This is it's airplay chart info in China

[edit]

Hi, I've found you have deleted the airplay chart info in China. But obviously, you are not familiar with Chinese and the internet situation in China. You may check the offical web site of Hit-FM, and found it is only something like a blog in myspace. The resources you "removed info that was sourced by an unreliable reference" are not unraliable at all. If you would like to check the info's reliability, you may try to download the records of the radio to verify the information. Parabola1999 (talk) 06:15, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

billboard magazine/invincible album

[edit]

hi , would it be possible to put in the intro something that reflects the Invincible albums overall legacy in the 2000's. By this i mean replacing whether in 2004 or 2009 it had a bit more sales, with the recognition by the "Billboard magazine readers poll" as album of the decade,in a boldface or italic letters to highlight this achievement. thank you--72.144.62.86 (talk) 19:01, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Other stuff in that Invincible (Michael Jackson album) GAN

[edit]

I hope this is the right place to reach you (this sounds rather unorthodox), but I also raised a question in the "Coverage concerns" section in the Invincible GAN that I felt should be addressed regarding the album's sales after Michael Jackson's death. Respond there whenever you get a chance. Thank you, –MuZemike 06:56, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've addressed your remaining concern's with the article on the article's GA review page. Crystal Clear x3 00:48, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This Is It

[edit]

Out of random curiosity, was Jackson's recording of the song "This Is It" discovered before the This Is It concert tour was planned/named and was always meant to be released, or was it discovered after Jackson's death and while the movie was being created in an incredible coincidence? This doesn't have anything to do with an article, I was just wondering =]. liquidlucktalk 07:47, 19 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The "This Is It" song was found by Jackson's brother's after his death when they were sorting through his stuff and the song's title and the name of his tour, which led to the "This Is It" movie and soundtrack, were just a coincidence because his record label stated that they had no proof to suggest that he had plans to ever release the song. Crystal Clear x3 00:58, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A few questions?

[edit]

I thought since Heaven Can Wait (Michael Jackson Song) charted and was a radio single, it was notable. Also how do I join Wikipedia:WikiProject Michael Jackson

The song "Heave Can Wait" (from MJ's Invincible album) was suppose to be released as a single but was canceled after the conflict with Sony Music, so it's notable enough to have its own page. If you want to join the MJ Wiki Project add your username in this -> "{{ }}" to the active users list : ). Crystal Clear x3 21:49, 27 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tik Tok

[edit]

Thank you for your review, it was very detailed :)
So basically ive correct about 90% of what you've listed. What i have left to do is....

  • The song's composition is not discussed very much in the composition section, are there any reliable sources that discusses anything about the songs content?
Basically I've looked everywhere, if i stumble across something else ill add it, but for now, no.
Musicnotes.com (which is used in the article) has information on the songs chord progression.
  • The images used in the article should have alt text.
Honestly i dont have a clue what that means, so please explain...
See WP:ALT
  • Also, why are the names of the publications she was interviewed by in the article? What notability do they have to be mentioned?
That i left, im not sure how i could correct it, any suggestions?
In the writing section it should just say "Kesha said", and/or "when interviewed about the song's lyrical content" rather then saying things like "In an interview with Esquire,"
  • In the Chart procession and succession section why is the chart table hidden?
If you want to be bold and change it, go ahead, it have it that way since there is sooo much information it in, it just looks more appealing the way it is (in my opinion)
I'm not sure how to change the chart table. For the record GAs like Bad Romance also have lots of information about its chart procession and succession and there tables are shown. Crystal Clear x3 18:11, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • The credits and personnel section needs some type of sourcing. Crystal Clear x3 07:23, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
80% of all GA articles ive looked at, say the have a source, but there are unclickable. i got the information from the CD booklet, the best ref i could give would be to a picture of the Credits.
For sourcing the credits and personnel section liner notes from the album should be cited. Crystal Clear x3 18:11, 2 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This Is It

[edit]

