Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore[edit]

I have made some changes to the page Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore..and English is not my first language....can someone check for grammatical errors?.thanks--Cormeo (talk) 21:58, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! I've taken a look at your edits, and while I do see a few issues, most of your recent edits look just fine. I'll see what I can do to change up some of the phrasing and improve the sentence flow. Incidentally, a word of advice: if you're going to be making large-scale changes to an article, it's sometimes better to copy the contents to your user space and make your changes there, then copy everything all at once back into the main article instead of numerous small changes, such as what I've seen here. But again, that's just a suggestion, not a requirement. Thank you for your contributions, and feel free to contact me if you need further assistance! --McDoobAU93 16:28, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, it needed much further editing. The translation not only did not produce correct English, it did not even produce meaningful English in some places. The errors were mostly use of words which may translate some of the meanings of the Italian, but have no relevant meaning in the context, connecting phrases that are simply not directly translatable into what is used in English, and sentence order so different from English as to make it unreadable.. I needed to remove one or two sentences entirely which I could not decipher DGG ( talk ) 17:22, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Sergio Zaninelli has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore; colleges[edit]

I am sorry that I have to tell tou that I have nominated the three colleges mentioned above. The provided source convince me that those colleges are dormitories and not educational institutes. That makes them not notable, sorry. Night of the Big Wind talk 22:09, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

They are a mix because they offers courses in addition to courses of the university. So i think they can be considered notable. Paolo VI College can be consider important for the building, which was built by Gio Ponti. The structure is famous in Milan--Cormeo (talk) 22:12, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of ASERI, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: ASERI – Postgraduate School of Economics and International Relations. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. MadmanBot (talk) 16:21, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please explain why you deleted the material, which had been added by a different editor and not by yourself (unless you were editing without being logged in?) PamD 17:44, 8 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Falsifying statements[edit]

You go really far to protect your articles. Too far, to my opinion. Falsifying statements that articles are kept is way over the limit. So I have reported your IP. Night of the Big Wind talk 20:11, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
