A tag has been placed on User:Chayobriggs/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from huffingtonpost.com/entry/harmful-credit-myths-stop-believing_us_5b15c1dce4b093ac33a0ffd3. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. July 2019[edit]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself, at Wikipedia:Help desk. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Please stop adding your autobiography you do not meet the WP:GNG guidelines like most of us who edit here. I suggest you use social media or start your own website. Wikipedia is not a venue for self promotion. Theroadislong (talk) 19:55, 31 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Blocking[edit]

I am working to get all the specifics right with creating a Wikipedia user page and write articles. I sent a request to be unblocked but am not sure if it was received. Can I at least write and submit articles, while the request is processing? Chayobriggs (talk) 13:39, 4 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Chayobriggs. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the COI guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Eni vak (speak) 21:01, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I understand that I cannot write, edit or publicise for personal gain. I have spent the last several days, reading regulations and would vey much like the chance to submit articles again. As per my profession I believe I can be a valued member of the Wikipedia family, contributing my knowledge to education people in a constuctive mannor that meets your criterias. Please review the post and associated links about conflict of interest above. You won't be allowed to write about yourself, your field, or anything related to your conflict of interest. What unrelated subjects do you want to edit about? If you just want to tell people about your field or what you do, you should use social media, a personal website, or other alternative forum. 331dot (talk) 06:44, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the reply, I have many interets in my life, but there was on article I have been working on for the last year, about alternative credit data. It was accepted and just asked to reword it, due to, they said it sounded like a book report. Plus, I have interests about language, among other things. Is that not what Wikipedia is about information, history, true accounts and events? I like to write and want to participate. What is the next step here to move forward?Chayobriggs (talk) 13:29, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Subsequent comments should be standard comments, as you only need one open unblock request. Do you affirm that you will not directly edit about yourself, your field, or anything related to your conflict of interest? You may make edit requests on article talk pages in those areas. 331dot (talk) 14:23, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I do understand that I cannot directly edit about yourself, your field, or anything related to your conflict of interest. Just one question? Can I work on the article that was previously accepted, but needed rewording "Alternative Credit data"? If not I understand and will do my best stay within the regulations of Wikipedia— Preceding unsigned comment added by Chayobriggs (talkcontribs)
This will need to be resolved in conjunction with the Lizzymcnett account; I'm going to look at what is going on there, too. 331dot (talk) 18:20, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You can use edit requests for that article, as well. 331dot (talk) 18:23, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • DMacks I have some thoughts on this, but how do you think this should proceed? I've declined the request of Lizzymcnett. 331dot (talk) 18:30, 7 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Chayobriggs:, let's start by clarifying the relationship of these two accounts. Are you the one and only person who uses these two accounts, or are either of them also shared with other individuals? This comment by User:Lizzymcnett left me a bit confused on that point. DMacks (talk) 05:40, 8 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, from now on I will be the only one using this account. User_talk:Lizzymcnett&diff=909644468&oldid=909401303 had log in to add articles and work on the bio, but as we learned that is not allowed. Request reason:

Thanks for the reply. I will explain one more time, the only other person who has logged into my account was lizzymcnett. All she did was write and edit the article alternative credit data, and work on my bio. All before my account was blocked. NO one else has used this account, or will ever again. I will be the only one from now on. All I want to do is complete the article I started a year ago. Is that possible? I don't know what else you need, or how esle to explain? Thank you for clarifying. I think the problem was that administrators couldn't tell whether you were talking about a friend or company that was paying you to spam Wikipedia. Spammers often speak in plural. For example: "We are sorry for spamming Wikipedia, but we didn't know any better." Accounts are supposed to be used by only one person, so when people use plural pronouns, it's both confusing and suspicious. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 20:38, 12 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