Nothing to do with editing, I was just wondering and thought you might know =]. Did Jackson's label already intend to release This Is It (song) before naming the This Is It (Michael Jackson concerts) concert series "This Is It", or did they discover the demo after he died and decided to release it, and both the song and the concert series have the same name by some bizarre coincidence? liquidlucktalk 01:49, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The "This Is It" demo was discovered after he died, the concert's and the song's name is just an odd coincidence. Thanks for asking : ) Crystal Clear x3 01:55, 4 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! How weird. That's a good basis for a conspiracy theory ;). liquidlucktalk 03:10, 6 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Who Is It's Music Video

[edit]

There was a Who Is It music video. No, it is not the one shown on MTV or VH1. This was about MJ discovering his 'girlfriend' was cheating, as the video shows she was a prostitute. Because of this, he leaves the area in a helicopter. Here is a link to the music video for the rare music video [1]. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Daboyle250 (talkcontribs) 19:21, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You need a reliable source. Crystal Clear x3 19:24, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why did write that in this diff("Who Is It" was recorded by Michael Jackson in 1990 for his eight studio album, Dangerous, which was released the following year.[1] The track was written by Jackson and produced by Jackson and Bill Bottrell.[1] "Who is It" was released as the fifth single from Dangerous on August 31, 1992, by Jackson's record label, Epic Records. The track's music genre is credited as being R&B and New jack swing.)? I am currently reading the album liner notes of an original Dangerous pressing. The only date is shown in (C)1991 MJAC Music and nothing else, so why did you write that?Carmaker1 (talk) 20:39, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've fixed the sourcing and clarified the sourcing for the credits (I meant to use Allmusic as the source). Crystal Clear x3 20:53, 7 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. Allmusic has that info? It would be really nice to find a solid source clarifying the recording dates for Dangerous tracks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.26.16.32 (talk) 23:27, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Crystal Clear! How are you? Congratulations, i am hugely impressed with your works on MJ articles. Everyday when I turn on my PC, I immediately visit the list of your contributions to see what new have you done. I would like to ask you about the article Smile (Charlie Chaplin song). I think it would be better to split the Michael Jackson part into a new article. There are a lot of covers, and who would write so many of it in one article. What do you think? Thank you.--MajklDzekson (talk) 07:52, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comments : ). Regarding the "Smile" song, since the song charted on the UK chart, I think that it would probably be better if his version was to have its own article. Crystal Clear x3 08:14, 8 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I Am... Sasha Fierce

[edit]

Why have you rather controversially downgraded the article from Quality B to Quality C? Lil-unique1 (talk) 22:15, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I listed the song as C grade quality because for one, it was already listed as C class for R&B and soul music, as well as because it has numerous bare links, it has barely any discussion of the song's composition, the lead is not descriptive of the entire article, and their are numerous sections with unsourced info. Crystal Clear x3 22:20, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Also, there are unreliable sources in the article, as well as references with overlink. Crystal Clear x3 22:25, 9 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well do you not think it would have been more informative for you to have highlighted this on the talk page and given some specific examples? furthermore if that's how you felt why didnt you carry out the GA-Nom? simply downgrading an article without any explaination is not rude and unhelpful. Several editors want to see it pass GA and so im trying to edit the article bit-by-bit to see if it can pass. Lil-unique1 (talk) 01:26, 10 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The reason why I did not review the article for GA is because I am not a GA reviewer, although I usually do leave additional comments during articles GA reviews. To be honest, I think that you should remove the article's GA nomination until the problems I've listed above are fixed because I would not be surprised if another editor were to review and GA quick fail the article. Are you kidding me? I've been reverting YOUR disruptive edits from those two articles. I, as well as another editor, have repeatedly said that the information pertaining to song's performed in the film was unneeded, fancrutf, unsoruced, and redundant, and I've been removing the single's box from the W.B.S.S. article because it was unneeded, unsourced, and was disrupting the references. If YOU continue to make disruptive edits and edit war then you will be blocked from editing. Crystal Clear x3 03:18, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Whoa. No need for shouting. LIKE THIS! Now lets settle this like gentlemen. I've been the one who as been reverting your disruptive edits from those two articles. I've been trying to make the articles better but you keep on damaging them. I've actually seen Michael Jackson's This Is It and I can confirm those are the songs that are featured in the film. Maybe the songs performed is unneeded for you but for other people it is needed. Just because someone thinks that something is unneeded that doesn't mean you go around erasing everything. Another single box is needed for Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' 2008 because it's a another single. I don't know if you hate Michael Jackson or if you are just doing this to get attention but if you continue to make disruptive edits and edit war then you will be blocked from editing. First off, I was not shouting, I was using capital letters to get my point across, second, I do not "hate" MJ, I'm actually a fan of his, third, I am not reverting your edits for "attention". Regarding the single box for W.B.S.S. I did not think it was appropriate to have for the 2008 version because it was interfering with the reference list, but I guess it would be understandable if the single box could stay. However, I do not agree with keeping any of the information you want in the This is It article. The list of song's used in the film, is unneeded and redundant (his performances of the song's is mentioned in the content section), and its also unsourced, Wikipedia editors can not assert the information is factual just because they claim to have seen the film. Other information that I do not think should be in the article is the lists of songs with bullet points that, aside from being unsourced, is fancruft and unneeded information, listing out the song's Jackson was suppose to perform is unneeded because the article is about the film, not his rehearsal schedule. For the record, regrading the This Is It information, another editor had also removed the same information that an IP added, stating that they were removing the information for the same reason as me. Well well... your true colors are being revealed, Crystal. By the way, where's the "consensus" that, according to you, determined that the SNL parody on WATW 25 for Haiti is irrelevant and unneeded? It would be nice if you read Wikipedia:Consensus. I invite you to the WATW 25 for Haiti talk page to discuss this matter. --Boutros Boutros Boutros (talk) 17:10, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
First off, do you have nothing better to do with your life than stalk a person's talk page? Second, where exactly have my "true colors" been revealed? You mean the colors of me that do not want unsourced, redundant fancruft in an article? Or the colors where I removed information that another editor had also removed for the same reason's as me? I said, and still stand by, my feelings that the crap, thats unneeded and unsourced, should not be in the article. I'll be more than happy to discuss this matter on the talk page of W.A.T.W.25. Crystal Clear x3 19:41, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I moved the section for Wanna Be Startin' Somethin' 2008 so it won't interfere with the reference list. Chelo61 (talk) 23:52, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A point to consider

