Speedy deletion nomination of Desiderio Sanzi[edit]

Hello Coocuyo,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Desiderio Sanzi for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Notice

The article Desiderio Sanzi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article is entirely unsourced, sources listed in references section do not support any of the claims, speedily deleted on Italian Wikipedia as promotional. Portrait is by claimed by author as "own work" but is copyright desiderio sanzi.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. John B123 Hi, excuse me, there are public events, references of the work done exactly like this artist, taking his own line. i don't understand this different way in the selection of the page of desiderio_sanzi you tell me that I cannot put the sources because they are promotional, another user tells me to put the sources to verify it he was in the venice biennale together with desiderio sanzi: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandre_Arrechea (does not seem to me to be different)

I'm saying the article is promotional not the sources. If you make an article about yourself then it should be created in draftspace and go through the WP:AfC process. Also you need to declare a WP:COI when writing about yourself. --John B123 (talk) 21:25, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

John B123 If I write about this artist, where is the conflict? I would also like to understand what difference this page, which has already been on Wikipedia for some time, makes: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexandre_Arrechea then this is also promotional--

From your comments on the talk page I have done many public events, I have made several films and all that is stated is true. I have all the documentation of my artistic activity of many years, you are the artist. --John B123 (talk) 21:52, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

John B123 so if it is written by a different author who has no connection with the artist, it can be OK? *(then where did I say I was the artist?)

Are you saying you're not Desiderio Sanzi? --John B123 (talk) 23:08, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

John B123 i know him as an artist, of course, and i am passionate about his work. since he has done a lot of work in cuba, doing some great community projects, i wanted to give him some importance. that's all. when i have the material, i would like to include other artists in the future.

Desiderio Sanzi moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Desiderio Sanzi, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Possibly (talk) 23:33, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

As you have admitted you are Desiderio Sanzi, you need to use the article for creation process to publish the article. Pres the submit button on the draft when you have added good sources. Possibly (talk) 23:39, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly every time a user tells me something different?! first put the sources, then delete them because they are too promotional. the version he sees has been modified and not by but I think by another author— Preceding unsigned comment added by Coocuyo (talkcontribs)

Possibly where would i have admitted it? but excuse me but when i put the official site of the venice biennale, more official than that, I could put others and then it tells me they are too promotional... there is an unjustified fury. I am very sorry.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Coocuyo (talkcontribs)

@Coocuyo: read the WP:COI policy. I think it was when you wrote "all the best, Desiderio" and "I have done many public events, I have made several films and all that is stated is true. I have all the documentation of my artistic activity of many years." that I got the idea you are him. Anyway, you must follow the COI policy. Possibly (talk) 23:52, 18 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Possibly i took Desiderio's side to give him better support, i made a mistake, but i did it in good faith, since from the beginning i couldn't make his work worthwhile, and i saw a continuous doggedness, when artists who collaborated with him have the same page. there is no conflict and as i have explained in the future i would like to include other artists. I have always tried to follow all your criticism but each time it is always different and often contradictory to each other— Preceding unsigned comment added by Coocuyo (talkcontribs)
@Coocuyo: Your account has made several posts saying that you are Desiderio. Are you saying he gave you the account login information so you could work on the page? Possibly (talk) 00:02, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly I just wanted to contribute to this platform by putting the work of this artist on it, then inexperience led me to make mistakes which I have tried to correct. no more, no less.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Coocuyo (talkcontribs)

@Coocuyo: It's quite clear that you are the person you are trying to make an article about, as you have said that several times and also signed with the name Desiderio. You are free to edit the draft article, but you must not make anymore edits to mainspace Desiderio Sanzi or push the draft article to mainspace, in line with our COI policy. I think you have been warned plenty on that now. See WP:RS, WP:SIGCOV and WP:NARTIST for information that may help with your draft. Also please start to WP:SIGN your posts, as it is the way we do things here. Thanks. Possibly (talk) 00:14, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Draft:Desiderio Sanzi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.imdb.com/name/nm6224940/bio. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
