to share knowledge, to collaboration with other editors and to educate those who are new to Wikipedia. I have never had a student who have so much behavior issues in the past. Thanks for your advice, Cassiopeia, I appreciate that. However, the blocks you mentioned in the beginning of your message actually were implemented more than two years ago, in May 2020. I learned my lesson once and for all and I have never edit warred again and managed to avoid all sorts of later provocation. Moreover, I collaborate positively now (at least that's my guess) with the editor with whom I had difficulties and as a result, was disciplined. But it's all in the past, and my first trainer Puddleglum was first to acknowledge that. I will never forget the kindness and belief she showed in me, which I in turn, now endeavor to show to others. By the way, I don't mind to start my CVUA training from the scratch as long as I can copy paste my previous answers just as you told me to do so in your previous message. Thank you!       • ListedBuildingsUKBot. Task/s: Add wikidata site links to appropriate wiki commons category pages for listed buildings with matching ID numbers. I've identified about 1000 entities that can be updated. e.g. [1] should have a wiki commons link to [2] since they both refer to [3].
  • Development
    • Lexicographical data:
      • We have finished most of the development on the new Special:NewLexeme page. You can try it at https://wikidata.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/Special:NewLexemeAlpha. We will make this available on Wikidata for testing with real-world data on July 14th.
      • We are continuing to work on the new search profile for languages to make setting the language of a new Lexeme easier (phab:T307869)
    • REST API: We are putting finishing touches on the first version of the API route to add statements to an Item. It is still lacking support for automated edit summaries.
    • We are working on word-level diffs to make it easier to see what changed in an edit (phab:T303317)
    • We are investigating the issue of labels not being shown after some merges (phab:T309445)

Changes later this week

  • The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 5 July. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 6 July. It will be on all wikis from 7 July (calendar).
  • Some wikis will be in read-only for a few minutes because of a switch of their main database. It will be performed on 5 July at 07:00 UTC (targeted wikis) and on 7 July at 7:00 UTC (targeted wikis).
  • The Beta Feature for DiscussionTools will be updated throughout July. Discussions will look different. You can see some of the proposed changes.
  • This change only affects pages in the main namespace in Wikisource. The Javascript config variable proofreadpage_source_href will be removed from mw.config and be replaced with the variable prpSourceIndexPage. [4]

Dr_vulpes Hi good day. As you know that NPPS do require a lot of reading and working on the assignment and it is much harder than CVUA. I can train you on CVUA but it might be a good idea to finish NPPS first then do CVUA or finish CVUA firth then continuing NPPS since doing both would take up a lot of you time. TUF seasons episode count missing on articles.

Hi there, I was just browsing the TUF 30 Wikipedia as I wanted to see how many episodes they were of the show this year however I can't find anywhere it say how many episodes there are? I know the page is very far from complete (it's actually quite far behind to be honest) however looking at previous seasons I also noticed that the amount of episodes info is missing from them ALL which I found quite surprising. As you know with any TV show on Wikipedia when you go into a specific season of a show it will list the amount of episodes in that season within the info box however for The Ultimate Fighter it never does and I feel this is important information for when people are referencing Wikipedia for whatever reason.


Some examples:

The Return of The Ultimate Fighter: Team Volkanovski vs. Team Ortega

The Ultimate Fighter: Heavy Hitters

The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate

The Ultimate Fighter: Undefeated

Every single one of them has no info on the amount of episodes per season like TV shows with pages always do in the info box.


Some examples:

Friends (season 10)

Friends (season 9)

Seinfeld (season 2)

The Walking Dead (season 6)

All these pages have "No. of episodes" in the info box.


I feel this is needed for all the seasons of TUF which are seen here: The Ultimate Fighter.

I don't even know myself the amount of episodes each season has had so I'm not sure where to source the info from however I really do feel this needs to be added. I myself was trying to find how many episodes per season for the Ultimate Fighter just now out of interest and couldn't find the info, which surprisingly I thought would have been easy on Wikipedia.

I wanted to kindly ask you as you are one of the best editors here and wasn't sure where to request this or maybe you can work on this?

UFC Beavis Sorry for the late repl. I had been sick and recovered and sick again. I am recovering at the moment, tiring on the sick mode for the last 3 weeks and have not been so sick for years. As to your questions - A few of the recent TUF except the last two, I add the sourced episodes info. What we can do is to add the those TUF without the episodes in. We always can find the source such as MMA Junkie for the recent TUF but I am not sure for the if we could find for the older TUF series. You can use the examples of The Ultimate Fighter: Heavy Hitters / TUF 28 if you want to add them in. If not I will do it in later stage. Let me know if anything else I could help. Stay safe and best. This paragraph is not endorsed by any competent authority in China and is violating the right to good name of the actress, placing it also in a visible part, where everyone when entering google, is reading it.