I'm not sure you have the best match of reviewers for Cry. If things go too poorly, you may choose to withdraw it and resubmit it at a later date.—Kww(talk) 05:25, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, the GA reviewer just failed the article for one minor problem. No problem though, I've renominated the article for GA status. Crystal Clear x3 05:35, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Jackson Page

[edit]

Crystal Clear x3 Plaease refrain from removing the lead in the Michael Jackson article. The lead Paragraphs hasbeen structured this way for a reason. If any edits are to be done it should br from this lead. To discuss edits please refer to Talk: Michael Jackson. Thank You.Hubbletelescope2 (talk) 13:04, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What are you talking about? I did refer to the talk page to discuss changing the lead before I made the actual edit. Crystal Clear x3 19:05, 1 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Songs performed in Michael Jackson's This Is It

[edit]

"I've removed the list of songs, again, it is unsourced. The article is about the film, not solely about information on his performances of the song's"

As we know, This film is a documentary–concert film, the majority part of the film is a concert, so the list of songs performed in this film is important information for it. It is true that "this article is about the film", but it is also true that "this film is about his performances of the songs". And the songs in the soundtrack is different from the songs performed in this film. Without the list of songs, the core information of the film lacked.

Obviously, source is important, but the film itself is the source for the song list. The detailed info of the songs performed, such as pre-recorded or live vocal may be unsourced, but the song list itself is not. Parabola1999 (talk) 11:52, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I get what your trying to say, but, the table-list of the songs needs sources to back-up what it says in the "notes" section of the table-list. Also, the bullet-point-list needs sources and is unneeded because like I said, the article is about the film itself rather than Jackson's rehearsal schedule for the concerts. On another note, the entire list of songs is completely redundant, the songs performed in the film is mentioned in the "content" section. Regards, Crystal Clear x3 12:38, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Actually the "content" section is not clear enough for the information. The better solution is to make the "content" section clear enough. Song list is the seential information for this film. And the film itself is really the song list. I'm afraid that you have confused with the "rehearsal schedule" and the "song performed", the deleted list is the content of the film, rather than the "rehearsal schedule". The schedule is different from the song list. Best wishes, Parabola1999 (talk) 11:36, 6 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
