Respect BRD please[edit]

Hi, I gather you didn't agree with some of my reverts. Well fine, but that requires some talk page discussion. You should at least give me a chance to hang myself on the talk page before simply reloading what I reverted. That's the discuss part of WP:BRD. If you skip the discuss part, then you are edit warring, which may result in sanctions. I'll address the content of these edits on another day. For now I just wanted to register a complaint that you are skipping over the "discuss" part of BRD, and that looks like Edit-warring behavior, even if you haven't exceeded 3 reverts. Try harder? I don't edit war. I'm contributing to the site according to WP:BRD, and if you want to be constructive rather than blindly revert without more discussion (where discussion had already occurred), then you can.

If you practice WP:AGF, then you might conclude I was trying to WP:DONTBITE. You made two edits that left out key parts of info. That appears to be cherrypicking. You restored one without even attempting BRD. Instead you posed your D in the edit summary when you reverted my revert. Great, you know how the site works and that means you know that's the first salvo in an edit war. You need to do at least some D, where you could have asked "what criticisms for pete's sake" and then I could have answered that your own RS includes Gov Christie's claim that emissions were not being lowered and other people's claim that the reduction is not due to the program but due to the recession.

But you skipped the D part, and reverted my revert. That's an edit war. I don't know how to be more civil or polite in making this observation, though I'd be happy to advance to WP:THIRD or other forum to discuss whether you cherrypicked only part of the RS's info, or whether you launched the first salvo of an EW.

My only interest is to ensure NPOV additions of future RSs, without the cherrypicking. Does that seem like a reasonable goal to you?

I assumed good faith until you demonstrated that you believe I act in bad faith, and so I don't anymore (which is common sense, frankly). I'm mystified as to why you see me as this bogeymen acting in bad faith, but whatever. Anyways, I cherry-picked nothing, nor did I edit war. I merely reported the key points of the information in both cases on both articles. In your instance, you've chosen to behave tenaciously rather than constructively- ignoring my attempts at discussion and frank questions as to why you wanted to revert things.

At first it was mystifying to me why you'd merely revert and edit war rather than contribute more information to the article to give context if you felt that more context is needed (which I support). But then I looked at your history on the website, and, well, at least I know what I'm dealing with- this sort of thing is pretty common for climate change-related editors I guess. I still am left scratching my head as to why you'd rather blow a wet raspberry at me rather then actually adding the blasted context yourself, when you knew that it would be supported by me.

To be honest, I do feel a bit upset at your personal attacks, especially your condensing claim that you intentionally know is false that I'm new here and don't understand Wikipedia procedure, things that you said just to tweak me, given that I thought you could edit more substantively. I assure you that I don't care for your negative playground attitude. But if you want to edit those articles, then that's fine, of course, and you're welcome too as an established editor. I would like you to clean up your behavior, though.

Track "Whatever Happened to Sin?" particularly attacks the growing acceptance of both abortion and homosexuality among Christians from a traditional theological perspective.

First, you missed the third verse where it discusses how American politicians use Christianity to get themselves elected and then they don't follow through on their faith. Second, it's not a "traditional" perspective, it's one Evangelical perspective. Third, it's not about growing acceptance at all, it simply offers an opposing view to those perspectives. Do you know if this is a recognised alternate spelling of "Arniya"? For context, this article came from a block-evading sockpuppet who was creating apparently unfounded articles about the "Arina" language last week. From my searching (which wasn't in depth, just some Googling), I don't see it as a recognized alternate spelling but just as a typo, one that doesn't appear often but seems to pop up. While this probably does relate to the sockpuppet's weird obsession, from the point of view of the redirect itself I think it may be worth keeping around given how we have all kinds of similar redirects, such as (just off the top of my head) Mumbia going to Mumbai. I don't understand your attitude. Everyone else is following the processes for determining consensus for a content dispute. You seem to want everyone to acquiesce to you opinion, which is not how a collaborative project works. You can't override consensus by moving pages and ignoring the outcomes of two AfDs and multiple RfCs, no matter how strongly you feel about it. It's rather sad that you're engaging in complete psychological projection, given that you've assumed bad faith and acted in a terrible manner to begin with, to now suddenly play victim and act as if I've been committing some great sin because how dare I take an act that you oppose. It's even sadder given that I'm following the processes for determining consensus for a content dispute. It's people like you that utterly refuse to comment on talk pages with reason, hashing things out, and instead you just have to have it your own way and override the consensus when, as the RFD plainly stated, there's a majority viewpoint for a "Kim Davis _____ controversy/controversies" page.

Look, you can spew whatever bile you want on talk pages and engage in whatever obsessive edit warring on pages if you like (I'm not going to step in further in terms of article names), but if you want to toss some eggs on the wall of my talk page then just know that your next comment here will be your last. Any more bad faith personal attacks I'll just remove. Clearly, you either haven't read the context, or you have and you're just here on some kind of a harassment or something. I'd like to point out that I have a rather long history of constructively editing Wikipedia, and when people like those other editors believe that I'm nothing more than some kind of subhuman because that anyone that dares to object to breaking procedure and breaking consensus must be stopped.

Going to note that I reverted. Here's why:

A)Labeling the article as a "psuedo-biography" is 100% fair comment on an article's quality. There's literally zero reasons to view that as any kind of libel, slander, or anything of the sort. Multiple other editors have said the same thing.

B)Asking for details as to why someone voted in an RFC when they go something like Keep, Oppose, etc and aren't going in depth is 100% fair comment. It's not hounding in any way. It's not uncivil in any way. That's normal. That's how normal discussions are done. The part I redacted, and you reverted, was calling other edits liars and "I'm not surprised that you want to keep pouring out viles of hate, foaming at the mouth, like you've done for days now, but it's getting tiresome". Yes, like I said in the talk page of that article for the game, I made a mistaken click tagging it for deletion rather than tagging it as a tag (that it needed category storing). You called the redirect ((Vakhidov)) Sobit (Abdumukit) Valikhonovich "baffling", and agreed with the nominator it should be deleted.

I think the nominator should have done a web search, to find out whether or not that exact spelling was in use. I think that if they found it in use they should have concluded it should be retained, without regard to whether or not people found it "baffling".

I have done my research. The individual has been known as 'Vakhidov Sobit Abdumukit Valikhonovich' in terms of reporting based on the U.S. government's shifting about of his name. He has not been known as '((Vakhidov)) Sobit (Abdumukit) Valikhonovich'. We have redirects of different form (such as Trump, Donald for Donald Trump), and those are fine. We don't have things such as '((Trump)), Pres(ident) Don(a)ld'.

Back when I was an undergrad, Gerald Weinberg, a writer on software engineering, wrote about the "egoless programming team" - teams that worked better, more efficiently, because everyone committed to remember they were fallible, and did not put their ego on the line, every time they stated an opinion. I really think this excellent advice is extremely appropriate here. [2]

WRT the research you did - it fell short. It is not a lapse from AGP, on my part, to point out that official documents, reprinted in over 1000 newspapers, reprinting the name you called "baffling". Even if the DoD moved on, and now only rarely uses their "baffling" use of ((Vakhidov)) Sobit (Abdumukit) Valikhonovich, its use was a completely policy compliant reason to retain the redirect.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