The info added by user "Ccdl" was sourced and it complies with Wikipedia WP:V guidelines. You are being blocked at the moment for threatening other user which is a serious violation of Wikipedia policy. There are a number of user have giving you some advice and pls read them again and the "links" provided for your own benefits if in case you are unblocked so you wont be making the same mistakes. Sorting out the infobox guidelines

Hi Cass. Following the discussion with Lewolka on the Kron Gracie tp, I think it's time to sort out the MMA Infobox guidelines.We need to be clear about the consensus that has formed over many years. For instance, only sourcing nicknames to Sherdog or ESPN, not using color boxes etc. What do you think? NEDOCHAN (talk) 09:11, 6 July 2022 (UTC)

NEDOCHAN, Good idea but only to Sherdog as ESPN is not independent source since they are associated to UFC. To say that, should many IRS (independent, reliable sources) sources could be found in long standing nickname such as Kron, then we would add the nickname to the info box if the fighter nicknames are not on the Sherdog fighter pages. ESPN doesn't publish the silly nicknames, though. So it's probably a good idea to put it forward, particularly given its status as a green RS. The point is that this should only be for their proper, original nickname. There needs to be some indication that it must come from a proper fighter profile and not just any use of a nickname anywhere.NEDOCHAN (talk) 12:36, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
NEDOCHAN, RS is one thing but also needs to be IS and ESPN is not IS for UFC fighters as they associates with UFC. We would go by Sherdog as the sources is IRS. Wikipedia policy is about verification, so if a nickname does not appear in Sherdog but in many IRS for years (such as Kron) we will accept it. Stay safe and best. Combining warnings

Hi Cassiopeia, when you warn a user for contributions to multiple articles, please don't make it look as if the user had been repeatedly warned after continuing. If you'd like to issue a level-1 warning for many articles at once, please just do so by adding more article links to the initial warning. Adding one, two, three, four, five, six, seven warnings with escalating levels at User talk:184.148.108.6 and then reporting them at AIV, without them having edited since your first warning, is pointless for the user and confusing to the reviewing administrators. Same for User talk:2405:3800:874:83BE:B8BE:4846:2DE:BFE3 and User talk:198.161.4.112, which contains successive warnings and were reported to AIV, again without the users having edited since. They haven't edited in the last three days and are thus relatively unsuitable for AIV. I'm blocking the latter because I'm applying a lower bar before blocking in case of clear BLP violations, but this should normally not have been reported at AIV either. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 07:47, 9 July 2022 (UTC)

User edit warring

Hiya, could you please report the editor that has been edit warring on UFC on ESPN: dos Anjos vs. Fiziev? I’m not quite sure how to do it and this user has repeatedly edit warring with numerous users and making derogatory comments when warned. Thank you! Sdpdude9 (talk) 05:14, 10 July 2022 (UTC)

I am the only one "usually" (as some editor would help as well) would warn editors on the event page during the fights and if any of you would like learn about counter vandalism, pls sign up for the WP:CVUA program. Dillip17 Good day. When you make an edit all you have to do is click "publish changes" button on the top left corner of the page. However, all info added or changed on any articles in Wikipedia need to be supported by independent, reliable source for verification such as from the maor newspapers. Sources can be in any languages. You can use the horizontal format of Template:Citeweb if the sources are from the web/internet.       • Next Linked Data for Libraries LD4 Wikidata Affinity Group call July 26, 2022: Clair Kronk, Crystal Clements, and Alex Jung will be providing an update to Wikidata/gender discussions from the February 8 call with a focus on pronouns. Clair will introduce us to LGBTdb, a Wikibase instance created for and by LGBTQIA+ people from which we draw insight in Wikidata-related discussions. We also hope to discuss current pain points and share action items for future collaboration. Input from community members who are familiar with lexicographical data would be greatly appreciated.     • User:Magnus Manske/referee.js - is a userscript that automatically checks external IDs and URLs of a Wikidata item as potential references, and adds them with a single click.
  • Development
    • Lexicographical data: We went over all the feedback we received for teh testing of the new Special:NewLexeme page and started addressing it and fixing the uncovered issues. One issue already fixed is a bug that prevented it from working on mobile view. (phab:T313116)
    • Mismatch Finder: investigated how we can make it work for mismatches in qualifiers instead of the main statement (phab:T313467)
    • REST API: Continued working on making it possible to replace and remove a statement of an Item
    • We enabled the profile parameter to the wbsearchentities API on Test Wikidata (phab:T307869)
    • We continued making Wikibase resolve redirects when showing Item labels and descriptions in more places (phab:T312223)

  • Last week, some wikis were in read-only mode for a few minutes because of an emergency switch of their main database (targeted wikis). [11]

Changes later this week

  • The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 26 July. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 27 July. It will be on all wikis from 28 July (calendar).
  • The external link icon will change slightly in the skins Vector legacy and Vector 2022. The new icon uses simpler shapes to be more recognizable on low-fidelity screens. [12]
  • Administrators will now see buttons on user pages for "Change block" and "Unblock user" instead of just "Block user" if the user is already blocked. [13]
