Welcome!

Hello, Cristiano717, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome!

But... Are you attempting to slip disinformation and grammatical errors into Wikipedia in the hope no-one will notice? Because there are several people following you around and cleaning up after you, so it'd be a waste of your time if you are. Thanks. ➨ ЯEDVERS takes life at five times the average speed 10:26, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, you'll also want to not use the undo button on good-faith edits, especially if using it reintroduces grammatical errors. Thanks. ➨ ЯEDVERS takes life at five times the average speed 10:28, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

December 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Birmingham City F.C. has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, please ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. What are you doing?[edit]

You've come back this morning and have started blindly reverting anybody who has changed articles to which you have added grammatical errors and unsourced information.

I'd like some communication from you, just some clue as to whether you're doing this in error or deliberately. Insertion of unsourced information in articles, especially articles on living people, is not acceptable and if you keep edit-warring, even in slow-motion, to insert these unsourced assertions you will be blocked from editing. Do you understand? ➨ ЯEDVERS takes life at five times the average speed 09:11, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Right, so we've established that you're mistaken, rather than deliberately putting misinformation into articles. Thanks for starting to communicate! Wikipedia is a community, and we work together to spread knowledge, so communication is important. You can communicate with anybody here by clicking their signature and looking for their talk page (mine is at User talk:Redvers, for instance).
When it comes to adding to articles, we need third-party reliable sources for facts you want to add. So, if you want to say that a footballer has been demoted, the Wikipedia article on the team isn't the place to source the information - you need a news report or a press release from the football club. Similarly, putting facts into other biographies of living people requires good, checkable sourcing; if an article says something you don't agree with, like having a list of girlfriends, the solution is not to add random names to the list, but to remove the list entirely or find a source for it. In other subjects (not living people), you can tag the bit you don't trust by putting {{fact}} at the end of the sentence.
Finally, if you have trouble with spelling or grammar, and many people do, don't worry, someone will be along shortly to correct the errors - we call this "wikignoming". Always try to not introduce grammar errors (read the sentence you've changed back to yourself), but it will be corrected later. Don't revert the person who corrected you: the joy of Wikipedia is that wherever you look, you find someone smarter than you who can sort your problems. Works for me, too! ➨ ЯEDVERS takes life at five times the average speed 11:23, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for violating the three-revert rule at Sergio Ramos. Please be more careful to discuss controversial changes or seek dispute resolution rather than engaging in an edit war. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. Aervanath lives in the Orphanage 17:04, 17 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
