Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Cloudscape (band) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Cloudscape (band) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.facebook.com/cloudscapesweden/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Cloudscapeonline. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Cloudscape (band), you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 13:27, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

New Era

[edit]

I have reverted your edits at New Era. You may not take an existing page and simply rewrite it to your own purposes. Since the page with this title already exists, you will need to create your new article at New Era (Cloudscape album). WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 13:34, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding this edit: you created an article at New era2012, but Wikipedia has guidelines for article titles. Since the title of the album is New Era, the proper title for the article is New Era (Cloudscape album) (to distinguish it from other articles at Wikipedia named "New Era"). Please edit the article at New Era (Cloudscape album), not the redirect page that has been created at New era2012. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:23, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

I've noted that in several articles, you've edited the WikiLinks to include the "_" (underscore) character. For example, you've changed

[[New Era (Cloudscape album)|New Era]]

to

[[New_Era_(Cloudscape_album)|New Era]]

This is an unnecessary change. The syntax with spaces will work just as well as the syntax with underscores. I'm not sure why you're making these changes. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:37, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Per Wikipedia's external linking policy, we don't add links to external websites within the body of an article (as you have done in linking to the website of your band's label, Dead End Exit). External links at the end of an article are to be used to point readers to websites that might contain more encyclopedic content than can reasonably be placed within an article, but they are not to be used for simply promotional content. In this case, there is already a link to your band's website on your band's page. If you choose at your website to link visitors to your label's website, that's fine, but it is not appropriate to do at Wikipedia. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:21, 19 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Unrelated information

[edit]

How is Cloudsape's 3½ week tour related to the album New Era. Since it appears to be unrelated to that album (the album was released in 2012, the tour was in 2014), the information does not belong in the album's article. It reasonably belongs in the article about the band, and in the article about Touring Europe With A Blast From The Past that was released in support of the tour, but it doesn't appear related to the New Era album, so it shouldn't be mentioned there. Information icon Hello, I'm XLinkBot. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to the page New Era (Cloudscape album), because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links.
Your edit here to New Era (Cloudscape album) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7CypvBjSpBo, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cbUn_0v8cI) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Global Drama. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you.
